Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the K55 Wired Gaming Membrane Keyboard's RGB backlighting, build quality, key feel, price, and ease of use, with many praising its comfortable wrist rest. The keyboard's responsive keys and pleasant typing experience are frequently highlighted. However, customers are negative about the included software, citing issues with glitches and difficulty in use. Overall, the positive feedback on the keyboard's core features outweighs the concerns about the software.

I read a lot of reviews and watched Youtube videos on keyboards. People rated this board high. I wasn't a fan of the sound the mechanical boards makes (my son has one) and this keyboard is not mechanical. I didn't have to have RGB but it is a nice touch at night. I don't play a lot of games but when I do I like the feel of the keys, however, my son has dedicated keys he can interchange that are different color and texture to make it easier to identify when playing (a different Corsair keyboard). The keys feel balanced, not too much rocking and feel solid. It has a number pad that is a must have for me. Also media controls, I like to play music when on the computer. I like the six macro keys you can customize I can use when editing photos and videos. Lastly, the price was right. My advice is know what you want on how you use your keyboard and make sure it's quality (I use mine until it dies-the main reason I bought a new one)

It’s not a true mechanical keyboard but it’s pretty close. It has a lot of bells and whistles (RGB, macro keys, media keys, membrane “mechanical feeling” keys) and it’s built well. There’s barely any flex to it and the included wrist rest is great.

I am new to PC Gaming so I didn't want to break the bank on a mechanical board when I have never used one. I figured I'd get this and eventually switch to a mechanical when I learned what I like. I do not see me needing to switch from this board. Relatively quiet and comfortable to type on. The Macros work well for RPG games. The keys have a rubbery feel to them but not in a cheap way. They feel sturdy and its easy to be accurate while playing games. The RGB is easy to control and even better with the ICUE software from Corsair. I am a terrible typist but it feels smooth to me. I'd recommend to friends and family. The quality rating is based upon the solid and strong feel. I have only had it a few weeks.

I was instantly impressed with the CORSAIR - K55 Wired Gaming Membrane Keyboard with RGB Backlighting - Black. I wanted a light up key board that could be use for to encourage my daughter to type and keep her interested in her online school lessons. I bought this keyboard more for the backlighting feature than for using it in gaming, but it worked out perfectly. The keys are soft and easy to use for typing. And there are several different ways that you can set up the keyboard. I have only tried it on free internet games but it seems to work well for gaming. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable keyboard with RGB backlighting.

I was able to get this for $50 this is the best keyboard I have so far here are couple call-outs and one nuance: 1. Very sturdy it feels very good and has the right texture 2. Keys very responsive 3. Comes with the palm wrist guard awesome think thats what you call it 4. lighting up the keys is great especially in the dar 5. Tons of options I have not tapped into like the macro buttons think that's the G1 to G6 Nuance 1. The short cut buttons to control the light did not work. I had to go into the software Corsair Utility thing to access it. But I only needed it on one color so I am good. Overall great buy for $50.

I needed a keyboard for my office setup, but this keyboard offered way more value vs the Logitech and Microsoft keyboard options normally. The keys feel great but are also silent. The lighting on they keyboard is very even and looks great. The functions keys work great on Windows and Linux. A great buy and great value for $50 as well.

This is one of the best options for a gaming keyboard if a high-quality mechanical gaming keyboard is out of your budget. Great backlight options, a good feel for a membrane keyboard, media keys, and six macro keys, and a detachable wrist rest. The lock button, which you can use to disable the Windows key while playing games is also handy if you find yourself accidentally hitting it while playing and minimizing your game (it can also be configured to disable the alt-tab, alt-f4, and shift-tab functions).

I bought this mainly because of the price and was expecting something not so great but good enough for gaming and all i got to say is it blew all my expectations. RGB is great The Keys are good and the software for rgb is pretty simple to use.

I'd say this is a really great quality keyboard after looking at several online and in-store. I am happy with it for sure. I was in need of a new keyboard for both gaming and for working from home. This is a good brand name I am realizing as I purchase and try more of their gaming products. (mouse pads and headsets ect.) I like the way the keys feel on this one for sure. I am indecisive as a person, so I switch from loud clicky keyboards to softer clicking ones by preference lol. And based on whether or not my roommate/boyfriend is in the room and it might be annoying him. This keyboard is moderate clicking in my opinion. Like the old keyboards once used with Windows 95/98 Computers (The one's colored like manilla folders lol) except this is Colored LED and much more sleek and cool or modern looking rather. I'd recommend it.

Very good keyboard for the price. The RGB lights are NOT individually controlled, they just cycle, but the effect is fine for what I do. Keys are soft, but with a gentle click, nice travel on the presses. Worth the $60 bucks.

This keyboard doesnt have all the bells and whistles of a $100+ keyboard but Corsair has managed to give it a lot especially for the given price. The build quality is nice and of course it has RGBs. The only feature that its really missing is the software program to configure custom lighting schemes so you will be limited to using preset RGB layouts..but again you cant expect much more for $50. You still have the ability to set one custom color layout but the only drawback is that you cant add effects to it such as breathing or flashing unless you use the preset given. The keys feel great when I type and the keyboard looks awesome as well. Overall, I love this keyboard and I'm using it to write this review.

I was wanting a gaming keyboard that isn't loud like most MX Cherry keyboards. This one is still RGB, looks professional gaming, and isn't annoyingly loud. I love the programmable macro keys as well.

For an entry level mechanical gaming keyboard with RGB lighting this keyboard is an excellent choice. Responsive keys that feel good and six programmable macro keys for gaming. Plenty of lighting effects to suit everyone without the need to use the icue software. Palm rest is a nice addition to the package. You can't go wrong with this one for the price point.

I'm very happy with the keyboard. sometimes I accidently hit the buttons on the left when I don't need to, getting used to that but the quality feels good and the keys are very responsive. I plan to use the macro stuff soon. the lighting is kinda cool-o-rama

The keyboard has been great so far. The keys have a decent amount of play and it is easy to type on. The backlight is nice, but it only can only change colors within the preset zones. It would be nice if the user could color individual keys for gaming, but I'm sure that would cause a big increase in price. Overall, very happy with the keyboard.

For the price you can't beat this keyboard. I love having all the buttons to control my music while I'm streaming my painting in Twitch. Also have the six custom buttons and the led lights make this keyboard awesome. The keys feel great and the keyboard is light. I bought one for my fiancé tried it out and ended up buying another one for myself a week later. Highly recommend buying this keyboard.

I bought this to replace my old keyboard that died. This keyboard has great response time for gaming and extra keys for macros you may need in your games. It is relatively quiet compared to other keyboards. The lights are great and puts on a great show at half the price of most other keyboards with the same functionality. I am very happy with my purchase.
