I do not use this keyboard for graphic arts instead of gaming. After using it for a few weeks I can alrwady see that this wont last long. The lifts that prop the keyboard up in the back have already broken off. There is almost a tremendous delay in waking this keyboard up for use. If tou just start typing on it without hitting a button to wake it up first it will always leave off the very first letter that you hit. I wish i would have stayed with a Logitech keyboard.

I have had the pleasure of reviewing some impressive keyboards. Even those attached to a laptop have really got my attention as the performance and abilities have really taken off in recent years. What I crave in a keyboard is a one with solid components, modern looks, flexible connection offerings, and responsive keys. This keyboard checks every single one of those boxes. Full stop, this is now my main keyboard above all others. The low profile, super-clicky scissor switch keys are perfect for my daily routine. I need something that feels and sounds like a defined key press and this board does just that. Every key feels ridged and doesn’t rock around in place under your fingertips while resting in place on top of the keys. Wifi connectivity through the provided dongle and no less than 3 available Bluetooth connections are sure to keep you connected to your devices on the fly with a quick keystroke. I can easily switch between my main PC to an iPad or Surface or phone I’m working on at the same time and not miss a beat. Screen sharing applications can only get you so far when working across platforms and this covers that gap nicely. Corsair’s iCue software is easy to use and intuitive. Limited options to sync RGB lighting with other components are available and well presented within the user interface. Fine tuning the lighting may require working through additional settings with third party proprietary programs. Setting up layered lighting schemes to aid with productivity or gaming looks and feels the same as working with photoshop layers and can be incredibly helpful. USB-C charging is welcome. It’s good to see nearly everything adopt this standard. And I have to give another nod to Corsair for providing a high-quality charging cable. It’s almost painful to see cables that won’t last more than 6 months included with hardware of this quality. That was not the case here. I absolutely love this keyboard. But, the cost of entry for this keyboard is pretty high and I kind of wish it was around the $175 range. I say that knowing this is a strange time for the world economy given inflation, supply chain issues, etc. However, aside from that, this keyboard is a masterpiece.

_____ *Pros: -Premium looking, excellent fit-and-finish, with high build quality. -The Cherry MX Ultra Low Profile keys offer great tactile feedback and satisfactory “click” sound. -Fast bounce-back time, short travel distance, and very low input lag. -Customizable RGB LED lights. -Can pair up to three devices via Bluetooth and easy to switch between PCs. -Can also be used wired via a USB-C cable and get access to 8,000 Hz hyper-polling. -Supports up to 50 macro profiles. -Great for both gaming and office productivity. -Love that it’s full-sized with number pad. -Good battery life. === Design, Build Quality, and Features === Upon first laying my hands and eyes on the K100 Air, I couldn’t help but be impressed by its premium-quality look, solid and pleasant in-hand feel, and its impressively thin profile. Despite being only 17mm thick, this aluminum keyboard is rigid with no flex and gives off a highly durable impression. The keyboard is also pretty light, making it easy to pack and highly portable. The brand-new Cherry MX Ultra Low Profile keys feel nice and tactile, thanks to key caps that are concave and a coating on top that feels smooth yet offer a bit of grip and resistance when you run your fingertip over the keys. Corsair says the keys only require 65g of actuation force with an actuation distance of 0.8mm, and both specifications certainly felt true during my usage in both games and office productivity. The 1.8mm travel distance feels “just right” and I found typing on the K100 Air to be supremely comfortable and precise. Having RGB lights as an option is always a bonus for me and I thoroughly enjoyed playing around with the lighting effects via the iCUE software. I love that Corsair equipped the K100 Air with three connectivity options: low-latency Bluetooth 2.4, Slipstream Wireless technology via the USB dongle, and a USB-A to USB-C cable to enable up to 8,000Hz Hyper Polling. My preferred connectivity option is Bluetooth as it’s the most convenient for me. By using Bluetooth, you can pair the K100 Air up to three different devices and easily switch between machines with a keyboard shortcut (Fn + G2, G3, or G4). I frequently move the K100 Air with me as I switch among my primary laptop and two gaming desktop PCs. The connections happen instantaneously and they’re rock-solid. For both gaming and productivity, I require a number pad and I’m so glad Corsair made the K100 Air a full-sized keyboard. With the real estate provided by a full-size form-factor, you get other niceties such as media control buttons, a volume roller, and four macro keys. The battery life has been great and recharging doesn’t take up too much time. === Performance === The K100 Air is probably the best keyboard I’ve ever used, and that’s coming from a person who own several high-end keyboards from Corsair, Razer, and Logitech that cost >$200. The keyboard performed flawlessly on everything, from gaming, office productivity, multimedia, and video editing. Even over a Bluetooth connection that doesn’t have the benefit of sub-1ms latency over the USB dongle receiver or the 8,000Hz Hyper Polling from a wired connection, the K100 Air exhibited very low latency and accurate input. Whether you’re doing office stuff or getting your gaming on, it simply can’t better than the experience provided by the K100 Air. The only possible negative is that when the Air is used a 40 hours per week office work keyboard, then your fingers will feel more fatigue as the keys have a short travel distance and they aren’t as well-dampened as keyboards that lean more toward comfort ergonomics. But I doubt that people will be buying the K100 Air to use as a work keyboard but more for gaming. === Final Thoughts === I’m totally in love with my K100 Air. I love it because it’s so light, portable, thin, and so well-built. Corsair has crafted a magnificent wireless keyboard with excellent fit-and-finish, premium build materials that you can feel with every touch, great battery life, and bling RGB lights that should satisfy pretty much everyone. Yes, the cost of entry is relatively high but if you got the coin, it’s oh-so-worth-it.

I loved this keyboard until the E Key fell off after only 2 1/2 months. It's impossible to reattach. Better to get a keyboard with a better key connection. For the price and how quick the key fell off after purchase it's hard to ever trust this one again. If you get it you NEED to buy protection on it.

Save your money, dont buy this keyboard. I purchased this keyboard for work and play - it worked great for 15 days, and then the shift key abd space bar started making an AWFUL high pitched squeaking noise. I was able to get it replaced, and now, 2 weeks later, I took my keyboard out of my work backpack and the ALT key was completely detached. I would not buy this keyboard again.

The Corsair K100 Air Wireless keyboard is my first Corsair product. This keyboard is very well made. It has an aluminum black top that looks slightly brushed. The rest of the keyboard is black plastic that feels like good quality, and not cheap. The fit and finish is perfect. The keyboard comes with a safety sheet, and a detachable 6 foot long braided USB cord. My keyboard came 80-90 percent charged at a guess, as charging to 100 % took just a short while. It's recommend that you fully charge the battery before using the keyboard. On the back side of the keyboard is a small on/off switch. The switch must be on even if you are using the USB cable to input your keystrokes. The pre attached wireless/Bluetooth sensor is on the back also. There are not any additional USB ports on the keyboard. Honestly, I've had some problems getting my Corsair K100 to keep the color settings of the keys. I'm not sure if it's the software, or me. It's most likely me though. There's really no instructions on how to set them up, other that a YouTube video that you can click on in the iCUE software showing a past Corsair keyboard, and NOT the K100. My problem is even though I've saved my settings, whenever I turn off my computer, and then start it again the next time, none of my colored keys are there. I have to open the iCUE software, and then turn it on again. Very, very annoying. One thing I really like, that I've not had on any of the gaming keyboards I've used, is that there is a brightness switch for the colors of the keys. You can have the keys totally turned off, to dimly lit, medium, medium high, and high to be seen better in the daylight. Even in a fairly dark room while gaming, I left if fully lit. The keyboard has a roller for volume up/down which I prefer over a button. There's also play/pause, forward or back buttons as well. If more than one person will use the Corsair K100 keyboard, it has a button to select the other profiles set up, or you can use those profile slots for different settings for different games. And like most gaming keyboards, there is the Windows lock button as well. Once all set up, my K100 looks terrific. You can custom create your own colors to make richer bold colors that stand out better than the factory colors for the keys. Or use the pre set colors, it's your choice. I do have a laptop that I use for regular use, but not for gaming. And with the Corsair K100 being a very low profile gaming keyboard, the Corsair K100 might take a bit of getting use to over the standard type gaming keyboards when you game. For regular typing and everyday usage, the K100 is great. For gaming,I've been using the K100 for a little over a week, and it's feeling better each time I use it. It's harder for me to "feel" the keys than a regular full size tactile switch. The feedback is very good as well. It's just getting use to the low profile tactile switch. I prefer to have my mouse as well as my keyboard wired to my computer verses wireless. I did use the K100 wireless though to try it out. The K100 synced up without any problems and worked very well. I even went into another room and typed a few sentences and every thing that I typed showed up. This was through a wall and about 20 feet away. Overall, I'm giving the new Corsair K100 Air Wireless gaming keyboard 4 out of 5 stars. It's very well constructed, looks beautiful when lit up, and has many great features.I'm not dinging 1 star for my software problem as I mentioned above, as I think it's really me, and not the software. I'm dinging 1 star as I think the price is very high for a keyboard and out of the budget for most people. There are many great keyboards out there for way less money.

Like most people, I've been suing a variety of gaming keyboards that are your typical mini or full size keyboards with RGB. Biggest issue for me with keyboard, in general, is that they're all wired. You can find some productivity keyboards that are but none that are geared for gamers. That is, until this keyboard showed up. I've had a couple Corsair keyboards in the past and all have worked well. I was really curious to test out this wireless one since, I could finally have that clutter free desk space I've always wanted. Finding a decent wireless keyboard for both gaming and work usage has been a bit difficult. Usually it comes down to which features are more important. This keyboard seems to be a great combination of both worlds, all in a slim/sleek wireless form factor. In terms of usage, this has been working excellent as both a gaming keyboard and for productivity. Response times of the keyboard in wireless are virtually a non-factor. Everything is registered immediately and I didn't experience any lag or delays when using/typing in wireless. Keys are a pleasant sounding cherry mx keys and the RGB on them is good. RGB wise, settings are pretty much the same as with any other RGB keyboard. Different profiles can be set along with RGB patterns and such. Overall though, does look cool especially from a wireless keyboard. Biggest con I've dealt with is the keystrokes. All my other keyboards had standard sized/height keys on them so this keyboard has very low profile keys. It's taking me a bit of time getting used to that. I'm fat fingering a lot of words on this keyboard so it's getting a bit annoying. however, over time, I'm sure I'll get used to it.

    Awesome gaming keyboard. Horrible Multitasker.

Mechanical keyboards are awesome. 8k hz hyper-polling rate makes it even awesomer. Pros: *Key presses are satisfying *Wireless or wired options *Meets most demanding gamers *RGB lightshows Cons: *Not great switching between devices for multitasking (more on this below) *Expensive Having a mechanical keyboard is the cat’s meow. I love the satisfying tactile feel of every key press. Not only is it fun to type on, the keys rebound fast and only have 1.8mm in total travel. The keyboard does need Corsair iCUE software installed to fully unlock the potential. Without the iCUE software, you will not be able to enable the one feature that makes this stand out from the rest….the 8k hyper-polling rate! One caveat, besides having to use iCUE app, 8k hyper-polling is only via hardwire to USB-C. The K100 keyboard is marketed as a “wireless” keyboard but the 8k hyper-polling rate requires a hardwire, which is included, to make the magic happen. There is actually 3 ways you can connect the K100 to your gaming rig. Hardwire, “slipstream dongle” or Bluetooth. The detachable hardwire has the 8k hyper-polling. The “slipstream” is a supplied dongle that you need to plug into a USB-A port on your gaming rig. The Slipstream method maxes out at 2k hyper-polling rate. Bluetooth is the slowest but still low lag enough for everyday typing. The color options on this keyboard are crazy and some can be straight up dizzy. I do like the ability to customize the lighting so that I can light only the keys that I use during an FPS game. Programming the lighting patterns has a steep learning curve that requires the iCUE app. It’s not the most intuitive system to use but does its job. I do enjoy gaming with the keyboard and I’m glad I got it for gaming. However, if you had the idea of multitasking with it, this keyboard is not the best choice out there. When I’m not gaming, I work between a Mac and a PC. Switching between the two with this keyboard is horrendous. I have a Logitech keyboard that has a dedicated keys to switch between devices. And that Logitech also tells me which keyboard I have selected by the actual light up key. This K100 keyboard doesn’t do the best job on telling me which device I have selected at a glance and its multiple key presses in order to switch between devices. Slightly annoying and not best-in-class when it comes to multitaskers. I also find annoying is that if you were typing on your Mac last and leave long enough that both your Mac and keyboard sleeps, and wanting to fire up the PC, waking the keyboard will ultimately wake the last device it was set for. UGH! At the end of the day, this keyboard makes a fantastic gaming keyboard and fun to type on. The crazy color programs are a bit wild and may not suit everyone’s taste…but luckily customizable via the iCUE software. Since I do use my gaming rig as part of my multi-desktop productivity desk, this keyboard falls short on switching between desktops easily.

I’m not the type to give a product a one star rating just because my device had a quality assurance issue, though it is worth mentioning that this keyboard was defective out of the box for me, and from reading it seems I’m not the only one. I got in contact with Corsair and they sent me another one that worked just fine no questions asked, but I do feel it should be mentioned. Aside from that issue, I do love this keyboard. It looks incredibly sleek and, for how thin it is, it’s still extremely sturdy and the keys still feel responsive and tactile. Additionally, the devices battery life when the backlighting/rgb is turned off is fantastic, only requiring a charge every couple of weeks. The price tag is a bit up there, and definitely higher than it should reasonably be, but I’d assume most people looking at a keyboard in this price bracket aren’t as concerned about that.

    The "No Compromises" Keyboard.

The Corsair K100 Air is an absolutely amazing keyboard. It's VERY expensive and to show for the price tag, it has no compromises. The SLIPSTREAM wireless connection is stable, fast, and supports multi point, so if you have a corsair wireless mouse, the two can be connected to a single dongle! It can connect to multiple PCs/devices as well, with quick and easy swapping between Wireless, Bluetooth source 1, 2 and 3 which makes this an excellent option for someone who streams with an additional PC. The battery life is pretty great depending on what you have your lighting set at, but for most keyboards in this class, it's acceptable. The biggest point for this keyboard goes to the keys (Crazy, I know!) Low profile keys are an acquired taste, but once you get used to it, typing is simply a joy. The keys aren't "clicky" but offer a delightful tactile response, and the actuation distance is very comfortable. Of course, it's not PERFECT...since it operates with ICUE which is notoriously problematic... The only other thing I would love to see with the K100 AIR is the addition of a TKL version. Overall, 5/5 because the build quality is excellent, and it ticks all the boxes. Keep an eye on Corsair's Revival page on the Corsair website where this beast sometimes goes on sale for $99!

I'm on my *seventh* K100 Air Wireless in 3 years. It's the most comfortable, responsive, satisfying, perfect clicking sound, perfect key travel, gorgeous LED lights, solidly built feeling keyboard I've ever used in my life. But they only last about six months before a few keys lose their crisp click and stick, and the janky volume scroll wheel starts turning the volume immediately up to blasting +100 when you want to turn the volume down, and the only solution is a warranty claim and exchanging keyboards, again. That said, and it's short life aside, this is the most enjoyable mechanical keyboard ever.
