Like Other Corsair Products I Own, iCUE Bugs
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The reason why I'm giving them a low rating is because of the horrible Corsair iCUE software. Software detects the headphones but can't even fix the EQ and won't change the sound that you want. Also if you wear headphones, don't bother. Uncomfortable.

Great Work/Play Headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another excellent Headset from Corsair. I like that they are comfortable and wired since I do not need to worry about charging them and they work on all my devices. When playing Fortnite I was able to hear my surroundings very clearly which is the point of these. I have used their wireless headphones but these have truly a full surround sound thru them. I also like the microphone with that flips up/down to mute vs work. I thought I preferred wireless but for gaming sessions or watching movies these are perfect. Also they are more comfortable than others I have had. The ear cups really do not put pressure on my ears and the pad on the top par is like a pillow. I truly have been able to wear them all day for work and keep them on for gaming after. No charging required. I like the all black carbon look since they blend in more while at work and look less flashy. If I had to criticize anything would be the option of a wireless version with the same build so I could have a pair of both. Otherwise they are great. Another great job Corsair. Really top notch if they are in your budget.

Sound Fantastic and are Very Comfortable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got my corsair H65 Surround Stereo Gaming Headset a few days ago and have absolutely loved it. I got them for gaming but have been enjoying music just as much if not more over the last week. It seems whenever I get new headphones or speakers I kind of rediscover my love of music. Always checking the new device to see how crisp the highs are or how the bass feels. I think these are the best headphones I have ever owned that cost less than 100 bucks. For me, gaming headphones really need to score well in the 3 areas of sound, comfort and the microphone. If I am grading on the curve of costing under $100 then it is a solid 5* rating in all 3 areas. Sound quality is excellent. Everything is clear and crisp. Especially impressed by the quality of the lower bass sounds. Usually I feel like I am really missing out by not having my subwoofer rattling my surroundings but after about an hour of some classic rock I realized I was not feeling like I was sacrificing anything. After a bit I switched to gaming and this is where the 7.1 surround started to shine. Whether it was WWII soldiers or Orcs I always had a great 3D image in my head of where everything was. If it was supposed to be behind me and to the right, it sounded behind me and to the right. The microphone is really solid. I’ve had a few gaming headphones in my day and this one probably sounds the best to my gaming friends. I had very solid feedback from friends on how I was sounding. Finally we have comfort. It is a bit snug but very cozy feeling. I like the fit quite a bit and my head is a bit on the large size. Another feature I like is it has an adaptor that allows you to connect via 1/8” pin or USB. There is a volume control near the cord and pushing the microphone up automatically mutes it. All gaming headsets should have this feature! All in all I am very impressed with these gaming headphones. Great sound, a solid microphone and a comfortable fit all at a reasonable price. If someone asks about my opinion on sub $100 gaming headphones, I would definitely recommend this one to a friend.

Great budget gaming headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are a great set of budget surround sound headphones that won’t break the bank. Right out of the box you can tell that these are a well-made set of headphones. They are built well, but at the same time they are very lightweight and wont cause you a lot of fatigue wearing them for a long time. I found them to be quite comfortable for my head and had no problems wearing them for a few hours at a time. While they aren’t noise canceling, they do block out a lot of ambient noise so you only hear what’s coming through the headset. The microphone is on the left side and there is no way to change that which might bother some people. I know some headsets are reversable and you can use the microphone on either the left- or right-hand side. This one is fixed to the left-hand side. It comes with a standard 3.5mm connector so you can use them on pretty much anything with a headphone jack, and there is also a USB adapter to use them on your gaming consoles or PC as well. I used these on my PS5 and I thought the audio sounded great. I played Elden ring for a while and found the sound to be very immersive and well balanced. These aren’t really bass heavy or tinny like a lot of cheaper headsets can be. They had a nice full, rich, and balanced sound. I also tried them on my cellphone and talked to a friend of mine and he said the audio from the microphone sounded great. Also listening to some music on my phone sounded great as well. I have no complaints about this headset at all. If you’re on a budget and need a good gaming headset that will work with just about any device you can think of, definitely give these a look!

Great sounding headset with too much pressure
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sounding headset with is ok in comfort. Overall the Corsair HS65 headset is a great gaming headset very well made and sound great. I love the design of it and while I’m not of fan of the big integrated mic. It can easily be locked in place out of your sight, and the mic quality is amazing. So while I’m not a fan of the mic being permanently attached the mic quality does make up for it. My one big gripe is the pressure from the headset while the design of the ear cups and the padding is good the pressure tends to be too much after a couple of hours of warring the headset. While I never felt my ears feel warm I had to take the headset off every so often to relieve the pressure. The sound quality is great and Corsair software makes it a breeze to adjust your sound settings. But I was truly impressed using these on the ps5 they sounded great and everyone I played with said the mic quality was excellent. While I do wish you had a way to adjust the settings of the headset on the ps5 I did enjoy that these are simple easy To use headset. Compared to the other headsets at this price range I think these cannot be beat, highly recommended.

Comfortable for all-day use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m always looking for good gaming headsets that can be used for my zoom meetings on my computer. The Corsair HS65 Surround is a good headset that meets my needs for home gaming and for my work zoom meetings. Firstly, they are very comfortable on my hears. They are over-the-ear headsets and so they rest easily and comfortably over my ears, with very good and soft cushions that are not hurting my ears. Corsair calls it “Memory Foam Ear Cups” leather like and it does cup my ears well. With that, it creates good sound quality and does drown out some of the outside noise surrounding me. It is not true surround sound, but it does provide great sound. The headband is adjustable and very lightweight that doesn’t push down or squeeze my skull which makes them rest comfortably for long period of time as gaming and meetings can go well over an hour. The mic is on the left ear and easily adjusts up/down with little effort. The mic pick up is very good and those on my meetings can hear me well with no issues. I like that I can adjust it when I don’t need to use it and it mutes it at the same time. There is also the rolling volume on the left. It is wired and it can be used on the 3.5mm headphone jacks (many devices no longer have them but computers still utilize them). Included is a USB-A adapter that can be used as well if you don’t want to use the 3.5 jack. Overall, these are good lightweight headset for everyday use. I like how they are comfortable to use and can be used all day. Highly recommend these if you are in to gaming and online meetings.

Outstanding Sound; Outstanding Value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be sure to read the User Manual/Setup Guide as it explains how to enable 7.1 surround sound. In a nutshell, downloading their iCue software and using the USB adapter is required. If you don't, you won't get the virtual 7.1 surround sound. One little glitch I ran into was the website listed in the instructions was not working for downloads. I used their chat support to find the correct site is corsair.com/us/en/downloads to get the iCue download. Once the software is downloaded you have access to the equalizer and can choose between stereo and 7.1 surround. Once setup, I went to my go-to game, War Thunder, with the 7.1 surround enabled. The sound blew me away! It was so startlingly real I found myself flinching at the tank fire and explosions. It really put me in the middle of a war battlefield. The sound quality and range are terrific, the depth and layers of sound were much greater than what I had previously experienced playing that game with stereo headphones. And these Corsair headphones are very comfortable, they're lightweight and can be worn for long periods of time. The 7.1 surround sound, an equalizer to personalize the sound, and the quality of the sound of these headphones makes them a great buy at their price point. I highly recommend these, I don't think you can do better for wired headphones for their quality and features at their price.
