Clippers: Metal body with plastic upper section. Nicely weighted and the open/close lever has notches so it easily stays at the level you desire. The guides feel very nice and solid, not thin and flimsy, and they make a solid snap when attached. If your hair is thick, the clippers almost feel as if there’s not enough power to cut through the hair at a consistent speed, you have to go slow to allow the clippers to catch up with all the hair to be cut. I feel it should definitely be more powerful, a lot more. I can say the body of the clippers remained fairly cool through the duration of the haircut. Even while leaving the clippers on as I adjusted and changed positions/view, the clippers didn’t get hot. However, after removing the guard, the blade is definitely hot, too hot for any lower tapering/fading until the clippers are turned off for a bit to cool down. Speaking of.....fading BY FAR has been the most difficult for me with these clippers. I’m not sure if it’s a combination of lack of power, not having a 1/2 guard nor a 1-1/2, but it was definitely difficult for me. Mind you, I usually have no problem fading my neck at all. I feel like any fading utilizing these clippers should be left to strictly beards, nothing more. Again, more power needed. Overall: The packaging and overall look and feel of this clippers/trimmer set is pretty nice. I especially love the design of the back blade on the clippers. The colors are subtle and not gaudy, and the overall feel of each unit is very comfortable in my hands. BUT.... if you are someone like me that cuts your own hair on a regular basis, this may not be the set for you. If you have the patience and hair type for these clippers to just glide through, then have at it. I personally find the best results with clippers/trimmers of a barber level. On these clippers it clearly states “for home use only”, and they are not lying. If I were a barber there’s no way I would ever try to service a client with these, we would be there all day and I’m sure the client would feel some discomfort. But, we are talking about personal use. I give this whole set a 2.5-3 out of 5.

I received this item as part of a free sample program first off. I have shaved my hair since I was young and have shaved my hair with several different Brands of Clippers over the years they feel great in the hand all the attachments you’ll ever need and they cut great even thru the thick hair without bogging down or pulling your hairs. Super quite running as well as a quick easy shave has these becoming my go to clippers.

At first glance, I thought it was going to be a low quality clipper set since I received it as part of a free sample program. Right out of the box I liked the weight and grip of the clippers. I also liked the adjustable base guard that’s built in to the razor. I didn’t need all the guards, but did appreciate the cleaning kit and scissors. Overall, good to very good quality clippers.

I received this product as part of a free sample program. I have been cutting my own hair since I was in high school, so far 20 years now. Even though I no longer have all the hair I once had I do have to buzz my head 1-2 times per week to keep myself from the initial stages of looking like George Costanza. The first thing I'll say about this product is for underarm hair trimming. I would rank this part lower compared to my existing trimmer made by Oster due to this trimmer irritating my skin a little bit in the underarm area. That is my only negative. Now for an all over head trim using no guards for the lowest trim level, these actually perform better than my Oster ones. Zero irritation on my scalp or nicking. What I also like is the side piece on most all hair trimmers which adjusts the closeness of the blades actually stays in place on these due to a click mechanism. Sometimes for those that have a more loose or smooth bi-directional adjustment, the length of the adjustment can change without notice if holding the clippers against the head so in that regard, these also win on that front. I would recommend these as a hair trimmer specifically for hair on the scalp.

Pro-tip: these hair clippers are about the price of a standard men's haircut anyways, so EVEN if you only use them once, they kinda already pay for themselves. Win win! Plug this bad boy in and BRRRRT your hair is zip zapped outta there. They call them "MetalCraft" which, yes technically there is metal in the body (the hand grip is metal) but the champagne color part at the top near the blade is still plastic. Which is fine, but come on- if you call it metalcraft I was hoping for like 100% metal body. Oh well, that's just cosmetic. As far as function goes- this thing does the trick! I can't say it was any worse or any better than comparably priced hair trimmers, they all function about the same, but I did like the locking length adjustment lever on the side. That was a nice touch. It comes with some extra items (hair scissors, cleaning brush, blade cover, various shields for hair length, and a little vial of lubricating oil) and all fit neatly in a drawstring bag. I wish it were an actual hard case, but the bag also functions perfectly fine. All in all, a very handy and well designed hair trimmer! *Product received as part of a free sample program

This is an excellent hair clipping set!! It’s s professional grade and not battery operated. It comes with a generous 6ft length cord & you don't have to worry about running low on battery or losing power. The motor is high torque incredibly powerful but quiet. The blades are sharp & easy to clean when finished. I used this clipper on myself and my sons. It does an excellent job of cutting hair precisely. The out come was professional looking for all of them. The unit is ergonomic in the hand. It's very easy to maneuver around the head for precisions trimming. The cutting guards snap in & out with ease. It comes with scissors which are average. It also comes with oil to keep the blades clean and sharp. It comes with a cloth case to put everything in which is a nice add on. The instructions are clear & easy to read. Overall, great quality & performance.

I received this for free from Bzzcampaigns. These clippers work fantastic. They cut hair at multiple lengths and jts really easy to use. It doesnt make alot of noise either.

Received for free as a promotion. I gotta say, fantastic razor. I had a conair years ago but it eventually failed on me. After that I got a wahl and have been happy with it. But this, such a nice shave for even a trimmer. My main favorite thing about this is it’s adjustable head without having to use an attachment, even though they do come with it. And it’s gentle on the skin. Easy to use, easy to clean, and looks sleek doing it. I’ll keep the wahl as a backup or travel razor, but the conair has taken its place to being my favorite to use.

These Conair metalcraft are amazing. Its light on the wrist and cuts perfectly even. A must have!

The Conairman Metalcraft, unlike other clippers, is pretty much a complete package, it comes with 8 comb attachments ranging from 3mm, 1/8" hair length, to 25mm, 1" hair length, which is ideal for me. I can use the largest attachment for the top of my head where my hair is longest requiring very little subsequent scissor cutting. Basically, just my bangs and a little shaping around my ears. It has an adjustable taper lever which I intend to experiment with when I become a bit more comfortable with cutting my own hair. The clipper is easy to hold, and also includes a storage pouch, barber scissors, lubricating oil, cleaning brush, and a blade guard. As mentioned earlier, it's a complete package. The clipper is corded which means STAY AWAY FROM WATER. But it does seem to be more powerful than battery charged clippers. And finally, as an added bonus in part, Conair is an American Company, however the clipper is manufactured in China. (I received this product as part of a free sample program).

Hairclippers are working out great. It’s very easy to use and all you have to do is apply the oil every few months to keep the blades sharp. It cuts hair pretty easily and with this being a corded clipper, you won’t have to worry about having a dead battery while cutting

This is a very good corded clipper that can be used with ease. The clipper is light weight and doesn't get to warm during use. It comes with a host of attachments that are professional grade compared to what I'm use to from other home clipper sets. This is a must buy if you are in the market for a home clipper set. This maching works like magic. Just exactly what I've been looking for. I will definitely recommend this machine to my friends and anyone looking for a nice machine to do haircut, this is the one.

I’m disclosing that I received this product as part of a free sample program, I will make an honest review with pics. This product at first glance and picking it up has a great almost heavy feel to it which let’s me know that it is made of good quality and not cheap plastic, which lets me know it can hold heat. I did wish that the blades were even at the cutting edge that would have given the hair a clean cut and when shaving it could cut close. There is no way to adjust the blades to get that close shave cut or crisp hair cut. the no 2 guard was to long to cut my hair which is course, I had to cut it backwards to get something off that would come off. It felt good and strong in my hands, sounds good not loud, contoured just right. It’s defitnitely not for short course hair but ok if the hair is long and you are trying to shape it.

After a decade or more our original hair cutters went down for the count, this conair system is simple and straightforward, it does an excellent job

It’s surprisingly quiet! I’m a broke college student so I was lucky to get this as review unit, in exchange for this review and quite frankly, I’m not definitely no professional. This was good though, and it came with nice packaging.

This is a great kit comes with everything from guards ,scissors, blade oil, and a cleaner brush. It also has a good weight to it very sturdy feel. Also no pinching at all on the beard area. I was provided this kit as a part of a free sample program.

Parts of my hair grows in different directions sometimes causing an uneven cut, but these clippers gave me the best cut ever. I have a odd shape to my head, these clippers worked around it and gave me the best even cut ever.

The Conair Man is easy to handle and provides a solid close shave. If you have a beard or mustache and try to have a professional look. You can do this without going to the barber.
