Fast DDR5

Not ready for Prime-Time

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DDR5 is the future; unfortunately, so is waiting on BIOS updates to allow you to overclock more than two DDR5 sticks at the same time. I purchased the Corsair 4800MHz pack previously and I was only able to get the computer to POST from BIOS if I removed two sticks out of four. I did some research and found a YouTube explanation by "Jays2Cents" and he specifically addressed this issue. The DDR5 motherboards at this time, cannot Overclock (OC) with four sticks purchased in two packs. Some memory (slower ones), can get the full OC but are limited to a lower clock speed. This means that you are buying very expensive RAM and are only able to use it to its minimum potential. I look forward to when this is more mainstream and the current best all around. However, right now, this is not ready for prime-time.

This review should be for the memory itself. We understand that BIOS support is still being worked on via the motherboard manufacturers as DDR5 is still very new.
