I had troubles programming it to my car and finding clear information on how to install/program. Make sure you go to the idatalink website they have a ton of how to videos, and **YOU MUST GO THERE TO FLASH THE MODULE** **YOU ALSO NEED THE DATA CABLE FOR A COMPUTER IT DOES NOT COME WITH IT** But for someone who knows the basics to wiring and has never installed a remote start before. I figured this out rather quick, until I didn't know that I need to flash the unit with the programming for my vehicle. It makes since but the instructions don't tell you.

I had this installed in my wife's 2013 VW Beetle, and it has been phenomenal. In theory it is a simple plug and play unit, disconnect a few wires from the car, plug them into this, plug this into the car. In reality, the wires were so difficult to reach in the confines of the beetle that the installer took almost 7 hours to get it right because he could not reach all the connectors easily. By contrast I had a similar product installed in my 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe and it required splicing wires into the car, trying to trace wires to find the correct lines to connect to, an overall has been nothing but trouble. I wish there was a plug and play solution like this for my car, it works so much better.

Was so easy to install that I thought there is no way I did this correctly! It was a very easy plug and play in my 2011 Audi A3. The worst part was having to remove the steering wheel to get the ignition plug out. I paired this with a drone mobile module and absolutely love the pair together. I would buy this 100x over again

These are pricey. But it works great. And the service by the technicans went above and beyond. It took much konger than expected but they talked me theough why and threw in a free $100 addin to make sure it worked properly. Some of the best service I have ever received.

Great system. It works very well with no quirks. I especially love the ability to start the car from a distance far enough that it takes the chill out of the car by the time I reach it.

This product works OUTSTANDING!! It has always been difficult to find a plug and play unit for Volkswagens. I had never heard of Compustar, but after having it installed for a few months, I am happy to say I am a true believer now! Besides for the factory key fob remote start activation, I also picked up some 2 way remotes which work at great distances! 10 stars out of 5 stars!

Williston store installer said this was the one to get for a Audi A3. Works great, much faster to install. With the 2500' remotes, can start the car from inside a building and car parked a long ways from the grounds. Great unit.

Works great. Technician recommended this model for VW Jetta. I didn't have to lose a key during install.

We bought this remote starter for our daughter. She absolutely loves it. It's very easy to use and she feels safer being able to start her car before she gets to it, plus the added bonus of getting into a warm car makes her a happy camper! We did add the extender for a longer range, which she really appreciates.

Good but expensive compared to other brands however this is the only brand for VW’s

Good product comes complete with everything included and uses the factory remote. It DOES disable the proximity sensor once the vehicle is started so you have to unlock the doors with the remote after remotely starting it. Also you have to triple press the lock button with like perfect timing not too fast and not too slow to start it so a little getting used to

I love my car starter and the fact that is made especially for my vehicle and I didn't have to get new keys. It took a while to get an appointment that worked for me but the service was great! The guys were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend

This is an EXCELLENT remote starter product !!! I love it !!! The 2 installers in the install bay were EXCELLENT, FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS !!! The install went GREAT !!! These installers are an asset to Best Buy !!! Keep up the GREAT work !!!

This was a very user friendly install. The direction were simple and it was really easy. Plug and Play kit. Can't go wrong with this. It gives you features that you may not have been able to use on your car from the factory.

Installed on my wife’s ‘13 VW convertible beetle turbo 2-3 seasons ago. Best Buy installed and did great work! Has always started without a problem! Is awesome for New England winters. Would by again and have Best Buy install.

My 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan did not have remote starter. The Tech at Bestbye did the reasearch and found this product for car. It works great.

This is great simple plug-in play and you can use the current remotes the only downfall is the range is really short so I had to spend another $80 how to get a 2500 foot range extension but now it's awesome.

Installed on my 2015 Jetta TDI push button start ; didn’t loose a key. Programmed factory key (3 times lock) to start the engine. Instead by geek squad in about 2 hours. Very pleased with this purchase (400$)
