Was Impressed, But also a little disappointed. While I had it facing toward the signals that I expected to receive, I was thoroughly Impressed to be receiving signals from another city that I thought that I would have to turn and reprogram to receive. But, I still didn't pick up the one station that we watch the most, had to put my old style antenna back up as well as this one.

Everything about this just feels like a low budget product. Everything is just kind of loose in the box, except for the mounting bracket and pole everything is plastic and the images on the box don’t even fully represent the product. It would be nice if there was an actual picture of what the full install is supposed to look like. But, despite it looking cheap, it is picking up more channels with clarity than an indoor antenna we were using. Assembly is fairly simple, but the angle of the dish just felt wrong as it looks like it is pointing to the sky. But, apparently that is the way it is meant to work. The included coaxial cable was too short for my outdoor installation. Through some trial and error we found some cable wire that was long enough that did work for us. Just make sure you see the red light on the antenna when it is connected to the powered box if you want to try other wires out before installation. As for the power box, the built-in wire is listed as TV2 while the other connections show for TV1 and ANT. But, instead of needing an additional coax cable, TV2 works just fine as the default. The red LED to show that it is powered is a bit bright for something that might be sitting near your TV. When rotating there is a green light on the box to show it is rotating, but unless someone is watching it outside, you have no idea which way it is going. Some TVs have a signal monitor you can watch, others just expect you to be pointed in the right direction. At least with the remote you can stand outside a window and rotate it. It does rotate a full 360 degrees, but if it hits the stop point, it just rotates the other direction regardless of which button you are holding. I was surprised at just how far off from the direction of the tower it still picked up some stations. Having multiple towers within 75 miles of my location is nice to have an antenna that I can rotate and pick up different stations. It is really the limitation of some TV’s that makes it difficult as there is no easy way to ensure you are getting the best signal and you have to go through the scan each time. Regardless of this looking like a cheap foreign made product out of the box, it works really well. I don’t know how often I will be rotating out of position as my most watched channels are all in the same general direction, but it is nice to have that option without having to climb back up there to change it.

I was very anxious to hook this antenna up and see how good that I could get local channels for during storms and I could also knock some costs off of my satellite bill. I had th mount secured and then I went to hook up the coaxial cable to the antenna itself and it kept spinning without tightening. Realizing that something was wrong I stopped and opened the little box that the cable was inside of and there was a thin piece of metal that connected the cable to a small circuit board for the signal I assume. Anyway, I contacted the manufacturer and they had so much red tape to go through that I just chalked it up as a loss. I wish that I could have at least gotten to see how good it worked before it went bad.

Just received the Core Innovations - Outdoor/Attic Antenna and since the weather was nice I decided to give it a try today. The installation is pretty straight forward, with some minor exceptions, like attaching the J-pole to the antenna doesn’t feel right or tight, and there are no details or pictures on how to securely attach it. I first tried installing it in the attic and despite rotating the antenna and re-scanning for channels multiple times, it only found 7 channels and only a few actually worked. I normally get 35-40 channels in my area with a roof mounted antenna. So I moved the antenna to a window facing the direction of most TV stations and re-scanned and got 21 channels, but only about half actually worked and only CBS out of the 5 major local networks. Off to the roof we go...I used the existing coax and attached the J-mount to the existing roof mount and pipe. Re-scanning now found 37 channels, that’s more like it. Unfortunately, reception is still not as good as my existing OTA antenna, ABC and FOX channels come in choppy and freezing frequently. I tried rotating the antenna, though that did not make a difference because all stations I currently get come from the same general direction and I never had to rotate my existing antenna. Unless you have stations in a completely different direction, the remote rotating function, though convenient, may be useless - it is in my case. I was really hoping this worked in the attic, but it didn’t even work well on the roof even though the stations are only about 45 miles away.

Hi SUHD, the number of channels will vary from location to location. Generally, if you live in or near a metropolitan area, you will receive more channels than if you live outside a metropolitan area. Keep in mind that antenna reception may vary based on terrain (including trees, buildings, hills and mountains). The fewer the obstructions, the better your chance of receiving strong digital signals. We suggest you keep your antenna away from sources of interference, including air conditioners, hair dryers, and microwave ovens. Rotate your antenna and re-run a channel scan on your TV. Refer to your TV’s user manual for more information. We’d like to get more information from you and make things right. At your earliest convenience, would you please email us at [email protected] or give us a call at 1-833-909-2673 to discuss. We hope to hear from you soon.

Cord cutters delight = HD/4k OTA, weak build qual

In today’s digital media landscape most consumers either A> Subscribe to costly Cable / Satellite packages, OR B> cut the cord and moved over to streaming platforms We all too often forget that we have free High-Definition Television signals in the air around us. There are many advantages, higher clarity, much greater bandwidth than satellite or cable squashing the signal, real-time viewing, particularly sports or breaking news devoid of the 10-20 seconds or more on satellite, and 30-60 seconds streaming (YMMV), streamers not using costly monthly allocations of download bandwidth, etc. Core Innovations has developed an affordable solution, that checks most boxes, but unfortunately for me has irreconcilable downsides. First it’s mostly all light weight plastic, motorized control does not have memory locks for certain stations, packaging seemed commercial (not uncommon in review samples), and a few other niggles. While this product ultimately does not serve my needs, don’t let that dissuade you. I live approximately 25 miles NW of Atlanta. I was able to channel scan on the television and “find” 38 or most of the market available, once I moved the antenna outdoors, but was unable to find one particularly locations to lock in all the major networks despite close proximity to each other. The motorized control function is squelched by not being able to lock into locations or “tune” to a certain station. The utility would have been greatly enhanced if the control box had some sort of signal strength indicator, or even compass coordinates, instead of blindly searching left and right hoping for clarity. The channels I do receive look fantastic, far far better than DirecTV satellite local HD. The LG OLED C1 primary set quickly scanned and found available channels, however of the half dozen scans conducted, I never found one location that got me all major networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX). Of the38 located in my best positioning were mostly religious, foreign language, oldies, and home shopping channels my family would rarely if ever watch, PBS and locals being the sole exceptions. If you’re a cord cutter looking to downsize mostly bandwidth usage, or Cable / Sat user looking for the highest quality this product will likely work just fine for you. I unfortunately had some challenging installation issues that likely prevented me getting the most from this, namely I’d tried a couple times to route RG-6 Coax cable from the attic down an 18-foot great room wall, unsuccessfully, hoping to compare DirecTV FOX 4k with OTA 4k for the World Series Braves run over the past month, so take my review with a grain of salt. My install is quite temporary, indoors near the television I got very few channels, not recommended. Outdoors that number tripled, however it’s currently routed through a window, and I’m not certain I’m willing to drill though the wall and permanently mount to the deck or side of the house, though it would not look out of place. Tips *have a helper to re-scan channels per rotation *google local OTA channel coordinates for your region *iPhone Compass app to directionally point towards locations Pros + affordable + easy to assemble + thoughtful coax boots + picture clarity better than satellite HD + supports NEXTGEN TV (5 stations in Atlanta) Cons -build quality -outdoor durability -motorized control flimsy -no memory locked locations Conclusion This product will work for many installations, but from my usage, requires outdoor mounting. I was reminded of the many benefits of free OTA HD broadcast (and 4k in NETXGEN TV markets that have adopted the standard, 5 stations here in Atlanta), however I’m remiss to advise against this product, and believe a more durable YAGI “square screen” attic or roof antenna will receiver more stations and not require manual re-positioning based on what channel you wish to watch. Would not recommend to a friend, without reservations.

I guess I'll start at the beginning... When the package arrived, it was shipped in the factory shelf box. By that I mean it was shipped in the same box that you would walk into Best Buy today and buy off the shelf. I would have expected it to be packaged inside a shipping box but it was not. I hope the picture shows the indentation in the top of the box that received damage in shipping. Additionally, the ENTIRE outside edges and corners of the box were all unceremoniously taped with shipping tape. When I say that (and I hope the pictures show it) it looks like some teenager taped the box for some unknown reason, almost as if the box was previously opened and then tape-slapped back together. OK, is any of this a deal-breaker? Well no, but lets where it leads... After many years of experience, I have come to learn that ANYTHING that is labor intensive to install ABSOLUTELY needs to be tested prior to the potential hours of effort in preparation just in case something does not work. I am SO thankful I did that with this because a couple hours of pulling cable, climbing ladders, drilling and resealing holes, I would NOT have been pleased when I figured out this does not work as advertised. To that end, I did test it prior to "install"... Long story short, powered motor did not work. At all. When I first plugged the unit in, I expected to see one of the 3 LEDS on front light up. Nope. Nothing. OK, maybe it's my outlet? Unplugged it and plugged another device into the outlet and the other device worked fine. I tried plugging this device into another outlet and same thing. No lights lit up. OK, maybe the lights are not supposed to light up (although that sounds odd) so I inserted batteries into the remote and again, nothing worked. The advantage of this unit is that you should be able to manipulate it remotely to get as many channels as possible. Nope. Can't do it. It simply does not work. OK, well let's see how it works as a passive antenna? I plugged everything into my TV, ran the channel scan. I got 19 channels but none were in 4K and ALL were slightly grainy. Additionally (no fault of this device) but all the programming was cruddy day-time talk type programming... Think of a talk show that rhymes with "The Few" and that's about all I got. Is 19 channels good, bad or indifferent? I don't know, but not very impressed based on advertised capabilities. Dunno, I mean I guess I MIGHT try to use it in the RV and see if I can maybe get the occasional hockey game or something. Honestly not sure if that would be worth hauling around in the RV and the several minutes of set-up, but that's where we are. No, I would NOT recommend to a friend.

Please note that we value your feedback and opinions, and we will share this with our development team and have it as a possible improvement in our product in the future. Please note having grainy channels, this is often caused by a weak or intermittent signal. Try rotating your antenna to a different location or angle, and re-run a channel scan. If you’re trying to cord cut, you’ll often find that you tend to lose local programming with most streaming only TV options. With the shift from Analog to Digital Television, many are finding the ole’ rabbit ears aren’t as ideal as they used to be. You either get the picture or you don’t, and if you’re using an older analog TV, you’re likely now using an external digital set top box to get your favorite local channels. While there are many antennas available at most retailers, there seem to be fewer options for outdoor use, which often require some adjustments to get the signal right. Core Innovations is out to make this a bit easier, with a rotating outdoor antenna, which can also go up into your attic. In the box, you’ll find the antenna with an attached cable and motor, a “J” metal rod, a base for mounting to most surfaces, various hardware for mounting, the controller box with two outputs, a wireless remote control, and a 25 ft Coaxial Cable to connect to the powered control box, and a power adapter. Once you’ve mounted the antenna in your desired location, you can use the “Rotation” button on the box to adjust the position for the best possible reception from your local broadcaster. The up and down angle is done manually, using a wing nut to adjust the degree of tilt, and will likely not need to be adjusted later during use. Mounting is straightforward, by simply using the twist knobs on the antenna to connect to the J post, and then using two screws with nuts to position the antenna once you’ve mounted the base. I went ahead an installed this in my attic, as it was designed for that purpose, and I didn’t want to have an antenna attached to the exterior of the home. The included cable also has a rubber seal, which can be slid over the cable connection to protect it from the weather, ensuring the cable won’t degrade quickly when exposed to the elements. It’s important to note that you’ll need additional cable, if you’re connecting to two televisions, or your antenna mounting location is higher than a standard 1 story home or further than the 25 feet of cable can reach. In my case, it required the purchase of a 50’ cable to reach the desired location for the controller/amplifier. I use a digital HDHomeRun antenna tuner to provide Television to a variety of devices; therefore, it did not need to be plugged directly into a Television, as the signal is delivered through my home network. The rotation feature works instantaneously when the button is pressed on the box and will rotate in both directions to provide 360 degrees of coverage. I found the reception to be worse than an indoor antenna I was using previously, as I’d lose some channels depending on the adjustment. I just couldn’t find the perfect spot in my attic for all channels. I’m not sure if it has trouble getting signal in my attic, but when used inside my home, the signal wasn’t an issue, but the size of the antenna wasn’t ideal for indoor use. So, if you’re having issues getting a signal in your attic, you may have a much better result mounting this directly to the exterior of your home. The remote allowed for adjustment without needing to be near the antenna, only having to point the IR remote to the controller box to use it. Although the buttons say "switch," they're simply the directional left/right rotation direction. Given the mount location in the attic, I found myself simply hitting the rotate button on the box rather than using the remote to make any adjustments, as the controller was upstairs to minimize a longer cable run. Ultimately, I ended up switching back to my previous antenna, which was was able to achieve a better signal without any adjustments for my area. The controller box also has three indicator lights, with red being power, green indicating the antenna is rotating, and yellow if there is a power supply issue or a problem with the cable. So, who is this antenna for? This would likely work best for those in more rural areas, where reception may not be ideal, requiring adjustment of your current antenna often, or those wanting an outdoor antenna solution. The ease of installation and use would make this ideal for outdoor installation and may need a longer cable if you’re in a larger home, or your TV isn’t located near the exterior wall. Once you’ve found the proper adjustment, you’ll find that HD signals (and even analog) are easily attained, and the wireless remote can make it much easier to adjust the antenna and get most channels in your area. I should note, that you'll likely need to scan for channels after any adjustment, in order to find the station you're looking for. The box also comes with two outputs, to allow for connection to two tuners, as needed. One of the cables is attached to the controller box, making this ready to go upon installation if the mount location and cable is long enough to reach your tuner/TV. Ultimately, I would recommend this antenna, but only if your current indoor antenna needs to be replaced or your want a more permanent outdoor solution

Innovative Kit Setting You Up for Local Channels

I'll kick off my thoughts with it is an okay antenna and minus the tools to screw into your structured the box comes with everything you need. Unfortunately this was a miss for me and I was really loving the idea of having access to more channels in my area. The result was opposite and it can be a little tricky to calibrate the antenna to maximize the channels that are available. I also wasn't fully prepared to have to mount it outside or in the attic so having to run the coax cable to my master bedroom proved to be the biggest let down. Whereas my current over the air antenna mounts is discrete and did not need much of installation. The top three advantages to this antenna is the motorized fuction to face the antenna head in different directions, the ease of set up (minus running the coax cable to your tv), and it's actual look is not an eye sore. For me the disadvantages that you should know are based on your home set up. The antenna will need to be connected to your box which is connected to your tv. The actual red-light and box are not that appealing to the eye and you'll see why in my photo. I ultimately had to run the coax cable through my window in an effort to not drill holes to my home's wall, until I can find the right solution I think I'll keep this in my guest room. I truly wish this was more of a wifi antenna that sent the channels from the antenna to the box. A side note, the quality and picture of the channels coming through were crisp and good. I was able to definitely watch High Definition local channels with ease.

OUTDOOR ANTENNA MORE CHANNELS STRONGER SIGNAL

CORE INNOVATIONS - OUTDOOR/ATTIC ANTENNA - BLACK MODEL:ANT100TCR Best Buy Tech Insider Network OUTDOOR ANTENNA FOUND MORE CHANNELS STRONGER SIGNALS OVERALL Antennas are tricky, especially with High Definition signals which are highly directional, you can’t really just stick and antenna anywhere and expect perfect reception. CORE INNOVATIONS - OUTDOOR/ATTIC ANTENNA ANT100TCR gives you all the tools you need to be successfully capturing free TV from over the air (OTA). One advantage is the ability to rotate the antenna via remote control to better zero in on the optimal position. There are plenty of sites to help you know where to generally aim the antenna. The remote allows you to move the dish a little left or right to find that sweet spot. Often this is a compromise between number of channels and preferred channel signal strength. Most receivers has a signal strength indicator to let you know when you hit the max signal. In my testing, the CORE INNOVATIONS - OUTDOOR/ATTIC ANTENNA ANT100TCR brought in 10% more channels than I was already receiving with my previously installed antenna in roughly the same location. Additionally, the signals were almost all 100% instead of closer to 80% on my old antenna. This means it should also be a little more resilient to bad weather and other issues. PROs - Included Mounting Pole and Brackets - Included COAX cables GENERAL USAGE Even though this has a remote control and you can aim the antenna, you will not really be able to effectively control where you point it after it is set up. It is not designed to sometimes be pointed north, and then sometimes pointed south depending upon what stations you want to bring in. For example, sometimes when you press the right button, the dish moves left and sometimes when you press the left button it moves right. There is no rhyme or reason (pushing 2 short times seems to get it moving in the right direction). Thus, you have to be able to put your eyes on the antenna to make sure it going where you want. Think of the remote as aiding in simplifying initial set up (aiming), and nothing more. This is much better than running up and down a ladder to move the antenna manually. The parts were all loose in the box (bolts rattling around) with no “packaging” to keep things secure. However, for the most part, with antennas, you point them, get them working and then leave them alone. In that context, the CORE INNOVATIONS - OUTDOOR/ATTIC ANTENNA ANT100TCR is perfectly fine and does what it needs to do very well. My previous antenna (about 4 years old) has the identical controller, and identical remote, the only real difference is the physical antenna shape. So for me, this shape (round vs elongated) seems to bring in signals better. I have no reason to think it won’t last for many years to come. RECOMMENDATION The CORE INNOVATIONS - OUTDOOR/ATTIC ANTENNA ANT100TCR has an advantage that everything you need is already included in the kit. Overall, it worked very well and brought in more stations than I was receiving previously.

I live in the first floor but I got like 30 channels from the air. It's very simple to assemble. You need to have it powered on for it to work. I definitely loved the motor and can move it left or right with the included remote to fix the signal. Pointing the antenna to the right location does matter. So far the channels look good clear and no issues, once I aligned it the right way. now I'm going to connect it to the roof and I'm hoping to get a few more channels

Ok first impression of this unit when unboxing is it just feels and looks very cheap. From the remote to the cable box and the antenna it self. But after you get pass that and have it installed. Which was a fairly easy process. It comes everything you will need to mount it. I installed mine in the attic to a 2 by 4. You will need to supply a coax cable from the box to your TV. It comes with one 25' one that I used from the box to the antenna. After I was done installing I just pointed the antenna towards the closet city. And on my first scan I was shocked to see I picked up 65 channels. With my other indoor antenna I only get 40. So I got lucky and didn't need to adjust the antenna. But I did with the supplied remote but never found more then 65 channels at one time. I know this will very for everyone depending on your location. The channels are a good mix of 1080i/720 and 480. Now I could never "cut the cable" but I can see how this would help some do just that. So in the end I do feel it is cheaply made but it works great for me. And after installed I don't use the remote or see the cable box so it's like it's not even there.

It isn't very hard to setup. I purchased this to upgrade an antenna I'd been using for a while. There were several channels just beyond the range I could reach sometimes and hoped that a powered antenna would allow me to watch them. It seems to have a little better reach (but not much). I installed it in my attic and I have a coaxial cable that runs to my tv. It does what i need it to, and I'm happy with my purchase, but it is a bit flimsy, so i would hesitate to mount it exposed outside. It also is only slightly better than much cheaper, static mounted antennas.

Works fine for us. Didn't need the 100 mile range as all of our TV antenna's are within 10-15 miles, but we were having trouble with consistent reception with a fixed antenna. So being able to remotely rotate the antenna in the attic has helped us to get reception tuned in, when for some reason a station is weak or not connecting. The instructions could have been a little better - for example I didn't realize that there was an infrared/electric eye receiver on the little black box, and I was up in the attic trying to get the remote to make the motor turn, which of course didn't work. I thought it was broken, until I figured it out.

Install was easy enough but the rotate doesn't work, all the time. Reception is good. Wished I would have paid more attention to the packaging, feel like it had been opened prior to me purchasing, not packed for stability.

Reception was poor. I received better with my previous antenna, which was mounted in the same spot on the roof.

The product works but fails to hit the 100 mile range, if anything it hits maybe 30 miles, it picked up 4 channles at deck level then 11 while 10 feet higher then my house and ecen then 6 out of the 11 where coming in pixalated, i dont blame it on the company ot the product i balme it on the area where i live becuase there is a duration of land were we live so we sit much lower then most also its we live in a heavely wooded area where the next closest city is roughly 30 mins away. Im sure if this was in a less wooded area or closer to a city it would bring up the local channles we where looking for othewise this one was a no go. Also the instruction where so bad you had a really hard time seting it up to make it stable with the J-pole but once you figured it works out 2 diffrent ways it was eay to put togeather and i also hated the out of the box rust on the inside metal on some of the parts that came from just out of the box thats a also a majior no no in my book!

Hi Jarcothe12, The number of channels will vary from location to location. Generally, if you live in or near a metropolitan area, you will receive more channels than if you live outside a metropolitan area. Keep in mind that antenna reception may vary based on terrain (including trees, buildings, hills, and mountains). The fewer the obstructions, the better your chance of receiving strong digital signals. We’d like to get more information from you and make things right. At your earliest convenience, would you please email us at [email protected] or give us a call at 1-833-909-2673 to discuss. We hope to hear from you soon.
