It was on sale and thought I would pick it up for some fun. The game is very uninspired and sadly very boring.

Its fun, kinda feels like a good mix of fire emblem and valkyria chronicles. so if youre down with those then you should be down with this. haven't beaten it, but 4 hours in im having a lot of fun. only real gripe would be some of the enemy movement times seem to drag and even though its intended, some of the dialogue is face palm cheezy. 4/5

This game is not very good. It is very slow pace and the story was not that fun.

Not really a fan of the play style of this game. But I give it 4 stars to the visual styling and imagination behind the story. Turn based games are not my favorite and really don't fit the FPS genre in my book. If thats your thing then you might like this game.

Code name S.T.E.A.M has been a great game so far. From the minds of Fire Emblem and Advance Wars come this wacky game. I would also like to mention that the fire emblem amiibo are compatible with this game.

I bought this game after trying out the DEMO on the E-shop. If you liked that, then you will like the full game! The gameplay is like a simplified x-com in my opinion that is much easier. The story is a bit ridiculous, but it can get stupidly silly, but I enjoy that in my games. I'm still playing it in my free time and am eager to complete it!

The gameplay can be slow while waiting for enemy movement but there was an update to fast forward through it.

    Not up to its pedigree

I thought this game would be so much better considering the team behind it. Even with the patch to speed up enemy movement, the game is rather bland and boring for an action-strategy game. Too many blind corners, and no real map function to plan your moves really drag this game down.

On the New 3DS, the biggest flaw is made better: the slow speed between turns.

    Interesting action strategy game

From the makers of Advance Wars and Fire Emblem, Code name STEAM is Nintendo's take on an X COM style game. It's a bit weird and very brutal, but if you stick with it there's some fun to be had.

Bought this so I can use my Fire Emblem amiibos and it was good but I'm not a huge fan of it's gameplay. I like Fire Emblem but this was more like a XCOM game from recent years.

Strategy rpg mixed with a third person shooter

This game is a rpg shooter in the vein of Valkyria Chronicles or XCOM. You take turns when moving and attacking which is governed by how must "steam" you have. Its nothing too complex but its enough to add a little strategy. You don't level up per say but you collect coins on the field to buy new weapons and gear for your teammates. If you like strategy rpg's or want something a little different you might want to give this a try.

Creative Game with a Fun Theme

This game was mostly overlooked because of its turn-based combat, but it is actually a really smart game made by the same team that creates Fire Emblem. I really like the voice acting and the steampunk genre. Glad I got it.
