Simple Mouse w/ Great Fit & Great Price

I was drawn to the Corsair Harpoon because of its simplicity, shape and size. Features I like: • Firm, clicky scroll wheel that does NOT have a left & right actuation! • Few buttons & none that fall under your thumb like a sniper button • standard "mouse" shape - Unlike the M65 • Very affordable I don't like larger, crazy, 47 button mice. I also own the Logitech G403 and I like it very much. I use this one in conjunction with my Corsair K55 keyboard at work. (like my periphs to match...) In any case, If you like a smaller mouse that you can palm fairly easily but also "claw" at times, this mouse feels great to me. It has the common DPI button on top. I found the setting I like and disabled the others. It has the page forward and backward buttons onthe left side, near a right handed person's thumb. Other than that, it's got a nice grippy texture on the sides and a sleek matte black finish elsewhere. The Corsair symbol on the hilt can be adjusted through the RGB range in Corsairs ICUE software. Things I don't like: When you lift the mouse, the sensor will still track anything within like 1/8" of the sensor. So if you don't lift it very high or you start to move laterally simultaneously while lifting, it will track in that direction to a certain point. I don't know that it's any different on any other mouse at this price. I know SteelSeries and Razer both advertise that some of their higher end mice have some kind of intelligent "lift off" feature. It's not a big deal. Just takes some adjustment if your previous mouse doesn't do that. The cable is NOT braided. Most of Corsair's budget gear isn't, so atleast it matches the K55 in that respect. Thats all. I love this mouse so far!

Needed a mouse for gaming and 3D modeling, wanted it to look professional, be lightweight, and did not want to spend a lot. This mouse is great on all accounts. Material quality is about what you would expect for the cost. The majority of the plastic seems a little on the brittle side, but has a nice feel in the hand. The rubbery portion near the thumb has a nice, grippy texture to it, and doesn't feel gross if your hand gets a little sweaty like some cheaper products. As I said, it is lightweight which I find to be great for gaming and easier on the wrist after long sessions. The Corsair software is pretty average, but haven't had any problems with DPI or LED color tuning. Lastly, the buttons: the scroll wheel has a great tactile feel with every "bump" (which was a MUST for me for switching weapons accurately in FPSs), and the peripheral buttons feel like those you would find in more expensive products as well. Probably a result of the main body plastic being more on the brittle-feeling side, I found the R/L mouse buttons to be a tad more linear to press than I was expecting (as opposed to a very distinct *CLICK* you'll feel on mouses where the RMB/LMB are two separate pieces of plastic from the body), but it grew on me after one night of use. After a month of use, recommended to a friend new to PC gaming and another that is a veteran, and both love it.

    Great Mouse for Gaming

Was looking to replace a mouse for my gaming setup, since I seem to be fairly heavy-handed with them and grind the pads off the bottoms. I wasn't looking to spend tons of cash, or get a mouse that I had to swap out weights and set up 14 buttons on it - I'm not a twitch gamer. I *almost* missed this mouse due to the way it was stocked on the shelves of my local store (buried in with other brands of gaming mice) and glad I was looking at the shelf as I walked past. It was 1/2 the price of another mouse in the Corsair product line, and is perfect for my needs. Fits my hand, and I like the the wheel notch because I can rest a finger there to keep it on the wheel. I could not care at all about the color/light spot on the mouse, which is covered by my palm anyway when I have my hand on it. Give this model a try - good hand fit for larger hands, works well with the Corsair console, and is very reasonably priced for a "gaming" mouse.

    Fantastic Mouse for the Price

This was my first traditional mouse after years of using a trackball, and I am very happy with the purchase. The mouse is light, the buttons are holding up very well, and the additional programmable keys have been great for gaming. The only downside I can think of is that the software that the mouse is intended to be used with can be a bit daunting at first, though there are plenty of tutorials and guides out there for settings up macros or rebinding custom inputs to the keys on the side of the mouse. Without the software, the side buttons default to forward/back functions, like in an internet browser. Also the corsair logo on the left button is textured so that might occasionally bug you if you're sensitive to that sort of thing. This is a fantastic mouse with just a few frills.

When my old razer mouse had a software malfunction I was not in a position to spend $80 on a replacement. Because of this I decided to buy the Harpoon gaming mouse from Corsair for a cheaper alternative. For 30 bucks I think it is the best bang for your buck mouse out there. Pros - 2 programmable buttons, middle DPI switch, and rgb lighting Cons - The mouse buttons are verry sensitive, almost too sensitive and causes you to click on things when you graze a finger across it. The mouse is also very light so it was hard to get used to after using a high end, razer gaming mouse that had a decent weight to it. Other Thoughts - I would definitely suggest this mouse if you are just getting into PC gaming or if you are in a pinch for money, but if you have the means to do so, go with a higher end mouse because it will most likely last longer and produce better results.

Nice gaming mouse for the cost

This is my 3rd "gaming" mouse and after 3 months of use it has become my favorite. It is accurate and comfortable to use, set up was cake, and it is minimalist in design and features. I bought this having been using a Logitech G602 wireless gaming mouse for a little over a year. I can't tell the difference in accuracy (when the G602 was working properly). The wireless on the Logitech was wonky and would randomly cause the mouse to jump around the screen, which prompted me to buy a new one. My first gaming mouse was a SteelSeries Sensei. Only drawback is a minor one - About once every two weeks the DPI setting (Scroll speed) would drop to the lowest setting. Easy fix, just by clicking the center button the speed would change back to where I want it. I would definitely buy this again.

Don't be deceived by the low price. This mouse has a lot of customizability in the Corsair Utility Engine, downloadable from Corsair's website. DPI can be cycled through with the button on the mouse, and again can be fine tuned in the Corsair software. You can program any button to whatever the user desires. Although the price of the mouse is cheap, the mouse itself uses good materials, like high quality plastics and textured rubber side grip. It's lightweight and comfortable. However, a small design flaw is that when your hand is on the mouse, you can't see the RGB illumination. The mouse is kinda small, so be aware of that. I myself have sizable hands but can comfortably palm the mouse. There is no braided cable, but it isn't a huge deal breaker if you've got a clear desk. Way better than a lot of cheap mice on Amazon for this price, and can even outperform others in a higher price range.

I've been gaming for a long long time and a lot of people obsess about kb/mouse and I suppose that's true but I've been a sniper my hold gaming career and a master at it and I NEVER obsessed with mice and in fact I always had those basic wheel and 2-3 buttons corded logitech mice and I made many rage quit over the years. This is no different and although my middle finger sometimes presses the rt mouse button without much pressure and I did delete an item because of it , I still feel it's a great mouse for my needs. It might be a little too loud on it's clicks since if you have a sub par gaming headset like me everyone can hear the clicks except me HAHA. Other than that it's great mouse and 5 buttons which 3 I don't use HAHA

It is a solid mouse. Essentially plug and play. Been using this one for quite some time and I appreciate the gap where the mouse wheel sits. The wheel has stayed clean for as long as I have owned it, and the buttons have only just started to gloss. This is my daily driver mouse when I am out on the road. The quick change sensitivity button is a nice feature. I sometimes bump, but it is quick to cycle back to my favored sensitivity. It is color coded, so I always know exactly which one I am on.

I was in the market for a new mouse. I had recently upgraded my keyboard to a corsair K55 RGB. One thing I look for in a mouse is that it NOT be wireless. (I realize the Harpoon also comes in a wireless version). This mouse may not have all of the fancy features of the top of the line ones, but has good basic function, smooth operation, and ergonomics. It also happens to match the Corsair keyboards. I have the DPI selector set to green. Overall better than I expected for the money.

The look and feel are great. The buttons feel good and it clicks well after nearly a year of gaming. Seems accurate and the dpi settings are nice. This particular one has had an issue scrolling with the scroll where it begins to jump up and down the webpages drasticly instead of scrolling in a constant direction. It could simply be a defective unit but it is quite annoying when scrolling down to have it jump back to the top. It happens with multiple computers on both Mac and windows so I will have to get it replaced.

If you use a palm grip, this is not the mouse for you. I didn't even get it plugged in (I just assume it works) but it was so uncomfortable to hold I just packed it up and am getting ready to return it. Anytime I moved the mouse to the right, the edge would run over and pinch my pinky skin. I have pretty small hands too, so if your hands are average to large sized, I just can't see how they'll fit on this mouse. I don't even think claw-grip users will have much success here. Fingertip possibly though, as it is a very lightweight mouse.

It is a very nice mouse for PC, but it will not work on PS4. And when I say it will not work, it won’t even move the pointer. I am not even talking enabling extra buttons. Clearly this is not Corsair fault, but rather Sony’s... no way to load drivers and not that they exist in the first place... You would expect the sellers though clearly identify that on their website... and make s note that this product does not work with proprietary non windows platforms such as Sony, etc ...

I bought this mouse because I had a gift card and also wanted a new mouse for my office. I am very pleased with it, especially for the price. It's very comfortable to use all day at my office, I like the DPI switching on the fly if needed. It has enough buttons for the office or casual gaming, but not a ton for macro controls etc. You can set things up in Corsairs software if you want, but I did not. I would recommend this mouse for someone looking for a great deal on a solid mouse.

Bought this after trying the one my friend has. Scroll wheel feels nice without feeling loose. Side buttons are easily accessible without losing your grip. Entire mouse feels smooth and looks great. iCUE software allows for easy customization for DPI and lighting settings. Also works great for fast paced shooters and casual simulator/ strategy games. All in all, it’s a great gaming mouse for $30.

My mouse was worn out and needed to be replaced. So I decided to get this gaming mouse since I play games, but I needed it to be simple so the rest of the family could use it. We all love this mouse. It works well for games and my wife can use it for the internet with out worrying about what all the buttons do. It hooked right up to the computer and that was it. I have not had anyissues with it. You can even adjust the speed so you don't have to move it to much. It was well worth the money.

You have to expect that the mouse won't be that great for the price that it is being sold for. When applying pressure with your thumb on the left side of the mouse, it slides up. Also, with the way that the mouse is shaped, the only way to get a decent grip is by holding it a certain way, and when you hold it that way, your fingers are misaligned with the mouse buttons. Your middle finger may hit the DPI button because of this. Average mouse.

I purchased this mouse to match the keyboard to be honest. And it was at a great price point (got it on sale). The center button controls how fast on the fly on how quick you can move your mouse icon - which is nice. I haven't gamed with it yet but I can see this could be very valuable for 1st person shooters (for sniping) then switch to up close. Great for casual folks too that wants something that has colors and feels good.

Bought this to match my new computer I bought from Best Buy. There weren't any instructions on how to change the colors and what not so it took some time to figure it out. It works great however the button placement for the changing mouse speed is a bit annoying. I find that I bump into it all the time. It doesn't get pressed, but it's annoying bumping into it and when you do, you instantly have to worry about if you accidentally pressed the button too.

Could be a little wider. Sometimes when pushing the side buttons, the scroll wheel button gets activated internally within the mouse. Kind of annoying when your buttons are mapped to different abilities in your game. But, for 30 bucks it’s not bad. I wouldn’t recommend it unless, like me, you need something cheap to tide you over until you get a better one.
