I have heard that mechanical keyboards are loud but this is not loud at all. The feedback from the keys is solid. No real noticeable click but noticable spring back.

Great silent product. My stream no longer hears key clicks which was the main purpose for this purchase .

This keyboard is awesome for those that are annoyed at the loud clicks that mechanical keyboards make but still want the feel. It's very silent, smooth, and the volume control slider at the top right is really nice.

Great gaming keyboard. Love the audio dial to quick lower my volume. I have the original and this newer version and like this one better.

The keyboard keys feel great to use but have a little more noise than I expected. Noise is not bad at all. Have not figured out how to individually change the RGB color on each key using the iCUE software! Using all red right now but wanted to have specific game keys in white.

Smooth super nice key stroke feel for mechanical without the noise. Lights are vibrant and the software is easy to use. Gameplay is very responsive and have had no issues with FPS games. Combat games such as WOT are awesome. All around superb keyboard for the price.

Picked this keyboard up on Black Friday and so far I've been extremely satisfied. Coming from an older K40, as the summary says, it has been a great upgrade. The keys have a nice mechanical feel and the switches have the audible click but it isn't overly noisy compared to other cherry switches. The keyboard is constructed very well and feels very sturdy, if you prefer a heavier keyboard this one will not disappoint. So far this keyboard has been well worth the money, I would feel the same even if I had purchased at full price.

The keyboard itself is fantastic. It uses the Cherry silent switches. While I wouldn't call it quiet, it is not annoyingly loud. For gaming, it is definitely a step-up over my son's previous non-mechanical keyboard. It also works very well for typing - extremely responsive and comfortable. The only downside so far (and the reason for 4 stars) is that Corsair's program for controlling the RGB settings is pretty terrible and non-intuitive.

LEDs are great when gaming in a dark room. I wish you can change the LED color of individual keys such as W, A, S, D.. . However it does come with different colored key caps for WASD and a few others. Excellent response of a mechanical keyboard without the loud "clacking" sound. I know some people like that, personally I don't.

I previously had a Logitech Orion G610 keyboard, but my wife was complaining that it was way too loud. That keyboard uses the cherry mx red switches which can be very clicky. I really liked the board for gaming. After some research I decided to try out this board with the cherry mx silent switches. I must say, the sound difference is amazing. I, and my wife, are very happy with the switch. I am also happy that this ties in to my computer build as I have a lot of other corsair products. The RGB syncs perfectly using the iCUE software.

I debated on this keyboard for a solid four of five months before going into a best buy, asking an associate if I could open the box to test the keys, and then immediately buying it on the spot. Keys/switches The keys are springy, much like MX Brown keys are, but are about the volume of a large membrane board, something like the old lenovo wireless keyboards if anyone remembers those. If you have any experience with the free keyboard from iBuypower it's about the same volume, maybe a little bit quieter. The keys are also very well spaced which is good if you are someone who has larger fingers, or tends to type on the edges of the keys. RGB The RGB lighting has a fully adjustable brightness setting in the iCue software, and of course full customization of colors and themes. Though personally I find anything other than a static color to be distracting the option is definitely there. Fit/finish The rubber wrist guard is comfortable, and almost necessary as the edge without it's quite sharp. The metal finish panel at the top of the keyboard is a very smooth brushed aluminium that feels very high quality. The rubber feet, and the wight of the board keeps everything well in place, even on a smooth desk. Volume rocker is responsive and has a good amount of resistance to it. All in all if you like the feeling of a mechanical keyboard, but MX Blue/Brown/Red switches drive you insane I HIGHLY recommend this board, you will not be disappointed.

This is my 2nd Corsair Strafe with the Cherry MX Reds Silent switches and if they ever stop making this particular keyboard then I do not know what I'd do. This being the second generation of the Strafe it has gotten alot more love from Corsair. The audio wheel is a great option and I'm glad they added it. Having the separate switches for the rgb lights on the top left are better placement and the Windows key to keep stray key presses from opening Windows while you game. Not to mention they still have the textured key caps and puller to use them on the most common keys for gaming. The Corsair logo and badge are a lot better looking too placed at the top middle. I can't say enough good things about the changes Corsair made to this keyboard, the lights are always awesome and not too bright or distracting. As well they are not too dim, just the perfect amount of light here. The ICue software lets you sync to other Corsair rgb products too. So yea, I have not had any negative experience and I really like this Strafe MK.2 even better than the first gen. It's all I ever want to use for gaming or regular computer typing. It's perfect to me.

Following advice as frequently seen in gaming blogs, I decided to add a gaming keyboard to my new PC rig. Choice of a board is not easy to make when the only opportunity to "try" it is in the store-if it is there. Other than that, one has to trust the various blogs and tech sites that are out there. Most of what I read recommended a quality level board as a means of improving game play. The Corsair products seem to lead the pack and offer various factors ( Cherry MX, etc.) that could appeal to a user. I read about the switches and the reasons they are advised. One factor that guided my choice was quiet switching. I prefer the keying to relatively "not clicky"- if possible. First, I got the Speed Switch version as recommended by the salesman and as it was on sale. The switching was not to my preference. I returned it. Did more reading and decided on the Silent Switch design. I also got some silencing gaskets that can be added to keys on any board to decrease the keying sounds. The board was pretty quiet on its own and the gaskets were not that necessary. The board is smooth, nicely responsive and comfortable for my rather large hands. If you can swing one into your budget you likely won't regret getting it. It will last for years and be a faithful friend when it is only you against the machine. Cheers.
