yes, it's as good as everyone says it is. i loved every minute i had with this game. i laughed, i cried. extremely fun combat, FANTASTIC music, great return to linear levels/a navigable overworld ala pre-FF10 final fantasy games. characters were complex and loveable, environments were beautiful, enemies were interesting. not a super long game, but long enough. incredible metanarrative on what fiction and reality can mean to us. absolute masterpiece.

Absolutely phenomenal game for anyone a fan of the RPG genre. It is turn based which did initially leave me hesitant but it does a great job of mixing in action elements to make it feel very interactive! (Think persona-esque combat?) Definitely the best game I’ve played in the last decade and that’s not being said lightly!

game is amazing get a copy before its all gone, while not a triple aaa game it really is good enough to pass for one, wonderful graphics, great game play might have to get used to it because its a bit different but really good like dark souls parrying with the option to dodge

Extreme Clair Obsur: Expedition 33 is a marvel of a video game. A game-changing, genre-bending masterpiece. It serves as a testament to the passion of what can be accomplished by a talented team, rivaling the efforts of giant monolith publishers that have three times the budget and resources. It converted me into seeking out other turn-based experiences, but this excellent game may have spoiled me.

Finally, a game that isnt for “modern audiences” and actually focuses on fun gameplay, great story and beautiful visuals! I recommend this over every AAA western slop!

This is probably going to win GOTY. However it’s poorly optimized on the PS5. Play on PC or Xbox. Beautiful music, artwork and gameplay.

This game is alternately dark and hunorous, with excellent show-don't-tell storytelling and a slow burning plot that will keep you guessing and wanting for more. The active time element spices up the turn-based combat, which has different mechanics for each of the playable characters without getting too deep in the weeds with submenus. Truly breathtaking environments and a banging soundtrack round out this delightful new variation on a classic style of RPG.

An excellent turn based RPG engrossing story. Excellent visuals about 40 hours to finish the main campaign. I love the characters and very surprised this game game came out of nowhere for me

Truly my game of the year, and top 5 games of all time, the game is beautiful, mechanics and combat, characters and voice acting, everything about this game is stunning. The music is top tier, really brings out the emotion the game intended. Would recommend to anyone, Ik turn based is looked down on but it’s truly a master piece

Every so often a game comes along that shakes the industry to its core. This is that game. It not only is game of the year it’s game of the decade. From humble beginnings of a team of 33 people to now selling over 5 million copies, Expedition 33 is a quite simply a masterpiece.

There is somewhat of a learning curve to navigate all the new menus and icons, on the plus sides the graphic is beautiful and the combat allows you to block or dodge, a first for a RPG game, I expect to spend many hours of fun exploring and challenging storylines

I’ve never been much of a turned based rpg fan but I have really gotten in to this game. Enjoying the story and combat. Very challenging on normal difficulty. You almost have to die a couple times to get the timing down on your parries and dodges. You can do either or but there’s more reward for parries. The dodge has a bit better timing window if your not a soulslike game player. I’m only about 8-10 hours in. And bravo to the developers on there first game from there studio and to only charge $50 for it after Nintendo and Xbox announce $80 games. I’m looking forward to more from this studio.

This game is amazing... The characters and voice acting are VERY well done. Story is awesome, and the world they built is so unique and weird in a good way. The reactive turn-based recipe they have going on with the gameplay is so fun. The build crafting is great in this too. There are many build paths you can take for each character and it's fun trying to build ability synergies between your team members
