    Does not support Spectrum TV app

    Really disappointed. After over 40 minutes of set up I find that it does not support the Spectrum TV app that I wanted use to get rid of those piece of junk cable box that I pay to "rent" every month. There was no obvious way way to find this out until after I set it up.

    It’s great. I just would prefer the 4k model. If you’re looking to get this product out one that’s equivalent then I would just go ahead and dive in to the Google brand but pick the 4k. You won’t regret it. It works perfect with iPhone which is what I have.

      Our priority is giving our customers more options and making devices for every home. Chromecast works with most TVs that have an HDMI port regardless of the TV brand. But we understand that some users don’t have 4K-capable TV, so we released the 1080p version. Users like you can watch video only at a resolution that both your TV and Chromecast are capable of. For example, if you use Chromecast with Google TV (4K) with a 1080p TV, you can watch video up to 1080p, but you won’t get video in 4K. Video resolution also depends on the content you’re streaming.

    Bought in phoenix for tv in quartzsite. Didn't work. Went yuma to return since on way to algadones. Not after 14 days. Lovely policy if you live in town bought.

    Slow and buggy

    I thought this would rival a fire stick. This thing is just slow , too many bugs, should not have to force quit apps for them to work correctly. Only reason to pick this up is just for smart home ecosystem.

    Sometimes the remote does not work well, it does not move anything except when I open the battery or unplug the device from the power. The device is not of the mentioned quality

If you haven't tried yet, we recommend trying out new AAA batteries to check if the issue isn't related to a battery drain issue. Lastly, if you're willing to try, we suggest resetting your Chromecast with Google TV (HD) to see if it might be helpful in fixing the issue. A factory reset will reset the Chromecast device to its default factory settings. This action will clear your data and can't be undone. To reset:
      With the Chromecast Voice Remote:
      - In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile > and then Settings.
      - Select System > and then About and then Factory Reset.

      From the Chromecast device:
      - While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED will start blinking yellow.
      - When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast will then reset.

    I had very high hopes for this Google product, but unfortunately I had to return it. I so glad that Best Buy accepted it back. Probably a great product - for someone else.

    Purchased to upgrade from a first gen Chromecast Dongle. Works ok with Android but not to at all with IPhone. Had to reinstall original device so we could continue to cast from IPhone. All other features are good.

    All i wanted was to cast from my phone or computer to my rv camper's tv. First thing it wanted was my credit card. It wouldn't let me set it up without it.

    hello, i absolutely dislike this "updated" google Chromecast. several of the apps have no sound on the tv

    It was hard to setp up. Alot of back and forth and the main issue is the range. This device has such a small range that i had to place the router really close to it.p

    No airplay built in, choppy OS and feature bloat

    Does a lot of things I dont want, when I just want a device I can airplay to. The OS and UX is also quite choppy and slow.
