Decent headset with good sound quality, but the "20 hour battery" only lasts about 6 hours

    HS70's are better and cheaper.

I own the HS70's and thought I'd "upgrade" to the 80's. These don't sound anywhere near as good. They went back to the store and I kept my 70's. Idk what Corsair did, but these sound like crap compared to the 70's. Get those instead. The 70's will rock your head when you hear explosions in games like COD. Make sure to tweak the EQ!

      Hi,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Did you enable Dolby Atmos for Headphones via Windows' Sound Control Panel? You may also choose from multiple preset EQ profiles that tailor to your audio (Gaming, Music, etc.), or create a custom EQ that tailors to your ears. If you have any questions, please contact support via our website - we'd be happy to assist.

I have used Corsair products on and off for 8 years now. Do not buy their peripherals! Headsets, mice, keyboards. The software(icue) is a nightmare. RAM and PC cases are decent but do not buy anything else. Save yourself a massive headace and go Logitech or Razr. Heck buy HyperX. Just do not buy Corsair! I will post this review on everyone of their peripherals if it means I can save atleast one person from buying their subpar products.

I hate them. They sound good, made from good materials, but they are so freaking uncomfortable and heavy I am giving them away. Hurts the top of my head, hurts my ears, I will avoid talking to my friends just because I dont want to put them on. If you wear glasses, do not buy these.

Product is good, and just that. The Atmos feature (which is why I bought this) does not work that well. I guess for headphones , for now, this is the best as it’s going to be. I’ll go back to using my Sony’s they have a better sound quality over all. Also you can hear all that’s going on around outside of the headphones. So if you don’t want to hear things outside of your headphones, don’t get these. Not worth the price.

      Hi AaronC,

The headphones should be able to help provide a good amount of isolation when you are using the headphones. Did you have your microphone and sidetone enabled? This can pipe in audio from your environment via your microphone. Fitment would also play a factor to ensure you had a proper closure of the earpads over your ears. Sound like human waste without Dolby Atmos. Comfort wise: they’ll crush your skull if you got a big head but they do loosen up over time.

Bought this as an upgrade from my Corsair VOID Pros that I've been using for about 4 years. Immediately noticed incredible difference in microphone quality (eerily good, doesn't sound like you're using a mic at all) and sound quality in games. After about 2 hours of use, however, this thing began to give me the worst pressure headaches of my life. I tried wearing them for a week to see if extended use would make them better, but this provided no relief. Mind you, I have a large head, but the VOID Pros fit on me no issue whatsoever. TL;DR: If you have a normal sized head and don't mind very tight headphones, definitely buy these. If you have a caveman sized head like me avoid these and buy something else, trust me.
