    My understanding was that with time this device would learn your favorite programs and enable you to switch between them without switching apps. For example one program is on YouTube TV, another on Paramount. You can select either on the same screen. This feature works well and the device works well in general.

    Ended up returning it. I have been a chromecast user from the beginning but this just didn't do it for me.

    Got a new box, opened with excitment only to realize it had an used remote. The batteries were already in the remote and scuff marks on the back. It says to hold 2 buttons on the remote to sync with the device but nothing happens. The actual device looks new. Unfortunely I opened the box a couple months after my purchase so can’t return/exchange. Great job Downingtown, PA Best Buy fooling people and making money.

    Won't deliver correct resolution for all TVs

    The convenience of it having all the apps is nice, but it fails to recognize my TVs actual resolution capabilities and puts itself into 480p mode putting up a message that 480p is unsupported. Going into display settings provides no options other than 480p.

    If you just want a Chromecast, skip this. It barely functions as a Chromecast (meaning casting from a device to the CC on your TV) and forces a bunch of extra, unnecessary features because of the Google TV integration. The CC feature is super laggy and unstable and functions worse than my old regular CC without GTV integration. Waste of money (both this and the 4K one).

    I have the older Chromecasts and cheap Android TV and this blows them both out the water. One you set it up you don't need a phone to cast to it its basically like buying a working cheap Android tv which i haven't found one yet thats half as good as this thing

    It’s a streaming device. Needs airplay. Sold my Pixel so it’s not as useful as it was.

    I thought i would use this at hotels since i travel alot. Rarely are the hotel TVs positioned in a way that you have access tobthe panel to connect the Chromecast. Don't waste your money. And even if connected there are internet password issues to use.
