This cooler is an excellent piece of hardware for any build. The only thing you have to be wary about is that this is a pretty big cooler, so make sure you have enough clearance in your tower.

I ordered this same cooler from Newegg, However I found the same cooler at a location close to me for even cheaper, so I decided to buy it at Bestbuy. The installation process was easy, however the included guide was basically useless it's all pictures no description on how or what you're doing, just visual guides, instead I just found a tutorial on YouTube that helped a lot more and was able to install it way easier that way. I installed it on an i5 8600k (LGA 1151) it came with thermal compound as most coolers do, I already had some good thermal compound but I'm sure the included thermal paste would have worked just fine. It performs a lot better than my stock cooler, My stock cooler was far too loud and I think the bearings were going out as it made a mild but audible whining and ticking sound when it reached it's max speeds, with the stock cooler at idle my temps were 55°-65° under load they'd reach as high as 85° with this cooler master cooler the temps were cut in half at idle, now my temps at idle are 25°-30° under load temps are at 55°-65°, all in all I'm really happy with this air cooler the included rgb controller is simple to use although it's kinda basic, but it's nice to have as my motherboard unfortunately does not have an RGB header. The cable that connects the fan to the rgb controller was long enough that I had no issue running it up and behind my back panel and out of sight. The cooler fan itself is super quite. It's a relief compared to my old stock cooler. All in all this is a great cooler, I'll most likely buy this for future builds and replace any included stock heatsinks with this instead. 10/10

Very attractive, easy to install cooling fan, with lots of adaptors for various processors. On my Ryzen 5700x, it's performing much better than a water cooler and it's fairly quiet, and I think the RGB looks great. It only comes with a single fan, but that's working very well for me. I can add a second fan for push+pull, but with that enormous block of metal I would probably be better off cleaning the unit than stacking fans. Despite its size, it fit between ram, GPU, etc, on my ASUS Tuf B550 motherboard and would have fit in any orientation, though just barely in one direction. It's cheap for the quality and a better purchase than a water cooler, and will certainly last longer. BTW it comes with plenty of arctic silver. Enough for four installations. I bought a tube and didn't need it.

This is a piece of art! For the price, it is amazing for superior cooling. My temps went from 60°c idle to 39°c! The RGB lighting has over 1,000,000 colors (I think?) anyways.. It looks super cool, performs great only for 45 bucks.. you CANNOT beat that. Easy installation as well. Here are some pictures from my rig!

I bought this recently to replace an Enermax RGB 320mm Rad cooled AIO with Noctula Redux 17 120mm x 3 Fans setup that was on a Customers PC office build with an i5 11600k CPU. I could have spent the day cleaning the Enermax setup, but this PC was in the hotseat, as it was the primary Manager of a very important business Work PC! The PC worked best with the intake on top to keep the VRM very cool, and also i pushed the airflow out of the Corsair 4000D airflow case in the front, through the 360mm radiator and fans and this worked very well until somebody spilled an entire jumbo sized Soda into the top of it! While happy and proud that the PC not only survived the spill, but still went unnoticed for weeks! I'm the one that noticed it from running HWINFO 64 on the temps as I do on all PC's I build and put into production periodically. I was floored to see the idle CPU temps at 79c and load temps at 100c and throttling! This was all due to dust, since soda is sticky, when it dried the PC gathered WAY more than normal dust, essentially clogging the Radiator! I'm sure I could have spent the extra money and bought another AIO (a different kind), I needed something immediately and a several time user and amazing cooler espyzzzzzzzzz for the money, I saw Best Buy had a few of them and being only an i5 with a slight overclock and undervolt, I had no doubt this 212 could do the job! And it very much so does!! Side notes: - Since I keep all "K" variant production PCs that I build and test to maximum stable overclock and then tone it far down, being Intel's second round of all core CPU's hyperthreaded and the i5 top tier having 12 threads I was confident that this air cooler could handle it, but to be safe I added a pull fan to the push fan pre-installed, and tried it with the stock paste in the package, not saying its garbage, just that using Thermal Grizzly Kryonaout dropped load temps from 78c at 5.35ghz all core, down to 59c, which is 20c, and idle temps hovered around 29c, but I then setup a Turbo OC of 4.9/all core to a 5.2/2 core GHZ and lowered voltages for a very solid stable 24-25c idle and a 54c max load temps! Bottom LIne: Regardless of the size of your RAM modules, how many you use, and im quite certain most 4 dimm slot Motherboards should be able to not have any overlap, but you want your RAM installed first, especially if you are using 4 sticks! (if its tight, then I would wait to install the RAM after to get an accurate paste spread as well as easy access to the super easy to assemble backplate and mounting brackets, which by the way accomodate a very wide range of sockets and platforms! I normally use a minimum of a 240mm aio to cool anything that does not come with a stock cooler, but I have built for customers who opted out for Air and this is the fourth 212 I used and all worked very good! Highly reccomended to anyone who doesnt exceed about 180ish watts on CPU continuously, or turbo loads up to 220w have been seen at under 80C. For the money, you can't beat it! It comes with everything you truly need, but i do like to have better paste, that's just me! Best Buy had this in stock and I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes drove to the office and after cleaning the PC from damage and drying I installed this cooler and was up and back running in less than 12 minuttes considering i forgot how they assemble by memory its been a while, but very simple processs with exceptional results at a very affordable price! (Last Side Note for mainly i9 and top end I7 and AMD equivalnts planning to overclock).. This will work - if you plan to tinker with voltages, and a lot of trial/error with aggrivation mostly, so if that's your goal that is the only time I would not reccomend this cooler, but if not overclocking and using a push-pull 2 fan config will do just fine on any cpu thats not an EPYC or XEON, perfect for unlocked i5 and i7 even 13th gen I was not compensated or in anyway other than one email asking me to please rate a product and I rate them exactly how they work for me, so yes a real person wrote this! Thank You to Best Buy on Harbison Blvd, Columbia, SC!

My friend used to use a stealth low profile cooler and it was absolutely awful and caused overheating multitude of issues, and just overall the quality of the old one was terrible. I ended up purchasing this form since it was so cheap and installed it in his temperature is dropped over 15°C within the first time of turning it on if you are looking for a cheap and easy way to cool your computer this is one of the best plus the color options are quite easy and nice to look at

Fantastic cooler for the price, easy to use and comes with an RGB controller, a mount for a 2nd 120mm fan (I used a standard sized Insignia fan and it worked fine) and a backplate which many coolers don't. I lost my old Intel backplate years ago when I replaced the cooler and I was glad to see this one came with one. My first CPU cooler that didn't come with a CPU was a Hyper 212 years ago and it's still around for a reason...quiet and effective!

Impressed with the range of mounting options and clear instruction. Extra connectors for a second fan on the back. Application 'jig' for evenly applying thermal paste. I'm running a 12 year old motherboard so I don't have onboard aRGB built in. Took me a little cypherin' to figure out how to connect the aRGB to my Razer lighting kit and sync it with the Synapse software - apologies for mentioning a different brand/product but I thought it would be worth confirming the lighting can be configured by that software, not just onboard stuff. Black refers to the color of the plastic, not the lights - because they also make a white version of this kit. I've been using Cooler Master products since I OC'ed my first Celeron 300. I'm still careful with my build budgets but I do like this brand. But this kit is so fully featured it just left an impression on me. If you pay any premium for this verses a budget option, it's worth it unless cost is your very very top decision factor. I guess I also want to enjoy the build, and that's where this kit delivered more than just a fan and lights.

A great choice for a CPU Cooler. I used and older version of this Hyper 212 and it definitely got the job done although it was a bit louder than this newer version. It also didn't have the nice RGB that works well with an Asus X570 Mobo also sold at bestbuy. Was very easy to install and the pins and such are nearly similar to previous versions. Included Instructions were simple and easy to follow. Though it seems a bit large 0ne should have no issue fitting this in a mid tower case unless it is custom or very shallow. It allowed clearance for all RAM slots using RGB Ram which usually is larger than your standard RAM with simple heatsinks. Didn't think the RGB fan would be visible being that it faces toward the front of the computer but it actually is very visible and the RGB lights built in the fan are very bright and noticeable. Considering purchasing again and replacing my current AIO set up. From a cost, ease of install, visual and performance stand point I don't think you'11 find anything better.

Love these things. For the price you cant beat them if you need/want an aftermarket air cooler. The one fan you get with this heatsink works great too! Keeps hot running processors exceptionally cool, all whilst being pretty relatively quiet. Easy to install. It looks great too! Like the older Hyper 212 EVO version, but better! Now its fancier, painted black, AND comes with RGB!(more frames, right?) ;P The RGB connector is of decent quality and not overly complex either. No but really these things are amazing for $45, one of the best CPU air coolers out there if you have the room in your case, as they are quite big. Still easy to install and work around as the fan comes off with ease. The first one I used I put on a older FX-8350 CPU and overclocked it to a crazy 4.9ghz from a stock of 4.2, and it still keeps the CPU cool under gaming load as well, even with just the one fan. I bet if I had a good quality secondary fan on the heatsink, it would keep a hot processor quite cool all day long. I was a liquid cooling man, but I would own this over any 120mm AIO cooler.

Got this when my nzxt kraken m22 started making clicking sounds, and my cpu would reach 100*C. As soon as I replaced it, I immediately saw results and my cpu is running better than ever. It's also pretty quiet and I like the colors. Can't go wrong with the price.

Easy to install, it was a bit too big for my current PC case so I currently have it open but going to buy a new case soon, going to check specs before I do, I love the RGB, wish I could find a matching fan for the back but I put a different one.

The Heatsink/fan combo is great. The LED lighting is a nice extra flare if you enjoy your computers light show. I did have an issue purchasing as we had to lookup if it was compatible with the Socket1200 motherboard I purchased. I was concerned that the box did not say it was compatible with Socket1200 CPU’s. After about 15 minutes of searching the Internet we finally found confirmation the product does support Socket1200. It comes with various mounting brackets so it is compatible with the latest socket form factors. However the instructions did not include what bracket to use with socket1200 CPUs so I had to figure it out on my own. It was not hard as the directions for the Intel CPU did work once I figured out the correct parts. It’s a great product! Workmanship is top notch and it allows my CPU to overclock nearly 1Ghz over the rated speed. It is whisper silent as my case fans are louder. Great choice if you want air cooling and overclocking on the fly.

Was easy to install. Paired with a Ryzen 3600 and MSI B450 Tomahawk. At full load in Prime 95 runs at 70c, compared to the stock coolers 94c or the Wraith Prism which hit 80c. Has an optional bracket setup and cable to add a extra fan, but isnt necessary. One fan was more then enough. The RGB setup is easy to use. You can use the controller, or your motherboard if its RGB capable. Over all just a awesome cooler for the price. It is a large cooler, so you will have to make sure you case will have the clearance room for it between it and the side panel. Its beefy enough that you should be able to cool a 3900X, as that processor uses the Wraith Prism, and the 212 mops the floor with that cooler.

I was able to OC my CPU another 200MHz over the factory fan on my 4790k and retain reasonable temps under 70 deg C under load. The LED is preset so if you want to change the color you have to open the case and cycle the button. Good value for an air cooler. Having multiple base plates made it easy moving to a 12700k, but I still upgraded to Corsair AIO, haven't noticed a difference but also haven't pushed it with either cooler.

I picked this up to replace the noisy Wraith Prizm cooler that came with my Ryzen 3700. (There are apparently two versions of that fan, and mine has the noisy one with fewer blades.) I've used Cooler Master tower coolers before, and I didn't want to go with an AIO. Right brand, good prior experience, good price, looks good in black - I picked it up. It uses its own backplate to fit multiple mainboards. Most cases these days have cutouts behind the mainboard, so swapping the stock backplate and current cooler out should be easy. (If I had to do this in my many-year-old (Intel i7-860) case, I'd have had to remove the mainboard, since it didn't have that cutout.) It only took a few minutes to install. You can, if you want, install a second fan in a push-pull configuration - brackets to assist in mounting to the tower are included. The included fan is RGB (not ARGB,) using a 4 pin 12v header. (This works with my Asus Prime X370 Pro out of the box. If you don't have a four pin header, you'd need a controller - or to replace the fan with compatible ones, which does not appear to be a difficult process.) It has a long ARGB cable, which you'll have to manage the extra length on. Looks? Looks good. Works with my mainboard software. Performance? As expected - very good air cooler. Easy to set up, and it won't break the bank.

Didn’t have high expectations for this peace. It is huge almost hitting the glass on my case but it cools very nicely and with the option to attach another fan on the other side of the heat sync would recommend this if your just starting out. Even tho the lights never match my case it gives it a steam punk like taste that i wasn’t expecting. Also get like I was going to break my board in half putting it on
