    Misleading advertising by Corsair...

I bought these to go with my other Corsair items and because it says they sync with music through the icue app. What they don't tell you is that you need to also have CORSAIR headphones to make this work... Disappointing after spending a bunch on these lights. Corsair should make that clear in their advertising or else i probably would have went a different way. With that, they are still cool RGB lights that you can set next to your monitor, which i like because I didn't want to stick things directly to my monitor. The light effects are cool and work seamlessly with other Corsair RGB items (minus the music sync part above). I only wish the non app light programs ran the lights together rather than one after another. The rainbow pattern would be way cooler if it was equal between lights but is instead offset. Bottom line if you have Corsair products and know about the icue issues these are great, if you bought them specifically to sync to music then you'll be disappointed.

      Hi Rick,

You would enable the Corsair Audio Visualizer within iCUE to sync the lighting effects with the headset. Were you able to create a lighting effect with this setting? Adds lots of cable to your setup, but there's no way around that. Can be cheaper than Philips Hue light towers, convenient to control via PC with Corsair's iCUE software. One of the towers has a headset mount.

Corsair has long been known for not only quality components, but seriously embracing the RGB movement in PC gaming hardware. You can basically get almost any accessory they make with ARGB lights. Investments in Corsair lighting can be expensive, but overall they work extraordinarily well, and the ecosystem means you can really build a cohesive setup. Enter the new iCUE LT100 lights, which add towers of RGB to your desk (or really anywhere). They don’t just follow your programs in iCUE, they bring some unique features that actually are more than just aesthetics. First of all, inside the box you’ll find 2 towers, bases, power supply, USB cable, and an interconnect cable for the towers. One of the bases is the controller, including the USB port, and power supply connector. It doesn’t matter which side you orient, as you can adjust left and right in the iCUE software. I started using iCUE 3, and everything worked as you would expect. I upgraded to the iCUE 4 series to see if there were any other unique features. Overall, either experience is good from a software standpoint. Setup is easy enough. Each tower clicks into the base and is reversible. It’s a nice design, and it’s easy to work with. It’s interesting to see Micro-USB instead of USB-C in a new accessory from Corsair, but perhaps these were in the design hopper for a while. The interconnect cable is a tad on the short side. I use the full length to be able to position as ambient lighting with my 49” super ultrawide monitor. There is a hardware lighting button that allows you to swap effects and turn off the lights. I couldn’t get this button to work, but honestly, I have the towers pointed towards my wall and behind my monitor, so this wasn’t a big deal for me. The towers themselves have 46 LEDs, and the base has a solid light that is also independently addressable. Each light can be set to a different color in iCUE by selecting them with your mouse. Obviously lighting effects can sync with the rest of your setup, but being able to layer and independently adjust lights is an added bonus. Rainbow wave unicorn vomit may be the default, but you’ll want to use some of the more advanced ambient features with these. The towers themselves are well suited for ambient lighting at night. One of my favorite features is the ambient video lighting, where colors from the screen are sampled and reproduced on the towers. This is one of the big reasons I wanted these towers, as with a super ultrawide monitor, it adds even further immersion. Having ambient light match on screen in my peripheral vision is a great effect, and the towers are about the same height as a 27” monitor (or in my case a 49” super ultrawide). I also appreciate the audio visualizer when I’m just chilling with music. These effects are responsive and gorgeous in practice. The LT100 set is a definite addition to anyone with an existing iCUE setup, or if you are simply looking to add ambient lighting to your setup. My current rig only has Corsair RGB memory, and the ambient capabilities of the towers is exactly what I was looking for. If you’re deep into the Corsair product stack, it’s definitely a no brainer.

These are very pretty lights. However, the length of cable running between the two make it difficult to position them on my multi-monitor setup. i made it work with some rearranging but then found that the software it uses to grab colors from your screen to provide ambient lighting to match doesn't do a very good job. I truthfully don't know enough about it to know if it is an issue with the corsair program or the games i'm playing but either way, it wasn't up to my standards for something of this price and I returned it.

I'm a fan of RGB in general. I have RGB strips behind my TV, under my computer desk, and in my PC case. I never considered getting dedicated RGB lighting towers for my desk, but they are a quick and easy way to add a new "look" to your setup. They were quick and easy to set up out of the box. The light bars snap into the bases. Then there is a cable that connects the two bases, a power cable, and a usb cable. Configuration is done through the iCue software. It is is pretty straightforward to use. The lighting effects are great, from rainbow wave, to rain, etc. It also has a mode that will mimic the colors at the left and right edge of your screen while gaming, so it can add some immersive ambient lighting in your peripheral vision. I like that you can set "hardware" settings, which is how the lighting displays when the bars are not connected to your PC. Meaning you can still use the bars, including turning them off and on while your PC is turned off. Once you set the hardware lighting profile, you can even disconnect your RGB light bars from your pc completely, and just turn them off/on manually. This is a great feature if you just want a static solid color, or you chose a lighting mode that you just want running all the time without switching it often. Overall I recommend these for anyone looking for a bit of extra style in their gaming setup.

For the regular price of $150 and all of advertising of them lighting up the wall behind your monitor… they are not worth it. In theory they do most of what is advertised but they are not very bright. In fact they cannot be seen at all if there is any exterior light in the room. Also, if you use them in tandem with the sister company Elgato’s keylight you may as well not have them on at all. Led strips that are a fraction of the cost are 10 brighter. Also they don't match colors very well at all and overall seem washed out vs the same colors in PC case (other corsair rgb). They just seem strange. Lastly, they advertise colors from your display being lit on the walls creating an immersive experience. Well if they were bright enough this would only work in games. If you want this same affect in movies your would not get it as Corsair screen capture turns off in any video with digital copy protection is played. This product just falls short of its advertising. If it were brighter, I could probably live with the other issues. At this point I am packing them back up and returning them.
