    The "No Compromises" Keyboard.

The Corsair K100 Air is an absolutely amazing keyboard. It's VERY expensive and to show for the price tag, it has no compromises. The SLIPSTREAM wireless connection is stable, fast, and supports multi point, so if you have a corsair wireless mouse, the two can be connected to a single dongle! It can connect to multiple PCs/devices as well, with quick and easy swapping between Wireless, Bluetooth source 1, 2 and 3 which makes this an excellent option for someone who streams with an additional PC. The battery life is pretty great depending on what you have your lighting set at, but for most keyboards in this class, it's acceptable. The biggest point for this keyboard goes to the keys (Crazy, I know!) Low profile keys are an acquired taste, but once you get used to it, typing is simply a joy. The keys aren't "clicky" but offer a delightful tactile response, and the actuation distance is very comfortable. Of course, it's not PERFECT...since it operates with ICUE which is notoriously problematic... The only other thing I would love to see with the K100 AIR is the addition of a TKL version. Overall, 5/5 because the build quality is excellent, and it ticks all the boxes. Keep an eye on Corsair's Revival page on the Corsair website where this beast sometimes goes on sale for $99!

I'm on my *seventh* K100 Air Wireless in 3 years. It's the most comfortable, responsive, satisfying, perfect clicking sound, perfect key travel, gorgeous LED lights, solidly built feeling keyboard I've ever used in my life. But they only last about six months before a few keys lose their crisp click and stick, and the janky volume scroll wheel starts turning the volume immediately up to blasting +100 when you want to turn the volume down, and the only solution is a warranty claim and exchanging keyboards, again. That said, and it's short life aside, this is the most enjoyable mechanical keyboard ever.

I've had this keyboard for a while now. I switched to it from a K100 optical wired keybaord. The keyboard is attractive, thin, and feels well made. The backlighting is acceptable. Keys have a nice click to them, but I do still prefer the feel of a full size mechanical keyboard. The icue software is fairly easy to use, but I have stability issues with the application. Often, the icue software crashes in the background, and my corsair periphials return to their hardware lighting state. No problem, just execute the software again and everything comes back - an annoyance for sure, but stability issues could be my problem and not theirs... So, the most irritating thing about this keyboard is that it goes to sleep pretty quickly. When you start typing, it takes almost a full 1-2 seconds to "wake up" and does not retain the keystrokes that woke it. The result is, if you're not typing for a few minutes while reading or watching a video, the keyboard will sleep. When you have to press a key to wake it, then you can start typing. If you just start typing without waiting for it to wake, you will lose the first several keystrokes. I deploy wireless keyboards at work, and have used many different models from many different manufacturers, and I've never had a single one that takes this long to wake up, or doesn't cache the keystrokes that woke it. It is becomming such an aggrivation that I am likely going to replace this keyboard despite spending nearly 300 on it. After about 6 months of use, I am getting some ghost presses on certain keys, most noticibly on the S key. When I press S I'll often get 2 or 3 S's on screen. In order to use some of the reactive lighting effects, the keyboard must be connected via USB, as they will not work over wireless. All in all, the keyboard is attractive and well built, and feels nice to type on. However, icue feels buggy, some features require a usb cable anyway, the keyboard is slow to wake and doesn't cache initial keypresses, and the switches are showing signs of wear after a limited time owning the keyboard. Pretty disappointed with it in general, but it looks nice on my desk.

      Hello Mat,

Please do reach out to our team first to troubleshoot that ghost typing problem you describe. As far as the wake-up feature when it goes to sleep, you can elongate the time before that happens which will probably cure a bit of your headache.

...a new gold standard in the day-to-day, best of both worlds, all-in-one keyboard. Other reviews can delve deep into specs and the like, instead of beating a dead-horse I'm approaching this more from a feel and usage perspective. Sure, that might mean a more subjective read, but I mean it as nothing more than a different perspective instead of repeating the exact same spec talking points you can read about elsewhere and/or on the spec tab for the K100 that Best Buy provides you with in the first place. I have used a household name competitor as my work and play input devices for over nearly two decades now. Without going down a rabbit hole about those specific models, just let me say that while the feel and options offered by them has improved, their performance has not. And in some ways those issues are extremely impacting (ex: double keystroke issue) make them just about unusable, especially when you are trying to cruise through your writing @ 100+ wpm. Constant stop n' go to correct the double input for a single keystroke has a tendency to drive not only a fan of a brand away, but also insane... The K100? NONE of that. This thing is (at least at the time of this writing) operating perfectly and is a joy to sit down to every day. Each keystroke is more satisfying than it has any right to be. The slim profile is a welcome deviation from the usual mechanical offerings. The software is very nice with a clean and clear interface. Adjustments to the settings and color layouts is straight forward, instant, and there is a TON of them. Everything from screen mirroring to individual custom colors for each and every key. Also within the software is a bit of sensor monitoring, so if you aren't using something else for that already, CORSAIR provides you with it built-in to their software. Overall dimensions are nice and tidy, too. The profile/"bezel" of the K100 is minimal, which is great for a full-size as it doesn't require a lot of real estate on your desk. The fluff has been removed and you are left with what actually feels like is the slimmest and most compact frame for the components that technology is permitting at this point in time. As far as functionality goes it is no different. Beautiful and minimal is the name of the game here. Keys, buttons, the volume roller, everything oozes quality and transmits extremely direct feedback with your fingertips. Said volume roller is burled metal and has a nearly perfect weight to it, ie - it doesn't feel cheap. Sure, the K100 might scare some off due to it's full-price MSRP, but I can't recommend it enough. It is a no-brainer at full price, if you see them on sale throw your money at it and don't look back, you will NOT regret it.

I enjoy Corsair products, and it holds true with this one as well. Has a nice feel and sound when using, bright rgb and alot of customizability. And it is a solid build quality. Now why did I go 3 star? For starters almost 400 dollars for a keyboard is a bit much. And iCue needs some updates to keep this thing from constantly disconnecting wirelessly. I have to use it in USB mode while playing games otherwise it stops working, rgb turns off then it reconnects. Biggest pain in the rear.I dont know if it is a problem with the slipstream controller or the software itself. Might switch it over to Bluetooth and see if that corrects the problem. Because why pay so much for a wireless keyboard when you cant rely on it wirelessly.

      Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. Is the SLIPSTREAM WIRELESS dongle connected to a direct USB port on your system? It would be recommended to avoid connecting to a USB hub/dock. Please get in touch with us if the issue persists, we'd appreciate the opportunity to provide a solution: help.corsair.com

Overall, I love this product. I am more accustomed to laptop keyboards and never liked the feeling of high profile keyboards when playing games, just as a personal preference, and this one works perfectly fine for games in any genre--even more intensive fps games. It's easy to keep clean regularly (as long as you aren't letting it gather dust or gunk over extensive amounts of time), has neat lighting features through iCUE, and provides a smooth feeling when using it in any context. It was very easy to set up and can be used wireless or while plugged in (I prefer the latter). It is very portable as well if you need! The only thing keeping me from giving it its fifth star is that you cannot easily obtain replacement keycaps from CORSAIR should you need one. I had to purchase an entirely new keyboard after a few years of use due to my 'a' key breaking, causing one half of it to no longer stay rooted/connected to the key itself. I believe the only way to obtain replacements are through third-party freelance vendors on sites like eBay or Etsy. I am also not very heavy-handed, so it is possible this keyboard would serve a shorter lifespan for others-however, I am deeply satisfied with the product and have recommended it to a few friends of mine who also prefer this type of keyboard.

Fantastic keyboard for someone looking for a full feature device with more of a laptop keyboard feel. Key travel is shallow and way less noisey than a traditional mechanical keyboard. Needs the icue software for set up but was fairly straight forward. Multi device support is nice

while very heavy in the price department. It is a very sleek, and well built keyboard. tactile feels excellent for a membrane style keyboard and its Bluetooth/wired options are a nice feature to be sure. My only complaint, is that within 3 months of purchasing it the E key popped off during a very...competitive gaming sesh. On a mechanical keyboard this would not be an issue. But because its essentially a membrane keyboard the keys are VERY difficult to get back on and feature a truly losable tiny spring that is thinner than a tooth pick and about a cm long. Admittedly I do type with a heavy hand and I do tend to hit the keys pretty hard during intense gaming. Cliff notes: feels nice to type on and is generally comfortable, good built quality, great lighting and tons of features, is very comfy. However if you type heavily or have rage issues of any kind beware the keys popping off after prolonged abuse.

I really, really cringed at the price. I paid $200. I know that many paid up to $300. Maybe I'm just getting old, but that is a LOT of money for a keyboard...BUT.... I am on the computer 40-60 hrs a week. Having something that feels this good to use is pretty awesome. I came from a 6 yr old Logitech MX Keyboard and loved it. My job requires that I use a plug in keyboard and mouse and that leaves you with pretty limited options, considering I wanted something that could connect wireless AND wired. First off. The hardware is amazing. The key travel is perfect for me, The weight is right and the RGB is quality...although I could take or leave the RGB...at least the ability to change colors and etc. Second. I hate the iCUE software. I find it confusing and annoying. I'm not a computer n00b either. I could deal with the quirky software...but twice it has completely chewed up RAM usage and crashed. IDK...it's just a keyboard at the end of the day. I don't want to deal with weird software that needs to run in the background, crashing things.

This is a great cherry mx mechanical wireless RGB keyboard. The battery lasts for days on a single charge with the backlit color glowing while typing most if a day on it. Its always accurate when typing on and feels very satisfying to type on. Its really thin so there is no need of a wrist rest pad. Each key can be individually colored and profiles can be created for different users and games for a user. It is a bit expensive, but It feels and works its cost back each time its used.

This keyboard is quite awesome. I love the way it looks and I'm getting used to the way it feels. People say it's loud? I know what they are talking about but it's nothing that can't be worked around by putting something soft underneath the keyboard. I used a small cut-out piece of acoustic foam/board. Now you hear hardly any *thudding* when I hit a key! It does elevate your keyboard a little however (which can hurt the wrists) so invest in a wrist pad and cut out a small piece of acoustic foam/board and slide it underneath that. It worked like a charm for me! Otherwise its a fun keyboard overall. Drfinitely overpriced by about $89.99. Wait for it to go on sale, THEN it'll make more sense to buy. People say spacebar problems? I have not experienced a single issue. They got a bad item or dont know how to use it. Happy shopping!

Amazing, 10/10! Its wireless, the clicks are amazing, snd the response tome is instant. Weighs next to nothing and the aesthetic is unbeatable. 50 hr usage battery life, but it goes to sleep after 10 minites if you have that setting on which is defaulted in the system. Literally everything I was looking for in my first gaming keyboard!

Started to fall apart very easily. Ive had it a long time but only used it for several months when keys started to fall off of it. I think I got a defective unit unfortunately... Its a great keyboard and the fact that it can save several connections and you can quicky switch between them is excellent. Its a good product but hopefully the rest of them are actually built well.

Was looking for a low profile keyboard for my Apple Studio Mac Mini. Corsair is one of the best products out there for computer accessories. Can not go wrong with the RGB's. Corsair App works great with Apple. Very customizable. Solid built, aluminum body. Keys take little effort to use. Love this keyboard. Highly recommend if your into low profile keyboards with awesome RGB lighting.

This is the perfect keyboard for setups that require distance from the computer and monitor - especially of you have a dog that runs back and forth between you and the computer. The wireless connection and response time is very good, and the keys have a short throw distance. While it has a low profile, the keyboard is sturdy and has good weight. The software functionality is extensive for a good amount of customization. This is a full size keyboard, and is great for work and gaming. It is expensive, but I am very satisfied with this purchase and recommend it.

Highly responsive, if there is any lag in keystrokes it is imperceivable. With iCUE, RGB is highly customizable, and switching profiles is quick. The LEDs at the dimmest setting are visible during the daytime and more than adequate for nighttime use, even with them always on the battery life is great. It's better with auto shutdown after a user-set time of inactivity, which is perfectly fine since the keyboard connects immediately with a key press, you can keep the supplied dongle in the dummy port if you already have a Corsair multipoint slipstream receiver in use with another Corsair device. These ultra-low profile switches have taken me a little bit to adjust too, coming from regular cherry mx reds, but they do have a nice tactile feel and good stability. Keycaps are recommended to not be removed, dust might be an issue down the road if you live with pets and or live in a humid environment. Comes with a dust cover and a nice braided USB-C cable. If you bought into Corsair's ecosystem and want low-profile switches this is the keyboard to get. The only thing I don't like about is there isn't a silver chassis with a white translucent keycaps model.

I love the keyboard itself. I've been looking for a while for a high quality, full-sized keyboard, with the flatter style of keys. The main problem is that corsair made it, so the companion software you have to use is buggy and very frustrating to use. Takes a lot of time to get it going the way you like. One feature they advertise is the ability to set multiple lighting profiles. I was hoping to get one profile with a steady solid light, and another as a ripple effect that spreads accross the keyboard, but the software just doesn't accept both as advertised. It's very inconsistent, I got it working once, then an update came out and it doesn't work anymore. Only recommended if you are familiar with icue or are willing to devote considerable time tto

I was excited to try this keyboard. It took a week or two to get used to it. The keys are very fun to press, but I didn't find I typed any faster. I believe the action is actually a bit TOO low profile. Anyway, I usually hit the space bar on the ends, and two months in, it stopped responding on the right side. It had always squeaked a bit. I replaced it with a 915X Tactile and I'm much happier tbh. Yes, the Corsair feels like the most advanced, but honestly, other than the very nice click and sensation from pressing the keys, I don't think you need mechanical switches for something that is similar action to a laptop keyboard. (i.e., a regular membrane or butterfly switch works fine for that shallow action, such as on many laptops) Many times, I did feel like I wasn't getting enough movement out of the keys to type well. I am sure part of it is personal preference. Also, I felt the bottom of the keyboard (not that it matters, it's never seen) was a letdown - it looked like it was a metal grill in online photos, but it's plastic. The Logitech is all plastic but feels consistent throughout and also has a nice weight. Honestly, even with Macbooks, I don't love having metal casing, it can get very cold or hot against the skin, and the Corsair was like this... the metal top could be shockingly cold at times. I'd still give it five stars if it hadn't broken down so quickly. But I felt I should share my experience since it didn't last very long.
