Took about 30min from power down to power up, so not too complicated. Comes with all the brackets and hardware to fit practically any board and CPU. Included thermal paste, which was nice. I installed this on my Ryzen 5 3600 which had been running at 170° idle and 201°+ under benchmark loads. With this new cooler, I'm seeing 135° idle and 171° under benchmark loads. So a dramatic improvement. Is louder than the stock AMD Stealth cooler, but that goes with the territory for it's cooling capacity. I'm now comfortably able to overclock to my heart's desire. :)

The Ever Reliable 212 Evo

Old reliable. The Evo 212 has been around forever and continues to be the best sub-$30 choice for cooling low- to medium-TDP CPUs. Idle temps on my 5600x are around 40C, maxing out around 80C under load. Can't ask for much more out of a cheap air cooler.

I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and the stock cooling fan just wasn't enough. I would idle at 60°C and get up to 90°C while gaming. Now with the Hyper 212 cooling fan I idle at 40°C and it doesn't go above 70°C while gaming. The install was super easy which is also a plus. Now I can have peace of mind knowing that my pc isn't going to overheat anymore.

I bought this to replace the stock fan that came with the Ryzen 5 5600x. This fan is better than i expected being very quiet and keeps my cpu around 10 degrees cooler then the stock fan.

I have an i7 6700 and already had good airflow in my Fractal Meshify C case (cooler fits easily in this case), but I had a gift card so I thought I'd giver this thing a shot. It's much quieter, especially when the PC turns on, no obnoxious fan spin up noise. The fan clips are a little annoying to use and the instructions leave a little bit to be desired, but overall it's a great value. As of my review, the YouTube channel "Gear Seekers" has both AMD and Intel installation videos.
Temps from Intel's tuning utility during CPU stress test/gaming:
Stock Intel Cooler: 36C min, 73C max, 63C average under load
Hyper 212 Black: 27C min, 51C max, 43C average under load

Works as expected. Keeps a 96 watt CPU cool at 4.8 GHz. Installation was easy. It is too tall for smaller towers. Very quiet and well balanced.

It's a cooler! It is compatible with multiple sockets and even comes with a fan. The cooler also has an additional bracket for more fans to increase air flow. This is the best bang-for-a-buck cooler.

This was a definite upgrade as my stock cooler had push pins that were tearing up my fingers when I would replace the CPU. This one was a great upgrade with a good cooler. I would consider purchasing the RGB option if you ever want to change the look.

This CPU cooling fan does the trick but it was a lot harder to mount to the motherboard than necessary. Also, instructions and supplies were not the best. Outside of that, once you get it on- works like a champ.

My liquid aio 360mm from enermax paired with a delidded 9700k with copper plate and liquid metal were running at max temp at idle. I needed a fix fast and didn't want to spend a lot of money. This cooler for $32 is a steal. I'm running that chip at idle seeing 30-35c with the included thermal paste! In game not getting too hot either. I'm only using the 1 provided fan also. Very satisfied and maintenance free.

This cooler is cheap and effective, and works great if you need to save money somewhere when buying a high end gaming computer. The clips that hold the fan to the radiator can be a bit finicky to deal with, but installation was not that difficult.
