I am happy with my Cobra. You do need to study the required reading to understand how to operate it. I like the compact size of it. I prefer not to charge it through my computer. So I had to get an adapter to charge it to plug into an electrical outlet. I think Cobra should supply an adapter to improve it's marketing.

Before I went on my cruise vacation, someone suggested these walkie-talkies. I'm I glad they did. We used them so many times. On the cruise ship (with no cell service) they worked great all over the ship. My wife could be sunning herself by the pool and I'd be on a lower deck or in the cabin and we could communicate instantly and perfectly. They were also useful on Caribbean Islands where I didn't want to pay the huge cellular roaming fees. These things worked great as long as we were two miles or less apart. They also have a really long battery life, we never had to charge them more than once a day. I'm very satisfied.

Perfect for days on the lake when cell reception is limited

We help manage a camp catering to summer camp youth. Our property from corner to corner is roughly 2000 years across. These will reach almost all the way across quite clearly. Have held up in rain and heat. We use 12 radios and have yet to have one break yet.

Did better than expected in Yellowstone National Park!!!

Walkie Talkies have become somewhat obsolete in this day of cell phones, but sometimes you need to get ahold of someone instantly. These make that happen. They work great and have good distance. Plus many extra features.

So far, these radios have met our every expectations. Like most similar devices, don't expect to get the distance quoted by the manufacturer. And, it's necessary to speak slowly and clearly to ensure that you can be understood. Still, not too bad a product.

although we don't use these for long distances - they do seem to work fine and reception is clear -
