After fits and wobbles in their previous games, the developer hit it out of the park with this game. The world building, game play, characters, presentation - all excellent. Only complaint I have is difficulty in the last ~5% end game. Wish they had optional difficulty settings so I could finish the game. Still a great game worth playing.

Control is a shooter that also gives the player some powers to use against the Hiss, an invading force that has taken over the mysterious Federal Bureau of Control. You are Jessee a young woman searching for her brother and wanting to unravel a mystery that reaches into the deepest parts of that shady organization. Control is probably one of the most visually appealing games of the year. The developer, Remedy, uses white and red hues with geometric shapes and light and shadow in some interesting ways. It's striking. The flaws come from some technical issues. Whenever you unpause the game, it's slow for a second as the game catches up to what you are doing. There is some slowdown and framerate problems when there is a lot of environmental destruction. Overall, Control isn't perfect in any area, but it's good. It should be on your list of games to play, and I wouldn't let it sit in your backlog for too long. Jessee's journey is one worth taking.

Remedy games have always been a bit odd and this one is no different. Crazy story and visuals, there is nothing quite like it. Just play it if you like strange games with stories you have to look beyond the throughline narrative to really understand what is going on.

Control is from the makers of Max Payne and Alan Wake and is an amazing game. Great psychic abilities if you will, (think Jedi powers) great gameplay and a great story combine for an engrossing adventure that is unique and original in many ways.

Great game, metroidvania style, twin peaks level weird and quirky story - felt a little rushed at the end but plenty of end game content to keep playing. Close to a "MUST PLAY" - more of a "great game, won't regret sinking time into it"

This game has all 3 elements of a good game. Gameplay, graphics & story. Rarely do games these days have all 3 but so far i’m really enjoying this game. My opinion, its worth full price but if you catch it on sale even better. Enjoy!

This game was very thorough. I was entrenched in the story and gameplay. I earned a platinum trophy and completed the game. Graphics and storyline were very good. Game was hard but not too hard.

I enjoyed Max Payne 1 and 2, LOVED Alan Wake, and thought Quantum Break was... just alright. I went in to this game hoping for more like Alan Wake and I got that and so much more! The "world" is amazing. It all takes place in one building but that is selling the game short. The story is great, sound is INCREDIBLE (listen with headphones if you can) and the visuals are spectacular. Combat is tight and once you get a few powers things really come together and each encounter is exciting. Only downside is the game stutters sometimes, even on a ps4 pro. Sometimes pretty hard FPS drops happen. I have heard on non-pro or anything less than the xbox one x, it is REALLY rough. Just know what system you have and set expectations for that.

Other reviewers have this game in contention for game of the year and I agree. The developer did a great job capturing the supernatural side of the story. Just the right amount of story and action.

I love this game ! The story , the graphics are gorgeous and the play through is flawless . I am a big bioshock fan and this shared some similar aspects. I highly recommend this game for sure.

I haven't beaten it yet, but this game has a great mood and personality to it. Very dark and mysterious. Gameplay is pretty varied so far and controls are tight. Definitely recommend it!

IGN voted this game of the year and it's well earned. The story mechanics and graphics are amazing. The only minor complaint for me is i wish there was more ! So hopefully we get some DLC.

This game has a great, bizarre story. Great gameplay mechanics. Great graphics. It is very entertaining, challenging, and fun. Definitely one of the top games that were released in 2019.

This game being nominated and winning multiple game of the year awards made me want to play it. Really glad I did, becuase the story was fantastic and the gameplay was really fun.

I highly recommend playing Control to anyone. It is an amazing sci-fi third person action/adventure game. I recently passed the main game. Now I am playing the DLC.

If you’re a Max Payne fan at all you need this game. Serious Twin Peaks vibes going on, great story, great voice acting, fun combat. A really fun game to platinum too. Get it.

This game is excellent! I do not recall hearing much about it, but it is a top tier game. The story and the gameplay are both top notch. Absolute purchase.

Really fantastic concept and execution. Gorgeous style and visuals, with fluid controls. Gameplay loop is wonderful. Play on a PS4 Pro (or Xbox One X) for the best experience!

There isn't a lot to the story, but the visuals and world building make up for it. Game isn't too long, but is just long enough to not feel too short. Very enjoyable overall.
