    I purchased these for indoor use in a Hospital to communicate with my co workers in construction. The volume is very low even at its highest setting and the reception is horrible. I don't know if $50 is cheap for a pair of radios but when they are useless to even $5 is too much. Worst of all I went on the 16th day to return them but I couldn't Best Buy has a 14 day policy. Stay away !

    I purchased these because of the Cobra reputation. Unfortunately they severely underperformed. We were unable to communicate between vehicles a half mile apart in plain sight. They are small and difficult for large hands to hold. Programming the features was not user friendly and after a week of trying to make them usable they were returned. Maybe we just got a bad set but I was not willing to try again. Buyer beware...
