I know 21 is a lower product than their most recent but I think it's strange that the only way to fix the ridiculously crazy crashing problems when using Pan and Zoom is by making us pay almost $100 for an upgrade! I will NEVER use another Corel product - too many other ones out there that are so much better (including the free ones!)

Complicated. Not for amateur videographers.

Trying to find a video processing software package with basic editing software but without a lot of extra "special effects". This software is complicated, and needs a full hard-copy instruction manual provided for amateur videographers that only want to do basic editing for home videos.

buyer beware

Beware of buying Pinnacle Studio21 if you plan on editing 4k 60frame video. While the software will technically process it, the preview windows during edit mode are very choppy and have severe lag compared to the raw video file. It seems to do ok on video less than 4k, so if that is what you primarily edit, this is great software. If you mainly do 4k, keep looking. While I don't recommend Pinnacle for 4k video, I will say that the Best Buy personnel were very friendly and made the return easy and painless. Thank you Best Buy!

Wasted My Money

The DVD burning section crashes Pinnacle because it has library files that conflict with existing library files on my computer. This means that it does not have effective error trapping routines.
Cyberlink Tech Help only gave a standard form response to my problem that was not at all helpful. Cyberlink Customer Service did not respond to a request for a refund.

Horrible Product

This product has an infinite number of problems, the first being consistent 'crash' issues and freezing. I bought this video editor as a backup editor to Adobe Premiere Elements and it can't even rise up to the level of a backup. Mp4 files that play great in Windows Media Player or the VLC Media Player, fail to play properly in Pinnacle when I import them for editing. Often I get audio only and no video. Successive uninstalling and reinstalling does not help, either. This video editor is not worth the box it comes in.
