Many appreciate the device control features, allowing for monitoring and management of children's internet usage. Great way to manage what your kids see on the web

We have three kids that are 7 and under who use tablets and computers to access the internet and this device made it very easy to block content and restrict access to what we don't want them to see. It can block the app stores which is nice along with specific types of websites. It has a special filter for You Tube to make it more kid friendly or you can block it altogether. The ability to set limits is also nice and having a pause button allows you to just turn internet access on or off at anytime by group. We have a kids group with all their tablets and the computer they use assigned so we can set more strict filters. Overall we have been very happy with this purchase, did exactly what it said it would do, and setup via the app was pretty straightforward. Managing from the app on our phones is also very nice and convenient.

Circle will catch devices that you can't install a monitor on, eg, Wii, Playstation, Xbox. You can filter/monitor where they go. This device is probably easy to get around, I haven't tried, but I think I could get around it if I wanted. The monitoring is not detailed - it just shows which sites, not which pages, which is why I took stars off it. Configuring was easy - there was no networking knowledge required. Just plug it in and run the app. If you care what your kids look at and they have access to devices, you should do something, and this is a good first step. You will probably want more advanced software to really know what is happening.

My wife and I love how easy the Circle is to use and manage. It was simple to set up, just plug it in, download the phone app, and let circle identify any device that connects to your network. From the phone app you can set up profiles and assign devices to each profile. A flaw of the phone app is if you have too many profiles they get all jumbled up on the home screen and become almost impossible to select. Another huge flaw is how easily it is bypassed. My teenage daughter became frustrated with the Circle and just turned it off, then was able to use the internet with no restriction. Overall it is a great product , it's tough making sure appropriate internet content comes into my home so we appreciate all the help we can get.

I've owned this product for almost two months now and it sure does come in handy. I feel that I'm very electronic savy but as I logged into my router one day to try and do what this product does on my own, I ended up locking everyone off the Wi-Fi and my wife was about to skin my hide! That being said I got everything back on-line and decided to give this Circle a go. Setup was easy and assigning different devices to each family member was very easy. We run a lot of Apple products so the names of our devices were already named when setting up. There will be several items that you only see the IP address and need to know what it is before turning that device on/off. My wife and I really enjoy ours! With 4 kids total, 3 of which are on several types of devices throughout the day, great that we can turn that access to the Internet on/off at the touch of a button. We currently only use the Wi-Fi side of this device so can't speak for our the monthly fee for Data works. I highly recommend this to any type of electronic type of person, even more to someone that doesn't have a clue how any of it even works...lol. Hope this helps just wished I would have held out and got it for the sale price of $80 instead of regular price of $100. But still worth every penny. Thanks.

The best feature by far is the bedtime. No more worry of making sure the kids are off the internet at bedtime! Devices are assigned to individuals and bed times/restrictions set for each person. Turning off the internet is helpful as well for a quick consequence!

In the past we've paid yearly fees for internet filters but no more! The Circle is a one-time purchase and right out of the box you can manage your family's "tech time". It's great because you can set each family member up with their own profile and filters. I would have given 5 stars but there are some learning curves to overcome when trying to get the Bedtime and daily limits working. Setup was simple; Circle identified easily with the home router and captured each device on the network. The recent release of the Android app was a MAJOR plus (we are not an Apple family) and even more recent releases now offer being able to track you family's time even when they are away from the WI-Fi. Can't wait for future enhancements!

The circle worked great at first until my teenager figured out how to bypass all the limits I had set on it. It didn't take him long to do it either. I also paid for the circle go subscription and that was bypassed as well. Some of our devices would act up occasionally and we pinpointed it to the circle. and running constantly on a VPN. It is great if you have smaller children that aren't going to figure out how to bypass limits. Just make sure you google how to prevent them from doing so.

I mainly purchased this to be able to allow/deny web activity on my children's devices. That works as expected, but two areas of disappointment: a) You can only manage your setup through a mobile app. No web interface to set things up on a laptop/desktop computer. To me, that is a big miss, and one that is not difficult to address. b) There is no Windows client, which means that for devices like the Surface Pro 4, which both of my children have, I can't protect them when they're off my home's Wi-Fi network. With as many Windows devices in the market as there are, this is a gap that should be addressed. I'd recommend it, but with a couple big caveats.

I have mixed feelings with this purchase, although it serves its purpose as a high-level parental control device. The app is ok, easy to setup and intuitive. The history (visited and blocked sites) is borderline useless, really. But allows time limits to be setup with ease, some basic reporting and customization on blacklisting websites. At times, it seem to either block too much or too little and although it has device discovery in your local network, I found that sometimes it is hard to identify which device is which and you need to have them properly labeled with an identifiable name in order to assign them to user profiles, etc. Also, every once in awhile I find duplicate detection of devices under different id's which makes it very confusing (i.e: I have an HP laptop that was detected as "Laptop device", "HP laptop device", "HP computer", etc . I had to manually de-dup some of this entries a few times and in a house with dozens of devices like cameras and other IoT ones, several Kindles and Alexas, laptops, desktops, smartTVs, etc, etc, it can quickly turn into a chore when you get devices labeled as 'Generic device'. But all in all it is useful and works if you go through this little annoyances here and there. I don't use the subscription service that covers cell phones out of the wifi network, so a smart teenager will totally figure how to go around the restrictions. I consider a good entry level protection of offensive sites and convenient way to limit screen time and shut down access to multiple devices at once, or for a particular user (kid).

Need I say anymore. The kids hate it and the parents love it. So it is doing what it is supposed to do. A little difficult at first figuring out what device goes to what profile but once that is set up it is awesome. No fighting to ground from the tablet . All I get now is crying when I go to pull out my phone to shut off the internet. Every parent needs this.

After years of frustration trying to limit device time, the Circle with Disney has helped put order to chaos. With two children, different ages, multiple devices, different schedules it was impossible to manage their Internet access in a fair and consistent manner. The only way was to manage things was via our router firewall rules which was like trying to remember/understand Trigonometry just long enough to help with homework. This product is almost perfect for young pre-teen children with wifi only devices. It can limit total Internet time, website/service time (i.e. Disney <= 1 hr./day) and can set usage time windows (6-8 pm M-F for example) The interface is fairly straight forward and they've been adding new features recently. I haven't tried on a teen's iPhone (yet) but to use it with a device outside the house, requires their monthly subscription service. I've recommended this to co-workers, friends and my brother uses it for his children. We are very satisfied!

Got it set up and worked awesome. Kids hated the app and that I could stop them from getting onto certain sites/limit their online time. Had to disconnect it as it wasn't letting me get to certain sites due to the firewall. Learning how to get around that.

While many routers can be set up to disable wifi devices and even schedule time on/off the internet, this is easy to use and very family friendly. You can set up profiles for family members and limit online access as needed. When my wife and I say it's bedtime, if the kids are still watching Netflix a minute later, a simple button press disables that device. On one occasion we were at the store and our teenager called with a bit of an attitude. A button press later her tablet had no internet (this is the short version of the story). Overall, solid product. I have the Circle plugged into the router instead of via wifi, as some users have experienced some slowdown.

I bought the circle Disney first generation for filters to my home router to protect kids from stumbling into inappropriate sites. Happy to know other nice features like : add time slots to each kid based on their age, content filtering, dinner time, bed time etc All of which work great. Wifi signal reception can be improved. I didn’t buy the recent second generation circle as they charge monthly fees for some of these features.
