I have to admit, this game took me a few tries to get into. From the beginning, I wasn't feeling it. But I kept hearing the reviews and recommendations and game of the year awards (although, those mean absolutely nothing nowadays *cough* *cough* Last of Us 2 *cough* *cough*) etc., etc. But once you start unlocking some powers, exploring some of the more weird areas and really get into the plot, it'll hook you. The gameplay itself is amazing once you power up. You have all kinds of cool abilities and great control (batum tsssss). The story is crazy and the graphics and sound are up there with the best. The Ultimate Edition also gives you a PS5 upgrade for free (although you just spent 40 bucks on a game you potentially already owned). On PS5, this game gives you the choice of 30 frames per second with added ray-tracing, ambient occlusion and som other nerdy buzzwords that make it look that much better, or you can go with 60fps for buttery smooth gameplay but without most of the pretty stuff. I personally like the graphics choice, but 60fps still looks very good, even without the ray-tracing (which is a technology that simulates how light bounces and reacts realistically, so usually meaning accurate reflective surfaces). Great game. Must play.

Great trippy game . The gameplay is fast and fun. Visuals are nicer on the ps5 version. Ps4 version slows down when the combat get heavy.

This game's story was right up my alley - very "X-Files"-esque feeling to the whole thing. I have enjoyed previous Remedy output, like "Max Payne", "Alan Wake", and "Quantum Break"; Control is definitely in the vein of the latter two of those. Even better is getting the 2 DLCs with this package. Environments are gorgeous and unique, and gameplay is smooth with many special effects - but I must say I did play on the included free PS5 upgrade version only. I have heard that the performance of the game leaves a lot to be desired on base PS4, so take that into consideration.

An amazing game by an amazing company. Alan Wake had an interesting story, but I wasn't big on the gameplay. Control, however, scratched that itch.

I bought it for the ps5 upgrade and by no means this game looks and plays good on the ps5, the story is very good recommend for anyone that is interested.

Ive heard of this game for a ling time and at the price best buy posted it for ($15) definitely worth every penny.

This game is a lot of fun. You start off fairly confused and your character can’t do much at the start. It felt easy and tame. As you progress not only does the story unfold and get interesting (still confusing and weird at times) but the gameplay is enhanced and becomes far more challenging. The graphics are good but the physics are outstanding.

Awesome action adventure game. Well written and smooth, the game will hold your attention. Remedy tend to make good story heavy games and this one is no different. Alan wake fans will appreciate the cameo as well.

This game is something else. The gameplay is beautiful as well as the graphics. The physics is crazy good, gun play is awesome and an all around exciting game. I love Remedy for Max Payne and this didn't disappoint me. Can't wait to see what they do with the PS5 upgrade. Thank you.

Excellent game with engaging combat and storyline. Truly an underrated gaming experience amongst today's AAA titles. I love that it includes all DLC and add-ons on a single disc, all for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

the product itself is good, but the publisher really shouldnt charge for an upgrade to ps5. (I dont understand why the upgrade to ps5 has to be a choice between playing in fidelity or performance mode - the ps5 cant handle both?) If they hadnt included DLC I would not have purchased this as I bought the original when it came out

Control is one of my favorite games of all time. The story is good and so are the mechanics and gameplay. It even comes with all the DLC on disc so no annoying codes to enter.

This game is better than i expected. Im 8 hours in so far. The story is compelling and im looking forward learning more about the mystery in the story. Game play is easy to pick up. The maps arent super hard to rememeber when you need to backtrack through an area.

Very good game. Map is difficult to follow. Excellent graphics, pretty good story, some game mechanics could be better but at $20 before taxes with dlc included I’m pleased.

The complete package, including all the DLC. I'm happy to support the developer on this one, as a huge Alan Wake fan.
