      Thank you for your valuable feedback. Weather alerts are turned off by default. To enable them, press the Weather button twice until the Weather Alert icon flashes on the display. You will then see the current setting displayed. Use the Up and Down buttons to change the setting to ON. After that, press and hold the Weather button again to save the setting and return to Standby mode. When turned on, the Weather Alert icon will appear on the display.     The devices are "alright". I needed them to be able to extend within a wooded area spanning 7 miles. These had trouble communicating with each other. Nonetheless, if these were closer, communication was clear.
