Excellent watch, does what it is supposed to do without causing other problems. I am having to get used to the apps and how they're utilized. I have to be thankful for all of the you tube videos that are posted. I would like to have a few more options for the face of the watch but overall I am happy with it.

I have an iphone and I can use most functions. Battery life is good can last (2) days depending on apps running or if you take phone calls on it. I use very few apps and don't use the health monitoring features. 4-stars because citizens didn't provide more free watch faces. You have to purchase them from an app store.

Very nice and stylish watch, received many compliments. I don't have anything to compare to, as this is my first electronic watch, but the only thing i see as a weakness is the battery life, it barely last a full day. all other features are great.

Compared against my two-plus year old Samsung Gear S3 Frontier, this watch is kind of a downgrade. I really do not see it as worth the asking price.
Very limited as far as default watch faces available. Very limited as far as navigation options.
I expected more from a known watch brand like Citizen.

Nice watch. Easy to use and manipulate to your own settings. Battery life...well not the best but good. You just have to remember to charge it whenever you get home. Or not wearing it. It's a very fine watch...I must say.

The watch feels like a quality watch with different faces you can change depending on what youre wearing. I didn’t like the text messages does not have its own icon on the app icons.

First one we got was defective as it wouldn't charge or turn on. So far the replacement appears to work fine, my husband hasn't complained yet so it's all good right now.

I bought this watch for my husband as a Christmas gift and he loved it. He wanted an alternative to Apple since we are Android users. It is nice and heavy and looks great too. The black color is neutral and looks great with everything.

A good, attractive smart watch

First impression:
My first impression of the Citizen CZ Smartwatch is that it is a very attractive and very well-made watch. I have and use a few different health smartwatches, and each one is different in design and usage. This watch is Citizen’s entry into the smartwatch community and they definitely brought elegance into the arena.
Setup:
The first step is to charge the watch. Mine came with a 93% charge and only took 10 minutes to top off. Next is installing the Google Wear App. The app guides you along with the pairing and configuring of the watch. I found the installation very easy and didn’t experience any trouble.
The charger is a USB, magnetically held, puck-style charger that is shaped the same as the watch. This one is like my other chargers, yet different. It holds onto the watch with magnets like the others, however, unlike my other watch chargers, this one doesn’t need to attach in a certain position. The bottom of the watch has two rings, and the charger will make contact with the rings regardless of the direction of the charger. This is a really nice change from my other watches.
After this, you need to attach the watch band. Mine came with a very nice, attractive metal band. It is a large band and has some adjustments to it. For my wrist, it was too big, so I had to take it to a jeweler and have 2 links removed. After that, it has a good fit.
App:
The watch uses the Google Wear OS app. This app is used to configure the watch. You can connect the app to your Google account for calendar, contacts, and email use and notification, or you can use it as a stand-alone app. The phone can be completely configured without the app, but the app makes it much easier. The app is a configure-only app and does not provide for real-time use.
Configuration:
This watch has quite a few features and an extensive menu system for configuration and customization. I found some features while configuring other features of the watch.
Citizen has a YouTube playlist on the features of the watch and how to configure and customize these features. It contains 12 videos and carries you through most of the configurations of the watch. If you go through the playlist, you will have everything configured you need for the watch to operate with most features. Following the videos is very easy and they are very clear in how to configure the watch. For some people, that will be all they need for using this watch. I highly recommend the videos to help you get familiar with the watch and to get the base configuration done.
Performance:
The screen is a touch screen. To use the watch, you slide the screen either left, right, or down, depending on what menus you want. The touchscreen is very reactive without being too sensitive. But the biggest plus in my opinion is that the touchscreen is very accurate. For such a small screen, I was able to select each icon without accidentally selecting an adjacent one. This is such a relief as my large cell phone can’t even seem to get that right.
The touchscreen is very bright and very attractive. It has different faces with different themes. You can easily change the face at any time using the watch, and you can configure the colors within each face. The faces have sub displays within them and you can customize what you want in each one. Also, after a preset time, the watch face defaults to a lower resolution dim screen to save battery. I found that to be OK during the day, but still too bright at night. When I moved, if my wrist got too close to my eyes, the light would wake me up. An option is to set the screen to go to black when not active.
You can text and email using just the phone. Also, you can make and receive phone calls. The speaker is remarkably loud and good, and the mic is very clear. I was surprised at the quality of the phone calls using this watch. I am continuing to learn this watch and exploring different apps as I use this watch.
There is one thing about this watch that I found disappointing, and that was battery life. With everything turned on, you get around 7 to 10 hours of use before it needs to be recharged. This is not a lot of time at all. My workdays are 10 – 12 hours long, so if I am lucky, I can use it during the workday, but not the ride to work or the ride home. There is a custom battery power setting. I used the custom settings and turned off all of the features I don’t need. For instance, the watch pairs with my phone via Blue Tooth, so I disabled WiFi. Setting up a custom power profile did not inhibit my use of the features I want to use, and extended battery time to 30 hours, plus or minus an hour.
Conclusion:
This is a beautiful, high-quality smartwatch that has the elegance of Citizen with the use of a digital smartwatch. The smart features are in line with others I have used, and the installable apps make it more powerful than my current daily-wear smartwatch. It wears comfortably, is proportional to my wrist size, and has a nice weight without being too heavy. If the battery life was better, I would rate it a definite 5 out of 5, but with the more limited battery life, I give it a 4 out of 5. That said, I still like and highly recommend this watch.

Great watch, does exactly what it needs to do, my only complaint is that the main button is very easy to hit with my hand and wrist and it is constantly activating the Google Assistant.

Because I own a couple of Citizen watches I decided to give it a chance, I returned, I was expecting more from it, the features are good in the watch but for me, it felt cheap, the band and the case, its the first smartwatch from them so I'm willing to give them a second chance in the future with a newer version. I was expecting more from Citizen but for the price is not that bad
