Replaced Virtuoso and not looking back!

I have to say I'm really surprised that the reviews on these aren't much higher.
I just did a geek squad replacement of my OG virtuosos due to a problem they started having after a whole year of use.
I'm a big tech geek so I love new device so I thought I would try this new model and I couldn't be happier.
The things I didn't really like about my virtuoso we're all addressed in these new hs80s.
They are more ear shaped versus round which IMHO is a way better design.
The pads are thicker than my old ones so the comfort is a big upgrade.
I was surprised the foam was softer than the pleather. They seem to rest on your head much nicer than the virtuoso ones and don't apply as much pressure over the top of your head over long use.
Don't get me wrong, I loved my virtuosos but these are lighter, don't hurt your head after a few hours, isolate sound wayyyy better and at the same time still allow you to hear outside a small amount (which I prefer).
I also really love the fact that I can just flip the mic out of the way.
Sound quality is awesome and the EQ settings give me some adjustments to what I am doing.
I first put them on and joined my mythic plus group on WoW in discord and immediately loved them. The difference was night and day with how clear and smooth the sound was when listening to teammates talk. Less outside noise than the virtuoso but still able to hear if I kept the volume down.
I did turn them up to 100 and play some good electro music, and I felt like I didn't want to take them off.
I feel very confident in saying I could use these all day and I've only used them for about 5 hours straight so far.
If you look at a lot of YouTube videos like I did you will see a common thing with Corsair headphones. The clarity is fantastic. I highly recommend if you give them a chance you will like them. Best buy has a good return policy so why not right? I try stuff all the time, most of the stuff I keep and these are no exception. I want to pickup a second pair that I can take to my office but I may just get a nice carrying case so I can enjoy them everyday everywhere.
Corsair killed it with these headphones. I think the only possible negative is that if your head height or width is a bit bigger than mine, the strap adjustments may not go far enough. I've got a larger chin with a beard and a more oval shaped head profile so I'd say try the fit first but even if they were a little snug, the comfort of the ear cups might still make up for that. They feel so good, I don't want to stop using them.

With the whole covid panDUMBmic thing going on, I've been working from home for the last 2 years. The old USB headset I had been using finally quit working, so I headed to the Jordan Landing best buy to purchase a replacement.
Customer service at Jordan Landing Best Buy wasn't very good. I wanted to try out the headphones before I bought them. The salesperson said that wasn't possible. "Oh you can just buy them, and if you don't like them, just bring them back." Seems he was in a rush to make a sale, wasn't at all interested in my questions. I chanced it and bought them anyway.
Fortunately I made a good choice. This headset is quite good. While I wish they had one in black, the one I ended up with was bright white. It fits very comfortably, I like how they fit completely over the ears. I wear hearing aids and have had problems with some headsets which were too tight and would press against the hearing aids, causing discomfort. I don't have that problem with this headset. It IS a bit bulky, but very comfortable.
I like how easy it is to use; just a large, rotating volume knob and generous-sized power button. The mic flips up out of the way if you don't need it. (the mic is not detatchable, however).
The headset also has RGB lighting which is over-the-top/not needed for my purposes, but it's a cool feature I'm sure others, such as games would enjoy.
They sound really good! The quality of the mic is great! I don't sound like the guy at the drive-thru! These sound crystal clear! You may adust the audio with the equalizer settings from the icue software, or if you want to get even more fancy, you have the option to use Dolby solftware.
Battery life is do-able. I can go the full 8 hour shift on a single charge. They will operate via USB connection if the battery is low, which is a plus, and you may use them this way while it is charging.
The wireless connectivity isn't blue tooth. It's proprietary, and uses a little USB dongle that plugs into your pc. I haven't really tested the range, but I know I can step at least 30 feet away and they still work fine.
The headphones come with the USB dongle, and a usb cable. The cable is longer than most, which is nice.
Overall, I'm very happy with this product, and I think you would be also.

The Corsair HS80 RGB Wireless headset has been a fantastic upgrade. The sound quality is rich and clear, with deep bass that makes games and music really immersive. The memory foam ear cups are comfortable enough for long sessions, and the wireless connection has been solid with no dropouts. My only minor gripe is that the headset feels a little heavy after hours of use. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable and great-sounding wireless gaming headset.

Needed a new headset after my void pro's died on me. Got these on sale and the fit and feel is much better than the void pros and mic quality is pretty good too. The advertised range is only for a straight line and even then is not to be trusted. Battery life is pretty on point and can last longer if rgb is turned off. If you can swing for the virtuoso's then that would be the better play.

Probably the best gaming headset that I have had

Bottom line: This is the best gaming headset that I have used so far.
Build/Design: The design of this headset is rock solid. The ear cups have fabric which is gentle on your ears. There is a headband which rests on your head and stretches between left and right cups. To me it serves two purposes. 1) It keeps the headset stable even when you are moving, 2) It feels better than the stiff top part of some other headsets. This combined with fabric on ear cups allows me to keep it on for long duration without feeling heavy on my head/ears. The left cup has power/pair button, a wheel to adjust the volume and mic. The mic goes on mute when you move it close to your ear (vertical position).
Software: It pairs with iCue software as expected. The software allows customization options like color, intensity etc.
Performance: The sound of this is the best part. Both the speakers as well as mic are excellent. The Dolby Atmos support really brings games alive.
Other stuff: The wireless option is provided via a USB stick. There is no bluetooth support. The included USB-A to USB-C cable serves as a charging cable as well as wired option if you want to plug it into the computer. The range of wireless is pretty good and I haven't noticed any drops. The packaging says it supports upto 60 ft but I haven't measured the actual distance. It is also compatible with PS 5.

I really like this headset! It looks nice and rests very comfortably on my head and ears. You can adjust the strap to where you would want it to sit on your head, and then there's a little give on top of that since the strap has elasticity. The sound is beautiful! Good battery life. Can customize the color/light settings of the little logo on the side. Love the volume dial, it has these little clicks that are responsive to any changes I want to make.
Mute by flipping the mic up + light will turn red but it's out of my peripheral vision. I wish there was an audio or better visual confirmation to see when muted.
One thing I noticed is that it takes a while when pairing the mic to Discord at times, weird since it's advertised as Discord certified on the box, but it could be Discord issue.
When it is paired it works well, there's a noise cancellation feature (noise + room echo removal) powered by Nvidia in the iCUE app. I think it filters out all noise except voices, because sometimes my friends can hear when others speak next to me, but it shouldn't be an issue if you game alone.
Tips that helped me with pairing/noise reduction:
1. Make sure the USB Wireless receiver is plugged into a USB 2.0 port only
2. Download Krisp
I only had Logitech devices before this. This is my first Corsair purchase to replace the Logitech G533 Wireless Gaming Headset I was using for a while and I'm a big fan :)

The Corsair HS80 Wireless Gaming Headset have exceeded my expectations so far. Included in the box are the headset (well charged right out of the box), a USB dongle, a charging cable and some instructions.
Setting up with my Playstation 5 was really simple. Plug in the included USB dongle into the PS5 (I chose one of the ports on the back of the PS5, not the front) and they automatically synced up and started working when I long pressed the button on the headset to turn them on.
I then went into the PS5 sound settings and adjusted the volume of the headset to 'max' as recommended in the instructions. From there I could control the volume using the click/scroll wheel on the headset.
When you first power them on, the mic boom lights up red, the Corsair logo on each ear cup lights up white and you know you are in business. When you pull the boom down to talk, the light changes from red to white.
The very first time I used these was on a gaming session that lasted for a little over 5 hours on a Friday night with buddies around the country. We play regularly, we record videos and shorts for YouTube and have been testing different headsets for a while now, to see which ones work well, when being recorded.
The first comments from my buddies were 'Man, you sound super clear this week' and 'I can hear you so clearly, did you get a new headset?', so I knew things were off to a good start! The omni directional mic was clearly working well, and the 'floating' headband design is one of the most comfortable I have ever used. The elastic strip across the head was so much more comfortable than having the headset resting on top of your head for 5+ hours. However, there is some weight to these headphones, a little heavier than some other brands I've used in the past, so please bear that in mind.
You can configure these headphones further when hooking up to your computer using the accompanying Corsair Cue software. You can adjust the colors that are displayed in the Corsair logo and turn off the light on the mic boom, which I will admit did become a little distracting, as it was just in my peripheral sight when gaming.
You can also set up the Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio. Anyone who loves their audio will appreciate the difference Dolby Atmos makes, and these headphones deliver nicely! After the gaming session, I took some time to listen to a few clips of what I know to be great Dolby Atmos content - my go-to is 'Ready Player One' - the sound track in that movie is epic, especially the racing scene near the beginning of the movie. Sounded superb, nice and clear, a good bass depth, and sound that felt like it was coming from all over the place. Incredibly immersive.
And you are not limited to just the PS5 (even tho they appear to be designed to complement the PS5 in the white), they are compatible with the PS4, PC and Mac computers as well, so they are nice and versatile.
Overall, after tweaking a couple of settings, these are a superb sounding, incredibly comfortable gaming headset, and I have no hesitation recommending them.

Since getting a pc I wanted some higher quality headphones and these for only 100 when I picked them up are such good value. The sound quality and the much appreciated comfort these give for the value is nice. The mic is great especially for this price Range and for being wireless.

I love how comfortable these headphones are and the weight that they have. The design is super sleek and I love everything about it. My friends say that the mic quality is great and all the videos I have seen seem to prove it however, the Corsair software does not give much (if any) customization for the microphone. Sometimes I want to turn down the sensitivity through software but instead I have to go into my audio settings through my computer. This combined with the fact that the mic is a set distance away from my face makes it feel like not everything I say goes through. It’s a bit annoying but not a deal breaker. The audio quality is great but you might find the same quality on the wired version.

I was a little bit hesitant in buying this headset because of reviews that I saw on here about comfort. I decided to take the chance, and I do not regret it a bit.
These are by far the most comfortable headset I've ever owned. Even with glasses on, the headset is tight enough to seal well around the ears, while not being so tight to be uncomfortable. Plenty of room in the ear cups. Can easily wear these for hours on end without any discomfort.
Sound quality is great, especially with Dolby Atmos surround sound. People I play with online also mentioned a noticeable increase in microphone quality versus my old headset - it's crystal clear.
Not that it should be a feature these days, but it's always nice to have USB-C connectivity - somehow some headsets still manage to hold onto the terrible Micro USB option.
I previously used a Turtle Beach wireless headset, and these blow those out of the water. Definitely worth paying a little bit more for a quality product.
If you're in the market for a gaming headset, I would highly reccomend these.

The HS80 RGB Wireless gaming headset is outstanding! It combines sleek design with customizable RGB lighting and top-notch comfort. The wireless connection is stable, and the sound quality is superb with crisp highs and deep lows. The clear microphone and impressive battery life make it perfect for extended gaming sessions. Highly recommended for any serious gamer!

I upgraded to this after my Corsair Void finally kicked the bucket.
Fits quite comfortably, sounds good, and the battery lasts for a good long while.
The microphone, however, I feel is drastically worse than the Void. It’ll pick up random sounds from other rooms while sometimes completely ignoring my speech. “Omni directional” is not needed when I only want the microphone to hear me.
Its integration with iCue is rather clunky: Most of the time it won’t auto-detect. Also not a fan of firmware updates changing the status beeps to voice prompts.
All in all it’s a good headset that I’ll continue to use but I would not buy it again.

The best headphones ive had, the audio quality in these things are top notch. I can hear every little footstep and movement that I wasn't able to hear before with my old headset. This makes playing FPS games a lot more fun and exciting. The comfort level is also top, i've been able to wear them for hours without my ears getting sore or irritated. And the battery life is also a plus they lasted me a solid 20+ hours on a single charge which isn't that bad considering the charge usually takes an hour so you get a good bang for your buck with this one.

Pros: You get a super well built headset, thats a little on the heavier side but the strap make it almost feel like the headset is floating on your head. Along with that you get a crazy good sound system not only for gaming but music and movies as well, paired up with a nice clear mic. This headset really has it all to the dongle to bluetooth, to being able to use a type c charger to charge the headset.
Cons: only cons i can think of is it is a little more on the pricey side, but with everything it includes i believe you get a good bang for your buck.
Overall Review: highly recommend this headset if you are looking for a nice well built gaming headset, it's very comfortable w a nice battery life w the option to use the usb c cable it comes with.

Hands down the best mic I’ve owned and I’ve owned probably around 10-15. These are super comfortable and the unedited mic quality is confusingly good for a gaming headset, seriously look it up on YouTube. This is a quality headset with wireless capability, a great mic, and is Dolby atmos compatible. You may have to replace ear pads soon after using as mine tore after only 2 months of fairly regular use. You can find cheap replacement pads for around $10-15 on Amazon.

Good build quality. Excellent sound but not what a true audiophile would choose. Perfect for gaming with quality surround sound. The mic is great until it gets repetitively abused by bending in unintentional ways by grandchildren. Not that it's super fragile but it does tend to be left extended and the headset gets placed face down or in some mic contorting position by aforementioned grandchildren and viola! Mic will eventually bug out on you. In the hands of an adult, you won't find issue with it.

These headphones are good, comfortable and sound is pretty good. The bass in my opinion could be better for the price tag but the mic… is golden. If you really care for how you sound these headphones are for you. My friend has told me my mic sounds so much better than the steel-series headphones I had (cheap ones). I play on PS5 and the headphones do sound great, footsteps are a little more noticeable and the directional audio is great. Only thing like I said I wish was better is the bass. But overall 4/5 stars. Only took one star off for bass.
