With cold winter I was wanting a remote start for my truck and came across this one on Best Buy’s website. And since I bought it from them. They installed it. Now it’s been over 6 months of use since I bought it and it works great. Right now I just have the key remote to start it within 300 or ft or meters. Working in a building sometimes it wouldn’t start where I was at. But it’s a two way remote. So it will let you know if it started. I plan to add the gps later that I can start it with my smart phone from anywhere. Just right now the 300 or so ft is good enough for me. But I would recommend this to anyone. I haven’t had any problems with it.

My Chevy spark had nothing automatic except the windows. I purchased the remote start and had the installation department also install auto door locks. They were absolutely wonderful explaining each step. The remote start installation was free, but the door locks were not included but so worth it. Trust the Geek Squad at the East Brunswick NJ Best Buy! They are awesome!

Had two compustar remote starts installed on two different kias. The first one (2011 sorrento with security update recall performed ) the installation had an issue where the alarm would go off after pressing the start button on the remote. The tech brought the car back in and was able to get that working properly so make sure you try before you take it home. Best buy does a nice job giving you a tour of the system before you go, so just don't let them turn off the system too quickly after the remote start is activated. Let it run for a minute. Make sure it continues to run the to alarm doesn't beep the horn.... One side note on the Kia is is the original remote lock/Unlock fob does not work when the car is started with remote system otherwise ... Works fine if you don't start the car with the remote though. Also the key fob the Kia gives does not remote start the car. If you hold down the unlock button twice like the compustar documentation says it will, that is not correct

I purchased this a few years ago for my car and love it. I decided to order again for a Christmas present for my son.

Well let me start by saying that this is my second remote start from compustar install by Best Buy is super great quality and works extremely good and life in the 7 floors my Rav4 hybrid I parked on the the third floor and from the window of my apartment I point the remote to the garage and start my RAV4 like magic I never have any problems with the remote start. I recommend to everyone this compustar and Best Buy are the wining combination so don’t wait go and get one remote start from Best Buy this is my favorite store great customer service

Bought the Compustar 4509s on sale at $250 with install and associated parts for my Honda CRV Wanted the feedback feature in particular. Had to wait a month for install but that went smoothly.. Got a quick rundown on operating the starter from the installer.. most appreciated.... The starter works so well that the next time I saw it on sale i bought a second one for my wife's CRV.. just waiting for that install appointment.. All in all 5 STARS !!!

The remote start has been super convenient to have in both winter and summer months when having the car already running, or keeping it running helps tremendously. I've had zero issues with the product with daily use, and the experience getting it installed at my local bestbuy was great. They were super friendly, quick and did a great job.

Best investment I have made for my car!! Works perfectly and flawlessly!! Took minimal time to install! Well worth the cost!! I highly recommend it for anyone who wants or needs one in a car that didn’t come equipped with one! My car is a 2005 and I’m so glad I found this!! I love it!!

this is a great remote starter , the only thing I Didn't like was my local BestBuy service they reschedule my appointment three times they are super rude with no patience at all, they tried to tell me this remote wont work in my jeep and tried to install a different remote starter (cheaper-Easier) but once I told them I Have the same remote in the same type of car same year they change their minds like "Uh really ok lets try and see" and voila they finally installed my Remote , so I hope this information will help some people out there

Got a great deal of the day, which included the installation, along with all of the necessary items (T harness, hood switch). When purchased make sure you put your vehicle in, or you will miss out on essential components. Geek Squad did a clean installation as expected, and well within the quoted time. Works great and can use the supplied key fobs (2-way and 1-way) or our OEM remotes to start.

Bestbuy installed this in under 2 hours and it works flawlessly. The range is exceptional. I will never have to worry about getting into a hot or cold car without having to buy a new car. This thing is totally worth it, cannot recommend enough if your vehicle doesnt have remote start.

Excellent remote start system and Best Buy included installation makes it an even better deal. Remote start is a game changer for cold weather, and also good for hot summers. This system is reliable and has good range. When this goes on sale you should pick it up.

Love the new product for my old truck, everyone is always asking me what year my truck is. The OEM remote brings my truck up the new age. Install and explanation of the remote start was explained to me very well. I told my friends and family where to go for easy installation and great prices.

Installed on my 2023 Toyota Tundra Limited so that the truck no longer shuts off when opening the door after remote start. It was a success. However, the installer told me that I can no longer use the remote start on my OEM keyfob and can only use the remote start keyfob for starting the truck. Otherwise my OEM remote may desynchronize. Didn’t want to risk it, so let them program it that way. Otherwise works great if you’re okay giving up your OEM remote start function.

I've never had a remote start sytem so I can't compare it to other systems. I can say the guys who installed it we really nice. Work was done before expected, received text when job was complete. They explained how to use the product. I've used it a few times since, very nice, easy to work. No issues at all so far!! I really like the 2 way system, even when the car is not parked where I can see it, the system sends back a beep when the car is started.
