This album is an amazing jump from their traditional technical death metal style to a more progressive rock/metal style. This album definitely deserves the title of "rock opera." Between the Buried and Me have certainly out done themselves on this record. I recommend this to everyone who is a progressive metal/rock fan.

With this most recent release from Between the Buried and Me, I had high hopes for it to be awesome and it most definitely delivered. After Parallax II, I was excited for new stuff to be just as amazing. Coma Ecliptic picks up exactly where I expected it to. A tad more experimental than Parallax as far as soundscapes and layout is concerned, but it is presented in a perfect way. There are moments within this album that almost bring about a meditative state, while others seek to almost ignite the air around you. Overall, this album delivered more than I'd hoped and I am glad to have added it to my ever growing aural library.

I think there's a misconception about the band's sound that they're a death metal band. They've always been avant-garde, mixing different sounds: thrash, grindcore, death metal, alternative, hardcore, and progressive metal. Coma Ecliptic has a more rock-opera sound, but nothing cheesy. It's beautiful. Plain simple: if you don't like this album, you're not a fan of Between The Buried And Me.

This has been the single best music purchase i have made in the last 5 years or so, this band has been labeled in the past as many things, if you can get past "genre" you will find a masterpiece. Great stories to be told on all instruments as well as vocals. I bought this on release day, one month later it is still in my CD player. 10/10 would buy again

BTBAM have done it again... mixing killer vocals with aome of the best guitar work I have ever heard. The flow of Coma Ecliptic is one to be admired, the album plays like 1 stream of consciousness. I dont know what else to say, these guys are the real deal!

This album is great! You can really tell that the members of BTBAM have really progressed in their craft, and as a band. The grooves here, along with the overall feeling of the album give an awesome experience of sound.

I was not familiar with this band but listened to it on recommendation from friend. I have found this CD to be very progressive with both melodic and harsh vocals. Great release for 2015.

No surprise coming from BTBAM, Coma Ecliptic is a stellar release. A more progressive styling than albums of the past, it is easily the most listenable effort in BTBAMs catalog.

The album is one of the best so far from Between the Buried and Me. Its up there with Colors. The album also shows the artistic progression of the band. Highly recommended

Not much else to say, Between the Buried and Me is one of the best bands out there these days, and they consistently release great music. Also put on a great live show!

This album is solid all the way through.. If you love prog rock/metal, this is an essential album! Get yourself a copy and enjoy! BTBAM never disappoint....
