Customers value the RGB lighting, Bluetooth connectivity, and long battery life of the Gaming K57 RGB Bluetooth Keyboard with RGB Back Lighting. Many appreciate the convenient macro keys, comfortable wrist rest, and the keyboard's overall ease of use. The backlighting features also receive positive feedback. However, some users found the customization software less than intuitive.

Finding a reliable wireless kejboards it tough. I tried the "L" brand. Poor connectivity and early fail was its history. I tried this keyboard and was very surprise. Even though it is lighted with dancing leds it last more than a day of my use. I never have had a connection issue. Solid as a rock. About the only problem I have had is the software to adjust the LEDs does not seem to work well. Btw it is suppose to be a gaming keyboard. But it works fine as a normal keyboard. I recommend this unit highly

Beware of the "squishy" keys, otherwise great

## Design
The first thing that surprised me about this keyboard is the fact that it is not a mechanical keyboard; it’s actually a membrane keyboard. Therefore, while the keys have a good, tactile feel to them as you type, you won’t hear that satisfying “click” that would you typically get with mechanical switches.
This makes the keyboard much quieter and would be well suited for the office if you want a keyboard with some LED bling but you don’t want to distract your coworkers. The keys have a bit of a “squishy” feel to them and may not be preference for all gamers.
## Features
Wireless USB: The included USB dongle utilizes Slipstream wireless to greatly reduce latency typically associated with wireless connections. There is a spot on the backside of the keyboard to store the dongle when it is not in use.
Bluetooth: If you’re using the keyboard for non-gaming purposes where latency is not a big deal, the keyboard also has built-in Bluetooth as a second wireless option.
LED Lighting: You can adjust between 10 different lighting patterns by holding down the FN key and pressing a number from 1 to 10 (or type 11 for no lighting). The speed can also be adjusted for many of the patterns by holding down the FN key and pressing the up and down arrows.
- Spiral Rainbow
- Rain
- Rainbow Wave
- Visor
- Type Lighting
- Type Lighting Ripple
- Color Shift
- Color Pulse
- Color Wave

iCue software: Corsair’s configuration software allows you to setup the 6 macro keys located on the left-side of the keyboard, as well as adjust the LED lighting. However, the software is not necessary to utilize the RGB lighting effects or to program macros directly on the keyboard.
Dedicated media buttons: There are buttons for muting, volume up and down, stop, play, skip and rewind. These keys work without the need to install the iCue software; in fact, they even work on my Mac computer.
## Battery Life
When using wireless, you can achieve up to 175 hours of battery life when the lighting is turned off. At its brightest setting, battery life is reduced to a maximum of 8 hours. Keeping the lighting at its dimmest setting can net up to 35 hours of battery life.
The included Micro USB charging cable allows you to use the keyboard as a wired keyboard while it is charging.

Corsair once again made a wonderful, bright RGB and functional gaming keyboard. I have spent the last week with this K57 and found it way more enjoyable than my Razer Cynosa Chroma. The RGBs on here is much brighter as well as the iCUE software being well done and intuitive to get everything working perfectly.
First off this keyboard is the same as last year's model just with Bluetooth and wireless. it maintains the same dimensions as the K57. With this one, you can connect it to an iPad, Android tablet, PS4, Xbox, and more. In Wireless mode there are only 3 zones of RGB colors to work with but at least you can use them. There shouldn't be a problem to use the keyboard on a device these days with 3 ways of connectivity. Wireless USB dongle called "Slipstream", USB wired (Which I use on my gaming PC), and Bluetooth. All modes worked just fine without a problem.
Slipstream would be my next choice after wired but with wired USB you have more options for RGB lighting per key. Can have a very mesmerizing gaze at the LEDs or more holiday themes once you use the iCUE software. There is quick access to 3 levels of brightness at a push of a button on the top of the keyboard; Pushing the button a 4th time turns off the keyboard lighting.
Quiet high profile keys are nice to type on and certainly more enjoyable and the silent then Razer Cynosa lineup for sure but it's still a "Rubber Dome" style keyboard; If that's not your thing I would say look elsewhere. This keyboard is great for those around you sleeping while you are typing away on the keyboard. The full-size keyboard feels nice to type on just in general and using it to type this review. Honestly, this keyboard is wonderful for any gamer looking to spark up the RGB lifestyle. One thing I appreciate on this keyboard is that there are media keys to control music and playback. They don't light up with RGB flare but they are there for quick access if you were heavy into the gaming session and need to turn down or mute the volume.
Battery life is around 35 hours with RGB lights on wireless, but you get an insane 135 hours with the lights off! that is very impressive if you just need a good wireless keyboard. There is a palm rest soft rubber that feels wonderful to type on but can attract fingerprints like crazy. Along with a macro button on the keyboard, there is also a window lock key.
There are many features in Corsair's iCue software but I'll highlight the ones I feel like that is the most important. You can set up macro settings (with 6 Dedicated keys), set up tons of actions for your LED RGB lighting and even combine light actions, and disable window keys so nothing gets int he way with your gaming. I currently have the software setup to change colors with my other Corsair products; Dark Core Corsair RGB mouse and Void Elite Wireless everything just works together in sync with one another. Within the same software for Windows PC, you can check the battery life of the keyboard if you are using the small Slipstream USB dongle.
Overall it's an expensive keyboard at this price but with so many features you getting something that comes together nicely here. iCue does a good job being more stable than anything Razer software ever released. There are some improvements they could make like adding lighting to the media keys. Also, those who don't like the rubber dome switches will look the other way. This is a solid lovely looking RGB keyboard that goes well with my gaming setup and I'm sure you will enjoy this too.

Great option for the novice to intermediate gamer

The Corsair K57 RGB Wireless Keyboard is a great mid-tier gaming keyboard. In the box, you will find the keyboard, a wrist rest, a USB dongle, charging/connection cable, and the manual. The dongle is stored in the keyboard which is nice. If you are planning to use the wired or Bluetooth options, it’s nice to know you can keep this safe for possible future use. To run wirelessly, you will need to fully charge the keyboard to start. It takes about 2 hours to reach that point.
The keyboard has some weight to it, but it’s not as heavy as others that are out there. I have had some low end membrane gaming keyboards that are light and push around the desk easily. I have also used some top end mechanical ones that are quite heavy and don’t move at all. The Corsair K57 RGB Wireless Keyboard sits nicely in the middle. It’s not as heavy, but it doesn’t move about when in use. To help with that, Corsair includes a detachable rubber wrist rest that has rubber feet on it. They say soft rubber, but there’s not much give to it. It does help somewhat, but I prefer something softer and padded.
The appearance of the keyboard is quite nice. This is a full-size keyboard with additional macro keys on the left side and multimedia keys on the top right. These are wonderful additions for any gamer or media enthusiast. The majority of the keys and the membrane all light up. You have the ability to control the color from the keyboard or from the iCue software that you can download. Both are nice options to set your color or pattern preference.
From a function standpoint, the keyboard doesn’t seem to lag while using any of the connection options. I think it’s a perk to have three options to connect in case there are any issues while using one of them. While not completely silent, the keys don’t make much sound as they move effortlessly when pushing on them. I also found that the macro keys are easy to set up and use while gaming. I didn’t experience any lag when using them. Their placement on the far left is new for me so it will take some time to get used to them. I find myself clicking on G6 when I mean to hit the CTRL key. I am sure G5 will be my next nemesis when I am trying to hit the Shift key. I hope that just goes away with time spent using it.
All in all, the Corsair K57 RGB Wireless Keyboard is nice, well-built keyboard that’s great for many levels of users. The color options and patterns along with the general usability make it very desirable. I think the novice to intermediate gamer will find it exceptional, but the most experienced gamers may want a little more in style and options.

My review of the Corsair K 57 Gaming Bluetooth Keyboard with RGB backlighting. At the time of this review, the price of this unit was $79.99 at Best Buy.
As I write this review with the new K57 Wireless Gaming keyboard I like the feel of the unit however, it is a bit on the large end of the scale. The RGB is great and can be adjusted with the iCUE software version 3.22.74 at testing was easy to use and adjust. You can adjust the speed and lighting effects to your desire.
The firmware update is also available to the keyboard itself. There is not much to hate about this keyboard. I tested it for 6 straight hours of use and still, the keyboard didn’t need any charging. It’s a great buy for the price and will make a good impression to all your friends and family. I would highly recommend this unit to all my gaming friends and family.

Responsive/versatile, inconsistent features

The K57 is a decent gaming keyboard that offers versatile connection options, nearly unlimited customized RGB lighting and animation effects (when wired), built-in dedicated macro and recording keys, and responsive, reliable keystrokes. However, some features are inconsistent depending on your connection type and the keyboard’s size and weight aren’t exactly travel friendly.
First off, users should note that this is a membrane keyboard, not a mechanical one. This means you’ll get a bit less auditory feedback (e.g. “clickiness”) and a different physical feel from key strokes, which for me translates to slightly more effort to press the keys hard and far enough to actuate them. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the mushiness of the key-feel, though it is admittedly more tactile than most membrane keyboards, but occasionally, when typing fast, a key won’t register because I didn’t press hard enough (not due to rollover); I found you have to be pretty deliberate in your keystrokes which can lead to typing fatigue and reduced typing speed.
I do like that this keyboard has a number of different ways to connect with your computer: wired, wireless (USB dongle), and Bluetooth pairing (up to 2 devices). On my laptop I have a limited number of USB ports, so it’s convenient to connect via Bluetooth rather than take up a USB port. When charging the battery via the USB cable, you can use the keyboard as a wired keyboard. This method also gives you nearly unlimited customization options for the RGB lighting with the iCue software. In the software, you can adjust the color and animation of individual keys or groups of keys and set multiple animations to loop continuously or be triggered by events like keystrokes or holding down specific keys. However, note that when connected via WiFi or Bluetooth you only have 10 lighting profiles to choose from (“Off” is one of them).
This is the first gaming keyboard that I’ve used that features a set of dedicated custom macro keys. Since it’s also a full-sized keyboard that includes a number pad and dedicated multimedia keys, this means it takes up a bit more real estate space on my desk at 18.75” wide. The macro keys work great for gaming and productivity, as it allows you to record a series of keystrokes, and even mouse movements/clicks when recorded in the iCue software, to perform repetitive actions and key combinations at the press of a button. However, there seems to be a bug where if you’re using the keyboard wired or with the WiFi dongle, the macro status LED doesn’t light up (e.g. won’t blink when recording is started nor illuminate when you enter “special macro mode”). The macro status LED only works as described in the user guide when the keyboard is paired via Bluetooth. Conversely, when connected via Bluetooth, you won’t have access to the keyboard in the iCue software for customizations (e.g. Lighting, assigning macros, polling rate).
Despite its size, the keyboard is “portable” in the sense that it IS wireless, with a built-in 3200 mAh Li-ion battery that can last up to 35 hours when using the LED backlight (but only 8 hours at max brightness) or 175 hours with the LEDs off. What I liked about this keyboard is that the lettering on the keycaps is completely legible with the backlight off, which is not always that case with RGB keyboards. I also appreciated the detachable wrist rest which is nice to use if you have the space to spare.
The K57 keyboard is one of the first models from Corsair to feature their latest “SlipStream” technology, a type of wireless connection that has better reliability, less power consumption, and conflicts less with other wireless devices you may be using at the same time. Your keystrokes are even protected by 128-bit AES encryption to ensure no one can skim your data as it's being transmitted wirelessly. I found the latency to be nearly non-existent and keystroke response to be swift and lag-free when using the wireless USB dongle. This allows you to maneuver the battlefield and switch weapons quickly during gameplay as well as execute key combinations that are precisely timed.
Overall, as a wireless gaming keyboard, I think the K57 has its merits which include the faster, lag-free, and low interference SlipStream technology, the custom built-in macro recording and macro buttons, ample battery life, and cool backlight effects. However, be aware it has inconsistent availability of some features (e.g. light profiles, macro status LED) depending on the connection type you’re using, a somewhat mushy key-feel, and is on the bulky/heavy side for travel.

A decent wireless gaming keyboard with rgb. I found this keyboard to have minamal lag while using it wirelessly for gaming. No missed keystrokes or problems I could find with the functionality of the keyboard. Thks is a standard membrane keyblard, not a mechanical one.
Upon unboxing I fully charged and updated the keyboards firmware via Corsairs Cue software. After 2 hours of charging, the keyboard had a full battery and was ready to go. Setup via Cue software is painless, from adding hotkeys, to setting up your choice of rgb pattern and style.
In my opinion Corsair make a quality lasting product with gamers in mind. Following that my biggest complaint with this keyboard and most Coarsir products, is the use of so much plastic. I own multiple gaming mice, keyboards, and headsets. I find Corsair has the .most products made from plastic than others. If you can overllok that, this is the gaming keyboard for you

Got this on black Friday, not for gaming, but so I can work in the dark. I like that I can color code any letters or whatever I need, but the software/app has basically no instructions. After wasting considerable time fooling around with it to figure out how it works, I was finally able to set it up in a way that will help me work more efficiently in dim or no light.

Although it’s not a mechanical keyboard, when it’s on sale, it’s a good price. Wireless, customizable RGB, and macro keys. It’s a great starter keyboard for a budget, kinda. At this price you have the option to get this being wireless or a wired mechanical keyboard. So when it’s on sale it’s not bad, but for those who what a mechanical they can get that elsewhere around the same normal MSRP. So that’s why I recommend it when it’s on sale. But I prefer wireless so I chose this. Plus I don’t game much so I didn’t necessarily needed mechanical just yet.

I have nothing bad to say about this after using it for a month. The keys are responsive, no lag in connection. It feels and looks solid under your fingers. Absolutely a quality product. Has programmable macro keys on the left side of the keyboard for quick access. Efficient use of energy, it stays charged for quite a while. I bought it as I sit on my couch and my computer is located across the room, and I use my TV as a monitor. The wireless reaches across the living room with a solid connection.

Corsair's wireless technology is very well done. I have noticed that response times are completely on par with my wired Razer Blackwidow. Having wireless, full RGB, volume control, and several macros with this level of performance should cost far more than this keyboard does. If membrane keyboards don't bother you, this one is an absolute steal. Only complaint as a gamer is that the Esc key is right next to the top macro button, and I frequently hit one instead of the other when trying to keep my eyes on the screen.

This keyboard has tight keypresses, a very solid overall feel, and nice rgb backlighting. It also syncs up flawlessly to iCue software, where you can control just about every aspect of the colors.
It also will turn itself off after idle to conserve battery. Lots of hotkeys to customize for those who play video games.
Easy on the fingers too, although the board layout is slightly more cramped that some other similarly priced units.

This keyboard is very simple to setup, especially with iCue software from corsair. If you matching corsair iCue compatible products (mouse, RAM, etc..) the light customization's are pretty simple. In addition, you have to option to wired or wireless (although if you use the RGB, the battery might run down rather quick).

Admittedly, I originally bought this just to make my work shift sitting at a computer a little less boring. I figured the RGB backlight would give me the pop of color my otherwise gray work day needed. But I’be been very surprised that it’s quickly become the best keyboard I’ve owned. Responsive keys, great feedback and sound. Not too loud but give you that solid typing feeling. I’m learning the macro hot keys and I think those will be amazing for my monotonous spreadsheet. No, I don’t game with it because there’s nothing fun about what I do for work. But I imagine if you were a casual PC gamer looking for a new wired keyboard with a good feel and some programmable hot keys, this would do just nicely for a very good budget price. Oh shoot, the boss is coming. Time to test out the hot key for bringing me back to a screen that looks important. Gotta go!
