If you own or are thinking of purchasing the Corsair Dark Core SE wireless mouse, the MM1000 pad would seem to be a must-own accessory. And if you really love the idea of charging your mouse directly on the pad, it really is a great companion. Just be aware of this product's limitations. PROS: - Well-built. The pad is essentially a large plastic square with two braided USB cables attached. It has a substantial weight and feels like it's ready to withstand any abuse that you might throw at it. - The slightly textured hard surface allows for near-frictionless movement of your mouse. - The Qi wireless charging feature works as advertised. Just make sure you have two available USB ports on your computer to provide the pad with the necessary power. Yes, you can charge any Qi-enabled device, such as an iPhone X that I've been testing with. - Includes a wireless charging puck that can be used to charge any non-Qi device. For example, if you want to charge your older iPhone on the MM1000, simply place the puck on the designated area on the pad and plug in the other end of the puck (using the Lightning adapter) to your iPhone. It's a nice option for those with older devices. - A USB 3.0 port is included at the back of the mouse pad, which is nice since you'll have to use up 2 of your computer's USB ports to connect the mouse pad. CONS: - Wireless charging is slow. It takes a couple of hours to fully charge the Dark Core SE. If you're charging a phone, be prepared to wait even longer. It took the pad more than 3 hours to charge my iPhone X from 30% to 100%. - You have to place your mouse or device precisely on the pad's designated wireless charging area. If you're off by even a centimeter or two, it's not going to charge. This also means that you can't use your mouse while it's charging. - While a device is charging, a green light constantly blinks at the front of the mouse pad. If you're charging your phone on the pad while using your computer, it gets annoying pretty quickly. Nothing a little black electrical tape can't fix. - Corsair only offers this mouse pad with one type of surface (the plastic textured surface). If you're a fan of cloth mouse pads, this might not be the mouse pad for you. OVERALL: I was thinking that this mouse pad would be an essential, must-own accessory for the Dark Core SE mouse, but it falls short. Yes, it gets the basics right: it's a nice mouse pad that will be great for gaming and daily use. But if you're simply looking for the ability to charge your mouse wirelessly, you might be better off with a cheap, standard Qi wireless charger. It will essentially do the same thing at a fraction of the cost. But if you're looking for a good mouse pad for your Dark Core mouse and don't mind mediocre wireless charging, the MM1000 is a good option.

Good Mouse Pad, but Probably Just for One Mouse

The MM1000 is a really good mouse pad. It’s really big and coming from no mouse pad at all it instantly improved my mouse experience. There’s also Qi wireless charging built-in. That being said, it’s pretty much made to pair with the Dark Core SE mouse and if you’re not going that route it’s a hard to justify the cost. In the box you get the mouse pad with cable attached and a wireless charging adapter with tips for micro-USB, USB-C, and Lightning connectors. The mouse pad itself is much larger than what I was expecting. The surface area is 350mm wide x 260mm tall, which I believe is considered to be a standard size. Coming from not using a mouse pad at all on a relatively small desk I did end up having to move my keyboard over a bit to accommodate the mouse pad. It’s not a knock against the pad itself and you get a lot of travel for your mouse, but just make sure you have the space for it. There’s a USB 3.0 pass through port that you can use to connect a mouse or wireless dongle. The cable attached to the mouse pad has two USB connectors on the end and they both need to go into USB 3.0 ports. Factoring in the pass through port it does end up being a net loss of 1 USB 3.0 port. The surface has a nice texture to it and mice slide across it very easily. There’s only one LED light and that’s the Qi charging indicator. Speaking of Qi, this mouse pad has wireless charging. It’s not particularly fast and probably only really good for juicing up the Dark Core SE mouse between uses. Corsair does include a little Qi charging pendant in the box that lets you connect it to non-wireless charging phones. I connected it to my Pixel 2 XL and it charged at an okay rate, but not as fast as I’m used to seeing. The wireless charging is only in a specific circle at the top right of the pad as well, so you have to be specific with your placement. Even if you have the Dark Core SE mouse, it’s not charging while you use it, which makes the wireless charging feel a little half-baked here. If you’re getting the Dark Core SE mouse I think the MM1000 is a good item to pair it with, but if you’re not there’s probably better options for mouse pads out there.

I received this mouse pad for free in exchange for an impartial review. However, when I received this mouse initially, it did not work. I was supposed to test this with the Dark Core SE RGB mouse, but after trying the mousepad on two separate computers, I could not get the Qi wireless charging port to work. The USB 3.0 passthrough worked, but the Qi charging did not. So, I had shelved this mousepad while waiting for a replacement which never came. Today, I pulled the mousepad out and, to my surprise, it actually works now. Either way, I'm not sure this mousepad is worth the investment. As a mousepad, it's fine, but there are cheaper options for both mousepads and Qi chargers. There are no RGB lights on the mousepad. You get one passthrough USB 3.0 port and Qi charging (in the upper right corner) in exchange for 2 USB 3.0 ports on the computer. I'm not sure that trade is worth it. Without the mousepad, I would have the wireless dongle plugged into a USB 2.0 port. Now, I've given up two of my USB 3.0 ports for a slow Qi charger? As an accessory to the Dark Core SE mouse, the mousepad works fine enough. The Qi charging is a bit slower than I expected, but it does work. However, you have to leave the mouse on the top right corner in order for it to charge. The Qi charger works with the iPhone 8 without an adapter and on lower models with the included adapter. I was even able to use the micro USB to charge my Logitech Performance MX mouse. The mousepad is sturdy and it grips the desk well. The Qi charging is a cool feature and in theory, does free up some charging cables, but I'm not sure if that was worth the USB 3.0 ports in exchange.

CORSAIR - Gaming Qi Wireless Charging MM1000 Mouse Pad - Black The MM1000 wireless mouse pad is very cool when teamed up with the CORSAIR DARK CORE SE Wireless Gaming Mouse. The combination of both give you a true wireless gaming mouse. Like most gaming mouse pads it is fairly large. On this mouse pad that makes more sense than other gaming mouse pads that seem overly large for no real reason. Most gamers could use much smaller mouse pads but at least this one has a real value for the size. When used with the Corsair Dark Core SE mouse you insert a small wireless charging receiver in the front USB port and dock it to the top right of the mouse pad and the mouse will start charging. The mouse pad has a blue LED that confirms your positioned correctly on the mouse pad and the mouse is charging. You can game with the charging receiver still in the mouse but it will be lighter if you can take it off. The pad itself is built very solid and the surface is very flat and consistent throughout the whole surface. The mouse pad has a very good feel and from my gaming with it feels very accurate to where you completely forget about it. That is how a mouse pad should be. The mouse pad has a braided cable that terminates into two USB male connectors on the computer side. On the mouse pad side there is an open USB port that I have the mouse wireless receiver plugged into. There is a very defined circle where you dock the mouse with the included micro USB wireless charger connected to the mouse. You can leave the wireless charger in the mouse if you want but it will add a bit of weight so I remove it as the mouse is a bit heavy with it installed. I have also found that the micro USB wireless charger fits other wireless mouse and charges them just like the matching Dark Core SE. So the good news is at least in my testing you can use the wireless charging on pretty much any wireless mouse since the actual charger is a small USB receiver. This adds quite a bit more flexibility on what mouse you might want to use with it. I can’t say for sure it will work with all wireless mouse but it worked on the two different brands I did try it with. This is a great feeling mouse pad with a very solid build quality, and adds the additional USB port right next to your mouse for your receiver where it couldn’t be any closer. I do still think it is a little on the large size but its not much different in size than most gaming mouse pads. This is a very nice product and if the wireless mouse receiver will also charge your current mouse it makes it an even better desk companion. I am matched with the Corsair Core SE and together they have become my gaming combination of choice. And it also will charge my phone. That is one less device on my desk. Got to like that.

I really like this mousepad - but my only gripe is that it's a very, very large mousepad. I mean, I appreciate the space when I'm gaming, so I don't have the issue of the laser running off the mousepad anymore - but I went from my old, typical mouse pad to this behemoth. It also takes up 2 USB-3 ports on the back of my rig - one is to supply the power for Qi charging, and the other is used to pass-through the USB port on the top of the mousepad. The mousepad itself also has an LED indicator to let you know when something is charging using Qi charging. It also comes with a Qi puck and adaptor, so I can charge my Apple Pencil, wireless headphones, gaming mouse, you name it. There's a very specific part of the mousepad that you need to use for Qi charging, you can't leave an accessory just anywhere. I had to rearrange my desk to make this thing fit, but I'm glad I did. If you're a gamer who likes having a bigger space to work with, or someone who likes the idea of Qi charging accessories on your mousepad, then you should check this out. I've been using it for about a week now with no issues whatsoever. I ended up getting a small, 4-port USB hub and connected it to the mouse pad to replace the USB space I lost on my rig. Nice thing is that it also powers my Logitech Craft keyboard too, which my old hub wouldn't do, so that's a plus.

I have used Corsair products for more than a decade. They have always been well built and well conceived products. The MM1000 is the first product I have used from Corsair that leaves me scratching my head. It is well built and feels very durable. It uses two USB connections to your PC to enable both power and USB passthrough. It has a smooth, large surface with just a little bit of texture to provide a nice balance of friction and freedom. It also has a rubber backing to prevent it from slipping on your desktop surface. I am using the MM1000 in conjunction with the new Dark Core SE mouse so I can get the full wireless charging effect. The problem is that the wireless charging feature is a bit of a head-scratcher for me. Maybe what I mean to say is 'lost opportunity'. The Qi wireless capability works great... in a single location at the top right corner of the mat. Why is it so limited? Logitech took it to the next level by building a mat with full surface charging capability. Now granted it isn't a Qi standard charger, but it does allow the wireless mouse to always charge. The MM1000 does not offer this capability. Yes, I can throw my iPhone 8 on the Qi hotspot and it charges as expected, but I am not sure that is a worthwhile trade-off to a mat that has total charging coverage. After all, I am buying a mouse pad for my mouse, not my phone. The next quandary for me was that I still needed to plug in the wireless adapter into the USB passthrough on the MM1000. Once again, why? Why aren't Corsair wireless mice automatically supported with a built-in receiver? After all, this mouse pad is nearly the same price as the actual mouse itself. Seems like it should have been a no-brainer. Overall it is a nice mouse pad, but there are some questionable design decisions that make the value proposition tough for me to recommend at its list price. If you can find it on sale and you already have the supported mouse than I would say go for it.

So we have wireless charging mouse pad, YAY. It can charge your mouse and it can charge your wireless phones (Qi compatible) and even phone with no wireless charging can be charged using supplied adapter (lightening, USB-c micro usb). Pretty good and Kudos for not using some propriety charging solution. It does have good heft to it, and it appears it will last. It is big enough (slightly more than Medium). The mouse move freely on this vs a cloth mouse. What is not so good is that it seems the implementation is restricted by Corsair. They could have done more with this thing. The only added feature for asking price is wireless charging and that felt like half baked to me. Especially considering the price for it. For instance the charging area is only a small portion (top right) of this big mouse pad and it is by all standard, very slow. Supplied adapter only outputs 500 ma max. I tested with iPhone8, S6 Edge, and Pixel with supplied adapter. It takes forever for a phone to charge and yes I ensured that they were aligned correctly (The light was blinking 1 not 2). On top of it, there is only one such area. If output from port was an issue they could have added more by having both USB cables as 3.0 (One is 2.0). But they have simply left it out. So you can either charge your mouse or your phone, but not both at the same time. No LEDs: Really Corsair; at this price, for a gadget targeted for gamers; a product which pairs with a RGB Mouse, you decided to not put led here at all? There should have been LEDs, with a switch to turn them off or perhaps an option in software. Heck I would have used an external adapter (not preferable though). But currently there is this plain black plastic (Which looks really good for my office), sitting on my desk where every thing else is colored. I think it could have been a fantastic entry with a perfect product, but hey, may be the next version will have it.

As a Technical Insider Network member, I was given a free unit in exchange for an unbiased review. I honestly had not realized how convenient Qi-based charging technology is until I checked out this pad. With its pass-through USB 3.0 connectivity, the pad will make for a great addition to your desk. Straight out of the box, the pad comes with dual USB cables, Qi dongle for USB-C, Lightning, and USB connectivity to devices that don't include the Qi charging sensor. For me, while all of my USB ports were occupied, I was able to take my USB keyboard and hook it up to the pass-through port on the pad and then plug the pad USB cord into my laptop and was good to go (if you have a device that requires extra power, the Corsair pad has a secondary USB cable to deal with the extra power). If there's a negative about the pad, it's that the Qi charging sensor is located only in one spot -- to the upper-right of the pad's surface area. Having said that, at least the charge point is away from where most of the mouse action will be on the pad. As for the Qi dongle, Corsair doesn't restrict the charging standard to just themselves; plugging the dongle into your device and then moving that dongle over the charging area allows pretty much any device to take advantage of wireless charging. An LED on the pad lights up with an appropriate sequence to let you know if you're charging or not, or when full charging has been achieved. This is a really nice pad with a rugged rubber base to it, so it's quite difficult to move it once it's in place (by design). And if you have a phone like the iPhone X with Qi capability, it's really convenient to be able to simply lay your phone down on the charging area of the pad and charge your phone while using a mouse for other activities.

First off, it's a mouse pad! What is so special about a mouse pad you ask? Well, actually nothing, but this one has a built in Qi Wireless Charging system in the upper right corner so all you have to do is set the mouse a top of the printed circles on the mouse pad and it is charging your wireless mouse ( sold separately). What's even cooler than that? Well if you have, say a Samsung Galaxy phone with the wireless charging abilities or other devices that use the Qi type of charging, then this will charge that device if you place it a top of your mouse pad in the designated area. With it being a larger mouse pad, there is still room to navigate a mouse around without too much interference if you are charging something at the same time you are using the mouse. Can it get better? You bet! I has a small device that looks like a flat candy sucker. plug this device ( comes with mouse pad ) into your phones or chargeable devices with the available adapters and now you can charge that device wirelessly by using the small adapter which will transfer the charge into your devices battery. Having used the Corsair model MM800 mouse pad before this one, I have to say I really miss the cool LED lights that were on that model as this model does not have that which I thought to be very odd that they would take that feature away on its latest model. What were they thinking? Boring now without the flashing lights, but love the other features that make up for it.

The Corsair MM1000 Qi Gaming mouse pad is a perfect complement to the wireless rgb mouse. The mouse pad comes with a usb port to plug in the mouse as well as dongles to wirelessly charge a usb-c or apple lightning product. To setup the mouse pad you simply connect it to any usb port on the pc using the cable. Next to the cable is an usb port can can be used to connect any usb peripherals but I found it just easy to connect the mouse dongle. The mouse pad has a hard smooth surface and the mouse seems to just glide on it. The top right corner is where the Qi charging is placed and the are has circles indicating where to place the device for charging. I place my iphone x so its always charged and ready to go. When you place the device there is a light that indicates that it is charging. If you have an other device that does not support Qi charging there are two adapters included along with the charging dongle to connect it and wirelessly charge them- usb c and lightning. After using the mouse and pad together I found it super convenient to have my phone charging while playing the games as well as keeping it handy.

The first thing I noticed when I first took it out of the box it came in, was how BIG the pad was. Took up a lot of space on my PC desk. After a while I realized this charging pad can also be used with a variety of devices that can take advantage of wireless charging. This was confirmed after reading a small pamphlet that I found in the box the device came in. Be sure to study the various adapters so U use the correct one when charging devices. One of them worked well with my new Corsair Dark Core SE gaming mouse. It’s too bad that the product requires two USB ports to work. I did discover a blue USB 3.0 port on the side of the device so I was able to charge my smartphone from it. One thing I noticed is that it took a while to wirelessly charge my Corsair Dark Core SE gaming mouse. So, if U have the space to use this charging pad, I recommend it. But first have a look at the photo I attached. Charging pad is sitting on top of my HP Deskjet 3632 all in one printer.

The new Corsair MM1000 Qi Wireless charging Mouse Pad Is a very nice addition that compliments the Corsair Gaming mouse or any IQ charging mouse. The mouse or QI charging device charges on the pad itself which is a little big but not bad. It measures about 10 X 13 and has a no slip runner pleated bottom and a ruff texture surface. After a day of use just park the mouse and let it charge. An indicator light will flash until it is fully charged. Another neat feature is an included dongle with multiple adapters to charge phones, and other electronic devises with Micro USB or Apple connections also known as QI charging (compatible with all QI charging products). It also comes with a 2-year warranty. I tested the pad with multiple mice both wired and wireless, all had perfect results. Not once did any of the mice loose contact or disappear on me like other mouse pads can do sometimes. (Forcing you to pick up the mouse and reposition it to get working again). I tested the unit hard over 3 days and had no problems what so ever. The Pad itself comes with a pass-through usb, so hooking the mouse up using the wireless adapter is a cinch. The mouse itself will also connect via blue tooth (saving you an extra usb slot to use for other items). The pad has 2 usb cords 1 for the pass through and the other to power the QI charging area. If you are in the market for a multi-use Pad I love this combo and would recommend this to family and friends alike.

I originally got this to suit my Corsair Dark Core wireless charging mouse which I had for about a week before getting this mat. Getting the mat was a great idea as my mouse would sometimes buffer due to how far away the 2.4ghz USB was away from it. So when getting this I plugged the mouses USB into it and now experience no buffering. That's just one good thing that came out of this mat. The wireless charging is so awesome. It seems decent at charging the mouse fast and through toggling the mouse settings I can allow the mouse to always keep its lights on. I haven't experienced my mouse dying yet but that's a good thing. The mat has a really weird texture but I've grown to like it. It gives you a grip on your hand while letting your mouse seemingly float on the pad and quickly move around while still letting you have control while sniping. Finally, a bonus is that the mat comes with this little dongle thing to allow non-chi charging phones to chi charge which is awesome. When you put the mouse on the chi charger it lights up white to indicate it is charging but it can sometimes be tricky to place the mouse on the chi charger but thats my only complaint.

I have the Corsair Dark Core RGB SE mouse and this pad is the perfect companion. The mouse pad has a great texture makes the mouse slide gently which makes gaming very easy and enjoyable. This pad also gives the user the option to charge phones and other devices with the use of an included adaptors. The mouse pad is very easy and quick to setup. Place the pad down on the desk, connect it to your computer and you are all done read to play. The cord length is enough to offer the option for different types of computer setups. The surface area is big enough which also allows you to move the mouse a lot without it going off the edge. The product is well made with a durable plastic surface. The cord is high quality made and has a protective braided outer layer. This is a great mouse pad that will add to your overall gaming experience.

This mouse pad delivers on everything i had expected it to. Its comfortable to the touch and has a super sleek design. The added features are a plus too, the dual USB plug ins specifically. The mouse pad is about twice the size of my typical (non charging) mouse pad and the usb plug is in tucked neatly behind the unit to assure it does not get in the way. It's jet black and does not show finger prints very easily. Another thing i enjoy about the mouse pad is that it has a very tight grip to my desk top. Some mouse pads have become less grippy over time. At first i had thought that it was going to a tad too small, but once it was set on my desk and plugged in it fit perfectly. All in all, very study and responsive on the charging side too. Worth checking out!

While this mouse pad is the perfect companion to a wirelessly charging mouse (like the Corsair Dark Core RGB SE), it would be great for anyone with a QI-capable device. A mouse pad with wireless charging is a great idea, but Corsair have some additional features that make this very cool. They include a USB 3 pass through port on the top of the pad. But, a great addition that some may overlook is the additional wireless charging adapter. You can plug this into your non-wireless charging device and set it on the mousepad. Very cool stuff. Pros: great traction for mouse, wireless charging area, included adapters, USB 3 port pass through Cons: the pad is fairly large, it requires two USB ports (though this is remedied with the inlufed pass through port)

So do you have one of the newer mobile phones that support wireless charging? Or really any modern mobile phone? Well then you get to double dip on this charging MousePad. When we got the box, it was MASSIVE for a "mouse pad"... really worried at first. After getting it out of the box and hooked up, really wasn't so bad. Good surface the Corsair Gaming Mouse to be utilized, AND have your phone charging on the side. Fully support iPhoneX/8 natively, and has adapters to use for iPhone 5,6,7. Should work with Android phones as well, that support wireless charging, or you could use the adapter. This is a great option: Keep the mouse charged over night, without thinking about it. Get your phone up to 100% while you are using the computer/gaming... Win/Win So don't let the size on the shelf scare you away..... As a mouse pad... well it simply does it's job. provides a smooth large surface for the optical mouse to work perfectly on.

This pad has a couple of glaring problems. First, it requires two USB 3.0 ports to operate. It has a pass through port, but if you're using the Dark Core mouse, you'll need this port for the 2.4 GHz wireless receiver (you loose some functionality with that mouse over Bluetooth). The second, and deal-breaker for me is that the Dark Core SE mouse will only charge when placed in the upper right corner of the pad and the PC is on. It won't charge otherwise. So your computer has to be on but you can't use the mouse. This pretty much ruins the convenience of a wireless rechargeable mouse. You might as well use a cheap Qi charger for your Dark Core SE and save your money.

Ok this thing is huge think twice the size of a normal mouse pad so make room. Braided cord with 2 usb 3.0 plugs at the end. It also has a usb 3.0 port on it. The top right corner is your charging area worked flawlessly with my Dark Core SE mouse and also with my Iphone X. My only real complaint is it feels oversized and I wish it was smaller. I don't actually use it as a mouse pad only a charging station. Comes with a circular dongle that plugs into the front of the mouse so it can be charged wirelessly. It also came with a dongle for usb-c and usb-lightning so you could charge a phone or device that was not made for wireless charging. Very cool they included this. Tired of changing batteries, get this and Dark Core SE won't be sorry.

I would recommend this to a friend
