Customers enjoy the Corsair HX1200 power supply's high power capacity and excellent quality. Many appreciate its quiet operation and reliable performance. However, some users found the included cables to be stiff and difficult to manage. Overall, the positive feedback on power, quality, and noise outweighs the concerns about cable management.

This 1200w model and the 1600w are the go to for reviewers who do stress tests on youtube. They're that reliable. They have a great reputation, Corsair has always taken care of me as a customer. I've been able to do some amazing things with this power supply. I was able to play games in 4k at 120hzand have movies playing in HDR on a separate monitor from a different graphics card while overclocking. I was also using a 10850k so it was really power hungry and I had to push the CPU to get the performance I needed. If you have a need for all this power it's a great choice.

I’ve owned many Corsair PSUs from GS600 to AX1600 and never had an issue with any one. I’m deducting one star only because I had to buy individually sleeved cables. The 24 pin that this unit ships with is impossibly stiff. There is no way it would maneuver inside my case and IMO this should come with individually sleeved cables at this price point.

Pros:
1200W of available power. Really nice.
Multi rail or single rail switch.
Super quiet.
Cons:
Cables could be better.
The 6 PCIE ports are the same ports that connect your cpu power socket, so essentially you have 4 to 5 slots for PCIE.
Details:
I would recommend this. It has a lot of available power in a good PSU made by a highly regarded company w/ a 10 year warranty. Regarding the cons I mentioned, the PCIE cables are all split cables, so if your GPU has 3 power slots, and you want each one to have a dedicated lane to the PSU, you will have a bunch of extra splits hanging off inside the case by your GPU. The cables are a bit stiff, the capacitor areas where they are shrink-wrapped are quite thick and their size/position makes it awkward for cable management inside the case. That being said, you can still do it. This unit though replaced a bad EVGA G5 1000w unit, and I will say the EVGA had nicer wires in this regard. I will be getting corsair individually wrapped cables to replace the stock ones. I wish corsair would just include these in their regular package at least on their higher end models, but it's a good price for this particular GPU which works well so I don't mind too much upgrading my cables, but -1 star for the subpar default cables.
I'm using multi-rail on my gpu switch. I've not had any system restarts or any issues running a 3090 off of it this way. Also, Corsair had a few issues with a serials numbers 2030XXXX to 2041XXXX (recalled) due to a faulty component. The issue has since been fixed and if you are buying new you should be fine.

It is big suitable for the full-size tower. Expensive but good quality. Silent and has enough juice for 3950x CPU MSI RTX 2080 graphics card ASUS MB RGB lights and 6 disks. Recommend it as a hassle-free power supply.

Very good PSU (Power Supply Unit), it's rated A or S tier according to multiple PSU lists. 1200w is more than most people will ever need for their systems. Has a manual switch for Multi Rail or Single Rail. Also comes with a 10 year Warranty.
When building a PC, the one thing you never want to skimp out on is the PSU. A bad PSU can damage/ruin all your other components; may even cause a fire or even explode. Every brand name has their own tiers from low, mid, high end range. This specific PSU is one of Corsair's mid-high level end PSUs.
This 1200w PSU is a powerhouse! More than enough power for my 5900x CPU, RTX 3080 GPU, 8 HDD, 2 SSD, 9 fans, & LED light strips. I play games, stream/record videos, video editing, render art/video/animation, etc. Been about ~10 months now & my system is pretty much almost on 24/7 with no power issues.

I needed that platinum efficiency and reliability for my gaming PC. This is powering a 3080 Ti and a 5900x with no issues. I only hear the fan when I power on the PC. It's very quiet, and I don't hear any coil whine or buzzing noises. It's been very solid so far. Hopefully, it lasts a long time.

After much thought I went for a higher wattage PSU that while not totally necessary, it has brought the noise level of my PC way down compared to previous PSU. Cables are super sturdy, the modular design is awesome for cable management as well.

This PSU is a large capacity unit with unique safety feature which allows the user to switch between multi and single 12v rail configuration. This unit is large and heavier than average. My case is a midtower ATX case and the filtered bottom intake did not lineup with this PSU as only half the PSU’s Dan can intake air. If you install it in the right case with a longer filters intake this unit is highly recommended!

This power supply was excellent for my application. It powers all the peripherals I have in my desktop computer. I have a liquid cooled GForce graphics card and 5 hard drives. It has lots of power cables and a modular design that allows you to install only the power cables needed.

Fantastic product. Corsair knocked the quality out of the park as usual. I was able to power two 3080s (I borrowed one for the test, not mining) with the system pulling over 600W per my UPS. Great PSU!

If you are going to use an RTX 3080 or higher series graphic card or a high-end AMD graphic card you’ll need at least 1000W PSU. The next gen 4000 series graphics cards are looking to use even more power so this would be a minimum for any gamer. You might even go with the 1600 W series if you want to overclock.

Been running it for a few weeks now and it's been flawless thus far. For what I have running on it, it handles it quite easily. I plan connecting more components to it later, but for now I have yet to see the fan running as it never gets hot enough to turn it on. Comes with plenty of cables.
