Makes an awesome backlight for my monitors. The light is defused well and setup was easy. Each is addressable for real customization. I got 4 more long LED strips and use it easily for a triple monitor setup. They do fall off easily if you try to move your monitor around. I don't move mine often, but if I did I would avoid these.

These are a little pricey for what they are but they honestly work great. I have used them both on the back of my monitor and inside my 4000D airflow case. They are a little hard to fit inside a pc and I wish they would give you the option to trim them to size (which can be done if you know what you are doing, but they dont make it easy). They work flawlessly with the ICue software and look amazing. If you are already using a bunch of existing corsair products in your setup, try them out. I dont think you will be disappointed.

Brighter than expected based on other reviews. But I do have a fairly dim gaming room. Awesome at night. Definitely ads to realizm while gaming. I have an ultra wide monitor and due to iCUE software limitations I had to add a 450mm expansion and overlap them in the middle, basically like a dual monitor set up, but in use you can not tell. You cannot mix long and short strips horizontally, only one or two 450mm strips is currently supported by iCUE. And only one 250mm vertically is supported. I hope this helps others. Magnets are just barely strong enough to hold them in place. Also, I used an extension to the controller and mounted it in the middle of my monitor so the cables come down behind the stand.

Love the lighting and that its tied to icue. But i think they really dropped the ball in a couple of areas. One, it doesn't shut off when u turn off the computer. You have to physically turn it off by pressing the button on the controller behind monitor. Two, you can only chain 3 strips together. I bought two extra strips and cant connect all of them together, you have to use 2 ports on the controller. And then in icue there are two lighting themes you have to program. I hope they address the shutdown issue with a firmware update. I can deal with they other issue but that one is a real PITA.

      Hi Calchef,

The lighting stays on after shutdown so that you can run the lighting separate from the computer. It's designed so that you can have ambient lighting in your setup without having to run a computer as well. If you'd like assistance with setting up the lighting profiles, please feel free to reach out to our support team, we'd be happy to help! support.corsair.com

I was really excited to get these to finish off my desk set up! I got them in and started putting them on my monitor and around my desk. If you have metal where you plan to place these they are really easy to install as they're magnetic! But if it's plastic (Monitor) you have to use these sticky metal pieces that the magnets on the light strips magnetize to. The installation could be better and I don't think they're flexible enough. I was also a little disappointed with the brightness. I think for the price these should be brighter, nonetheless they do add a nice effect and integrate great with iCue. If you're not already deep into corsairs iCue ecosystem i suggest looking for something else that's cheaper.

Lights are used for my dual monitor setup. Wish they were a bit brighter, and contrast between colors was more prominent, but overall a good product.

These light bars are well designed and well made. They are bright and fully customizable. I only bought these because I'm obsessed with 'Corsair lighting products. The price is a bit much for what you get and what they do.

The lights are really nice. It adds a lot to your set up but for ultra wide and dual monitor you really need the expansion kit. The brightness was a big thing I saw in other reviews, however its fine. Not the brightest but its not bad at all. As far as setup goes its not my favorite. I don't like the magnets and the daisy chain wires are annoying to deal with. And if you have an area on the bottom to access controls it will be hard to make them fit they aren't the most flexible things out there. Overall I would recommend this however be prepared to mess with it to get it to fit right.

Bright but limited number of LEDs supported

I bought these for my desk and they are much brighter than most people have reported. However you can only add a few more expansion strips to these kits before they are maxed out and won’t light up anymore LEDs. That means you have to keep buying additional entire kits if you want to also do a monitor or place more strips somewhere else, despite the second lighting channel. That means you spend more money and need more electrical outlets and more available USB ports. All in all a good product but just be aware of what you are getting into with these.

Works really well as ambient lighting. The video lighting setting to “extend” for movies and games is great. It could be a little brighter, and the magnet mounting system is not very good, you’ll probably have to come up with some other way to mount it on the back of your monitor. But the actual synchronization works really well!

Nice set from Corsair, kind of expensive compared to light strips available from other not so well known companies. This set is controlled by Corsair’s iCUE software which controls a lot more then just there RGB lighting.Software has many options for this lighting. Works well, built well and looks good and back of monitor. Not very bright but read can take off plastic cover over lights to make brighter but hav not done so. One drawback is way it attaches to monitor with magnets that first stick on monitor then attach to metal attachments on light strips. Tends to move easily if touched, not sure why they used this design since still have to stick magnets on back of screen anyway with 3M tape. Maybe so can remove when either dusting off screen or temporarily storing it. As said this is part of a bigger assortment of lighting accessories and RGB and fans. Just bought it to add lights behind monitor and it is very nice looking with many color variations like rainbow, strobing and pulsing effects. Actually take time figuring out all it can do as being part of a bigger system of accessories.

Very cool product from Corsair. Really easy to set up. Only reason I am giving 4/5 and not 5/5 Is I can’t get my settings for these to stay and they will change back to the rainbow default when I power down my pc. If you have a gamer in your life this is a great Gift for the holidays.

Looks pretty good along my pc! Biggest issue I have is the video sync option, basically mutes all colors so much that its basically just white light. If you just set your own effect though, it looks pretty great! If you want video sync, look elsewhere.

It's fine, not really sure why corsair markets it the way it does. If its mounted on the back of your monitor the light is diffused by the light reflecting from the wall, so having a diffuser just lowers the brightness of the reflection, which makes it less effective then a normal light strip. I wanted to use this in my computer case, unfortunately the corsair 4000d airflow is just a bit shorter then the length of the 450mm strip, and the strips only bend from side to side so it just doesn't seem worth it without upgrading to a larger case. The build quality seems good and I like the magnets but it is pricy for what it is, and it doesn't do what it was made for as well as less expensive light strips. So only buy this if you use icue as your main rgb software, or if you have a large enough case for this to fit.
