    Great Keyboard

It's always been a dream of mine to own a Corsair keyboard. I originally came from a Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2, which is a great keyboard as well, but this K70 M.2 is in an arena of its own. I purchased the Cherry MX Speed switch variant and it's absolutely amazing. The 1.2 mm actuation really does make your gaming experience feel more responsive and has legit given me the upper hand in heated situations in games such as Rainbow Six Siege. The build quality is amazing as well. It's a brushed aluminum, but still remains to be pretty lightweight for a gaming keyboard and all the bells and whistles this thing comes with. I also gotta give it to Corsair for really thinking about their audience and including not only a FAIRLY comfortable wrist rest, but textured keycaps for FPS and MMO games. Not to mention great RGB lighting for anyone who's into that, and also dedicated media keys AS WELL as a volume scroll wheel with a mute button right next to it. All together, this keyboard is great. I love it just as much as I did the first day I brought it home. It's an absolute dream. If you find this keyboard on sale, pick it up. You won't regret it. Also a few things to note, why I say the wrist rest if FAIRLY comfortable is because it seems a little short. It's comfortable for me now, but it took a little breaking in and learning where exactly I should place my wrist on it. But that may not be a problem for everyone considering I am 6' 2" and have fairly large sized hands. And keep in mind, because of the Speed switches and that 1.2 mm actuation distance, people are not wrong when saying these keys are sensitive. A slight tap on the wrong key will most likely register. It's something you'll get used to over time, and won't be a problem if you're a very precise typist but should definitely be something to be aware of.

    Amazing keyboard with terrible software

It has constant firmware updates. Countless times I will be in the middle of a PUBG match or something, and lose control of my character. I will run in place in a corner and throw moltov's on myself. This keyboard has completely shut off during gaming also. The other day, I had to use the onscreen keyboard just to be able to login to my PC because this keyboard had an update and stopped working. I update it, and it still doesn't work. No lights or function at all. I restarted my PC, used the onscreen keyboard again to login, and force reinstalled the update again, restarted PC and nothing. Then suddenly after 10 minutes it miraculously started to work. Needless to say, that was the last straw. I've only had this for about 6 months, and yesterday ordered the Logitech Orion keyboard, going to give that a go. This keyboard is completely unreliable. I only gave it 2 stars because the design, and the feel of the switches are divine. But I don't care how pretty you are, if you're unreliable then I can't use your product. Sorry Corsair. And to sell a product this beautiful, this perfect, for SO much money, and to attach it to such terrible software, I tell you what I feel taken advantage of. With a name like Corsair you expect to trust them, and their products, but don't buy this keyboard. I wish I could get my money back, buy its been too long.

Very sorry to hear that, that's definitely not how the keyboard should work at all and that's not how the software should work either. Please reach out so we can help: support.corsair.com CorsairGaming

    Low Profile FTW

Its been years since I last used a mechanical keyboard and when my stock Alienware keyboard began to quit on me I decided to search for a mechanical keyboard. Prior to buying this keyboard I purchased two other mechanical keyboards and I couldn’t stand them. After typing on low profile keyboards for the past 10-20 years I just couldn’t get used to the height of the traditional mechanical keys. But I did like the feel of the mechanical keyboards. So I did a search on google for a low profile mechanical keyboard, and here I am. What made it even easier to buy is that BestBuy was selling the keyboard or $40 off. Feel like I got a steal and a keyboard that will far outlast anything else I’ve owned.

The keyboard has a comfortable and natural feel compared to other keyboard compared to with the higher standoffs. The switch are very smooth and do not seem to have that rubber-bandy or bounce-back feedback that some of the other reds may have. The overall design is very sharp looking. The keyboard itself I would give a excellent rating, the iCUE software is something else to be desired. At times it works well with other iCUE products from Corsair and other times is a hot mess, and it will not function correctly with other iCUE products. When Corsair can get the software working solid it would be a great product and experience for the RGB fans.

    Perfect Keyboard for Writers

While it is true this keyboard is marketed to gamers, I found that as a writer who spends hours typing this Keyboard is exactly what I need. The keyboard allows me to type as fast as I like and for someone who learned to type on a conventional typewriter the key responsiveness is perfect. Having backlit keys is especially useful when one forgets the sun is setting and hasn't turned on any other light due to being engrossed in the latest project. I highly recommend this keyboard, not only for those playing online games, but for writers as well or anyone who must spend lots of time at the keyboard typing.

First off, this isn’t a keyboard that’s going to give you that tactile/clicky sound. It’s got a nice and subtle click that’s not too loud, but loud enough to hear the key press. The keys actuate what feels like almost instantly and I could immediately feel it in game. With that being said the keys are very sensitive, so it will take some getting used to as far as typing. If you’re not a heavy gamer I wouldn’t recommend this keyboard, but if you are I would highly recommend it. The lighting customization options are endless. (Literally) and there’s thousands of premade profiles to find online or you can make your own. A great keyboard for any gamer.

My main purpose for writing this review is that the people who are afraid of this thing being too sensitive are the ones that are not very good typists. If you have been working on computers for a while, or have taken typing classes, this thing is fast and lets me go as fast as I want. It's not too sensitive to type, in fact i like it a lot. Other cool things besides the RGB lights are the textured keys for wasd and the surrounding keys. They are angled which lets you find them easier and keep your fingers at a more comfortable angle. All of that plus it only $99 bucks right now!

I had a previous version of the K70 keyboard. This one seems much louder when typing. I'm not sure why. Otherwise it's a very nice keyboard. The RGB backlit keys look really nice with the black finish of the keyboard. I wish they would put more than one USB port in the back. There ought to be room inside to build in a little USB hub. The shorter activation distance is nice. It takes less effort to type than the Cherry MX Red switches I had previously. I don't know if I can type any faster but it feels like I can. It is easier to accidentally press a key though.

I wanted to really like this keyboard, but I could not get use to the Cherry MX Speed switches. They are very, very light and require almost no force to press down. I noticed that I was having a lot of extra key presses in my typing because of that. Build quality is amazing, it is a heavy keyboard that is built very well. The cable is HUGE, but that is because the keyboard acts as a USB hub as well. RGB is on point and very awesome when you configure it with the software. Before you commit to this board, see if you can try it in store, make sure you are ok with the switches. Other than that, it is highly recommended!

The speed switches are great if you are picking this up for gaming. It’s heavy and won’t move on your table. Has a usb pass through, thick braided cables and pretty quiet for a mechanical keyboard. Has tons of RGBs and easy to setup using corsairs software. I had to return it and picked up the Logitech tenkeyless board instead. The linear romer keys are perfect for gaming and perfect for typing. The K70 was difficult to type on without making lots of misktakes due to the low actuation of the speed switches. TL:DR K70 is a great gaming keyboard but lacks greatness when typing.

I had the Logitech Orion Spark G910. I wanted something smaller, with better keys and also I wanted corsair to link up with all my other Corsair products. This thing is amazing. I love that the keys are all raised and how easy it is to clean the dust out of the keys with a can of air, as the keys are all elevated. It has a nice feel and I do not miss any steps or keystrokes when typing or gaming, it is really nice quality and feels sturdy and looks even better!

The MX Speed feels a bit different than what I'm used to, but I've loved this keyboard once I got used to the feeling of the keys. Volume wheel is fantastic and having physical buttons for controlling music is great as well. The USB passthrough port is convenient for keeping my mouse for getting tangled with anything else. iCue software works well, and being able to store profiles to hardware is nice as well.

This keyboard is quite sensitive, and it took a little while to get used to that. But I wanted a gaming keyboard, and this one has worked great. The keys are comfortably spaced for my very average hand size, so there's no worry about reaching or pressing the wrong key (or two at once). I haven't played around with the RGB yet, but it's totally unobtrusive even when I'm gaming with the lights out.

This keyboard had been working great while looking fantastic. Some have mentioned the fast key action which is true. But with anything tactile I find that I am getting used to the keys. I am also no touch typist so an occasional mistype is not unusual for me. There are many options for key assignment and colors, etc. in the iCUE software. The backlit keys make it easy to find things in any light.

Of course, all gaming keyboards are preferential to the user, but with Cherry MX Speed (or Red in this case), you definitely can't go wrong, especially if you're playing Starcraft, FPS' or anything that would achieve quick registration of the keys. Pros: great for the price; sale or no sale, lightweight, easily cleanable since the base keys are exposed. Cons: none

It is a great quality keyboard, and the science behind it is wonderful. The key engagement is sooner if you slowly press down on the key, that way you can see it register quickly. But in reality if you are playing a game or typing, there is absolutely NO difference in feels compared to the MX Cherry Red. Save your money and just pick out a Cherry Red.

I initially went in to buy a newer version of my Razer keyboard but then I saw this keyboard was on sale and I figured why not. It has the same clicky satisfaction I had come to love about Razer keyboard with a MUCH more comfortable wrist rest. The keys lighting is also much more toned down which allows my son to sleep while I am gaming at night.

This a great, mechanical keyboard for gaming. The led's are a nice touch, but a bit niche. It is on the pricier end of keyboards and is mostly targeting the hardcore gamers willing to spend the $$$ on it. If you want a great gaming keyboard then Corsair is the way to go. Buying this model, however, is like buying the sporty model of a car.

This keyboard is one of the best keyboards I’ve ever owned. Material is solid, keys feel great and the RGB lighting is bright. One of the best things about this keyboard is that you can store profiles on it using the Corsairs software and you can take it anywhere after that and easily switch the profiles without having to download the software again.

I’ve been using this keyboard for gaming in FPS and BR and it’s been a great board. This is my first mechanical keyboard and I absolutely love it. The keys are very responsive and clicky. My old keyboard was the K55 and this was a nice upgrade.
