A good film gets an ok 4K release. I can’t say that you should upgrade if you own the blu ray already but it is worth the purchase if you don’t already own it. One of Tom Cruises better films, but Jamie Fox’s performance really sells the film. Great audio on the 4K but the picture is maybe one step up from the blu ray presentation. I say grab it if you don’t have it and can find it for less than $20

Cruise is wicked as the villain in this sharp Michal Mann Thriller from 2004. This is one of those movies that once it starts moving, it never slows down. The UHD is really good, dark at times, but that is the nature of this film as most of the scenes are dark, nighttime scenes. Worth the upgrade for sure!

I love this movie it's one of the best I have seen in recent years I watched the DVD on release and it's taken me a very long time to get around to buying the blu ray version. This blu ray for me is well worth the upgrade the picture quality is great and the audio is well up there to ! Even if you own the DVD like I do it's worth double dipping. As for the movie itself GREAT is all I'm gonna say fantastic the acting from cruise and fox is brilliant one of the best movies I have seen Tom cruise in and the man as been in a lot of films.

I was waiting for this to finally pop up at a local Best Buy. I found one, but not in a Steelbook Version because they don't make it (that's all right). Thus movie looks, sounds and plays great. If you have never seen it, you should buy it. Both Jamie Fox's and Tom Cruises performances are great.

Another one for the Tom Cruise 4K library! A good action movie on its own, starring some good actors. We get the nice package, 4K, Blu-ray, Digital copy, slipcover. Good menus and easy selections.

Collateral is a very interesting movie that require one to sit through and experience. From beginning to end, you feel connected to Max, and you can feel the horror he is going through. I can't spoil the story, but the plot itself is very engaging and takes some very unexpected turns. The match up between the two actors getting in each other's heads is worth checking. If you just want an entertaining movie on a week night, this is worth checking out.

Collateral is an exciting movie with good performances from Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx. Cruise is cool and smart as a hitman utilizing the cab and unassuming nature of Foxx's character to complete a job in one night. It is enjoyable to watch their characters interact in this cool, thrilling action movie.

MM other classic like heat, public enemy, Ali etc, are great in their own right and so is collateral. Seeing Tom play the bad guy was unheard of and he plays the role like he was born to it .

Second to Heat (starring Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro),Micheal Mann does it again with a great ensemble cast in COLLATERAL which puts Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise to the test in desolate L.A. as professional driver and professional hitman. You don't want to watch this on TV as it will be edited and you will be surprised at a few great actors popping up

Tom Cruise’s real life persona comes through in this masterpiece playing an intimidating hit man that is trying to convince Jaime Foxx to join him in his master plan to takeover the universe. I laughed... I cried... this film changed my life.

I loved this movie when I first saw it, a few years ago. I love this movie even more now! It is very clear how far ahead these guys were in esthetical terms, i.e., photography, musicalization, framing, etc. Years ahead! The acting is amazing, the story is very good, and how the characters evolve is just off-charts, very well done, patiently.

A terrifically entertaining movie! The Blu-Ray release is decent enough, most (if not all) of the Special Features are brought from the first released DVD years ago. The video is alright considering being shot on old HD, and good audio. I do recommend purchasing this movie on Blu-Ray if you are a fan of Michael Mann, Tom Cruise, Jaimie Fox and Action Movies overall, especially for a more-than reasonable price under $10.

I would have given collateral 4k 5 stars but honestly the 4k remaster did not blow me away picture quality wise. It still looks solid though and in truth a movie with a lot of dark scenes. Other than picture quality this is a great movie, so of you have never seen it now is the time to check it out.

Tom Cruise in an interesting role of a hitman. Good plot lines and dialog. Some violence as anticipated. Overhead scenes remind one of Michael Man movies. Mature audiences.

Not a huge bump from Blu ray, but noticeable. Looks surprisingly like film for something that I’m pretty sure was filmed on digital. The movie itself is great of course, too 3 Cruise performance.

Great movie!! The 4k was okay, it has the same audio as the Blu-Ray version. There was some upgrade in detail, but nothing major. The black levels were cleaned up a bit. So overall a great movie with a good 4k transfer, but I would still recommend it to anyone who loves this movie.

Good representation of this movie. Going from blu-ray to 4k is a slight improvement, visually. The blacks are much deeper with with the HDR and Dolby Vision. The Dobly Atmos really brings out the sound to where it should be IMO.

Fantastic movie with a solid video transfer that adds more defined grain structure. Audio isn’t any different than the Blu, still a bombastic mix. Overall a worthy pickup if you’re looking for a solid Foxx/Cruise headliner by the master known as Michael Mann. 4K worthy of the upgrade.
