good game, not like the old 80's but it still good.

Really think about what you like about Contra and play this game, then pass judgement. There's plenty to like about this game that its visual presence shouldn't deter you. Lots of gameplay variations and difficulty that makes for a great challenge.

Arcade style game. Not the best. Good price. Game is not for children due to language.

It's not like the Arcade version if that what your looking for it's like Doom revised gameplay. Those want just pure shoot'em up then this would be up your alley. As this seems to play in those types of game setups.

This game is just ok. It's not like the original ones on the NES and SNES etc. It's 3D, which is ok. But it's just not the same thrill and excitement of the previous entries. I would say if you can find it cheap, go ahead and grab it but otherwise, skip this entry.

A lot of hate has been thrown this game's way but as a die hard Contra fan it has it all and thensome. Sure it changed formats with leveling up your weapons and such but it increases it's longevity by doing so.

Fun game new way to play contra got it for good price new gameplay

This isn’t the game we deserved as long time contra fans, but it does enough right to warrant a buy for those curious. The first level and remixed alien wars soundtrack had me loving the game, but for some reason the soundtrack changed to basic and forgettable after the first level. Still, I’ve had some fun with the game even though it has many faults.

Grab under 20 if your feeling adventurous, a mediocre action game first and foremost and waste of a prestigious name such as Contra. A few redeeming qualities get quickly outshone by middling level design and atrocious visuals...There are much better titles for your Nintendo Switch.

I got it for my grandson but my son plays it more then his son. It’s a nostalgic game from his childhood and they both love the game. Easy to play and very entertaining.

Good game and still fun, but this not your nes style contra.

A lot of bad reviews for this game but i really liked this contra game. Graphics are o.k. controls take a little while to get used to. Overall a decent game.

Really fun game. The only part you have to get use to is you can only look from above instead of being able to look directly in front of you like Doom.

Got it on sale and for $20 and with my gamers club discount was like $15. It not great on graphics. But i enjoyed the twin stick shooter. I wouldn't pay full price but for 20 its worth it

If you are expecting the original style Contra than you will be disappointed. Tons of move options. Kind of a turn off. Simple is better a lot of times is true. Does have some fun moments but over all this is a forgettable edition to the contra collection.

Just like the old contract games used to playing. Its fun and worth it for a cheap price. I recommend it completely.
