Great value keyboard

Good but broken
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard is built like a tank and feels high quality, however I've had to exchange it twice. Whenever you launch iCue the backlighting goes to white and the keys no longer work until you close out iCue and unplug and replug the keyboard. After searching reddit this is a very common problem with this board.

Wish the keys had a different feel
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn't a bad keyboard. Only reason I didn't give a 5 is because the keys didn't feel totally smooth.

Didn’t work for me nor League of Legends
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is nice, other than the fact that the key switches are too light. A feather can almost push these keys ( I prefer a harder key press so maybe it’s just me ) But another thing - I play League of Legends and when I used this keyboard it completely messed up my game. It would make my mouse to the bottom of the screen causing my mouse to spaz out and keys would randomly be activated. Idk if mine was defective but it did not work well for me.

Sorry to hear you have a different preference of feeling for your game-style. Doesn't sound like you had a specific issue to troubleshoot that was related to the keyboard or iCue, but you can always contact our team directly on our site if you believe otherwise.

Compact, satisfying keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bigger isn't always better, and Corsair's K65 Pro Mini showcases the benefits of an efficient gaming keyboard. Smooth, fast keystrokes combined with maximum space saving design create a unique experience for gamers of all types. Right out of the box, this keyboard is compact but eye-catching. Packaged simply with a USB Type-C to Type-A cable, the K65 Pro Mini is a minimalist's dream. Everything you need from a keyboard is there in its clever layout. Advertised as 65% the size of a regular sized desktop keyboard, the K65 Pro Mini does not lack in aesthetic appeal. The keys have a great bounce-back to them, with a mechanical typewriter feel that is ultra-satisfying. The multicolored glow that resonates from the keys is bright and has a kinetic energy to it as a wave of colors moves across them. The keyboard is packaged with an interchangeable spacebar that looks beautiful through the RGB lighting. If anything, the keys can be a tad too responsive as in some instances, I find myself double tapping by accident. But overall, the keyboard is a joy to use. Compatible with PC, Mac, XBOX, and Playstation, the K65 Pro Mini delivers a compact alternative for all types of gamers looking to save desk space. Corsair's offering may leave a small footprint, but its comfortable feel and overall satisfying performance has the K65 Pro Mini casting a big shadow. Highly recommended.

Great 65% layout with PBT and solid construction
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Corsair’s latest 65% keyboard is a mainstream entry into a niche product category. 65% keyboards offer one of the most compact possible layouts that eschews function keys, but retains many other keys in a compact layout. The K65 Mini sports their new signature OPX keys. First featured on the K100 OPX keyboard, the optical switches found in Corsair’s K65 offer over 150 million (yes million) keystrokes per key. That combined with their linear actuation point, they offer an ultrafast actuation and zero debounce. This isn’t my first keyboard with these keys, but it is the first sporting PBT keycaps, which are a huge addition to this keyboard. First of all, like most Corsair products, this one comes in a nice yellow box. It’s a highly recyclable box with almost no packing waste, so that’s a plus. Inside you’ll find the keyboard and a USB-C to USB-A cable. A second more ornate space bar is found, wrapped like a cheese stick. Unfortunately there are no USB ports on this keyboard, but given the minimal layout, it would be hard to have them. As far as the keyboard goes, we have Corsair’s excellent lighting, their penchant for using aluminum casings, and fairly new for Corsair: PBT keycaps. PBT is a polymer that offers a lot of resistance to the shine you see on ABS keycaps. The keyboard layout is a standard layout despite being smaller, so replacement caps are easily found. The OPX keys have standard cherry mounts, so pretty much any set will work if you choose to replace them. The keyboard has an excellent weight (623g to be exact) to it and the aluminum dampening plate makes flex non-existent and gives the keyboard a sturdy and premium feel. The layout is slightly more than a 60% - offering dedicated arrow keys, as well as Del/PgUp/PgDown. Modifiers through the Fn key will light on press. The number row offers the F1-F12 keys. Home/Insert/Pause/End all hide on the far right keys. There is an interesting set with the WASD to offer mouse movement and clicking, which is surprisingly fun. Arrow keys modifiers allow volume and media functions as well as some basic keyboard functions like brightness and lighting. The board sports a pretty extensive macro setup. There are dedicated macro keys, and a macro recorder built into the hardware. iCue continues to offer one of the best interfaces for customizing your keyboard and creating those macros. There is 8MB of storage - enough for 50 hardware profiles, including key assignments and lighting profiles. This keyboard is meant to be customized, and then potentially took to tournaments or lan parties. So what are the OPX switches like? They feel like Cherry MX Red’s with a shorter actuation point. To the point that you have to be careful when depressing or even resting your finders on the keys. For gaming it’s extremely responsive. For typing it takes some getting used to. I found I could easily hit my 75 WPM typing speed with a bit of adjustment. I play Starcraft 2 and found the ability to spam on this quite high - I did however miss my F keys (I love F2 too much). Again, there is a learning curve if you’re not overly used to Red style keys. CS:GO I found the adjustment was easier. Cyberpunk 2077 was playable and I found the macros quite helpful. Corsair’s software allows you to tweak the keyboard to your delight. In iCUE 5 you can create lighting profiles, sync with other profiles, re-assign keys, and disable certain key functions (like the windows key or alt+tab). iCue also allows you to adjust important settings like layout and polling rate. This keyboard by the way supports a polling rate of up to 8000hz, which isn’t enabled by default. 1000Hz should be plenty for all but the most competitive gamer, and keeps CPU utilization to a minimum, but it’s there if you decide you need it. Besides the excellent software, there are multiple lighting effects built into the keyboard. These are cool because they don’t require iCUE. You get built in effects that can be customized and programmed into the keyboard. Some may find the Type Lighting to be cool, but honestly being able to set a static backup color for the backlight and program is a good fallback as opposed to the RGB throw up that used to be the default. I’m a huge fan of the watercolor and murals - new in iCue 5. Corsair has another winner here in my book. The addition of PBT keycaps on their latest Pro keyboards is a god-send for durability and longevity. The build quality of the keyboard itself is top notch and the keys are quite satisfying to type on. Beyond gaming I actually found this keyboard to be great for programming, as the dedicated arrow keys and integrated Fn Mouse movement meant I rarely had to leave home row. The extremely small form factor continues to be an ergonomic boon - keeping your mouse much closer than you’d get if you had a full keyboard. A TKL layout might be best for many, but if you like the minimal size - the K65 Mini Pro is a great keyboard.

A feature-rich Mini gaming keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First impression: My first impression of the K65 Pro Mini keyboard was that it was very rugged. Right off the bat you can feel the weight. The plastics seem very strong, and the keys feel high quality. Specifications: • PBT keycaps • Corsair’s speedy and semi-proprietary OPX linear optical switches. • An 8,000Hz polling rate • Aluminum top plate that holds the switches. • 2 layers of sound dampening pads. • Up to 50 custom profiles can be saved on the keyboard’s local memory. • Up to 20 on-board lighting effects, selectable and adjustable via hardware only Performance: The keyboard responds beautifully. The keys feel light, go down easily, and do not require excessive force; plus, there is a good amount of resistance. The keys also don’t bounce which is nice as I am a 2-finger typist. The keyboard has 2 sound-dampening pads to reduce sound click. I really don’t feel like it is any quieter than any other gaming keyboard, but that isn’t an issue for me. I’m more about the feel of the keys than the sound they make. This keyboard has a very solid feel, thanks to the aluminum top plate. There is no flexing at all. The keys are fast and the polling rate faster at 8 kHz. The aluminum plate adds weight to the keyboard which I really like. Regardless of the surface, this keyboard is not going to slip. The keyboard is a wired keyboard, but it uses a USB cable instead of it being hardwired. I prefer this so much more than a prewired cable. If I am going to take the keyboard somewhere, I just unplug the USB C cable and take it. The keyboard works with the iCUE software, but unlike other keyboards, it is not required to set up the K65 Pro Mini. However, with the software you can create and save up to 50 custom profiles, and you don’t need to access the software to change them. They are saved on the keyboard, and you cycle through them with key combinations. You can do the same with 20 custom saved lighting profiles. This keyboard has quite a few built-in functions, but my favorite is the function key. When you press the function key, any color profile stops, and all of the keys go dark except for the keys used for functions. That way, you have all keys that perform a function illuminated white, so it’s easy to pick. Although it’s not usually a big deal, with a color profile running, it can make it a little more difficult with the key colors changing. Conclusion: This is a very nice keyboard. I love the keys, the speed, the feel, the sturdiness, and the built-in functions. It’s small (65%), so I am having to get used to the smaller size, but it’s worth the hassle. It uses much less real estate than my full-size keyboard, and it’s completely customizable. The only downside I can think of is the price. It’s a little pricy for a keyboard, but it functions like a full size. I highly recommend this keyboard.

Solid quality, compact gaming mechanical keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have traditionally preferred keyboards with a dedicated number pad, and this doesn’t seem to be a preference that many in computer gaming circles share, however I’ve found having them has been useful more times than not. I decided to try the K65 Pro Mini because I wanted to try a kb that had a sturdy body, mechanical keys (of which I’ve become a serious fan), without a number pad, specifically for my occasional Steam sessions. I really like backlit keyboards also, especially with per-key RGB effects. My gaming laptop has RGB, but the keys are all the same color, and I sort of find that boring. Not only is the K65 Pro Mini a per-key RGB backlit keyboard, but you can configure it in the iCue software companion that Corsair provides free on their webpage. I really appreciate the details. The mechanical keys here feel great. They have a defined bottom, something similar in feel to MX reds or browns, probably closer to browns, which I like, and the keyboard clearly has great damping, so the action doesn’t feel hollow. I have tried this keyboard on both Windows/PC and Mac, and it works flawlessly on both. Because it is wired only, it’s very fast and responsive. But I will say it would have been nice to have both wired and wireless as an option. I’ve gotten used to wireless kbs when I’m not gaming. It comes with a sturdy USB-C to USB-A cable that has the woven sheath on it, so I anticipate it will last a while. I had to provide my own USB-C to USB-C cable though for my Mac, and I noticed that the edge around the connection to the keyboard is very narrow, so it won’t accommodate many third party cables that have large housings around the ends. It has two space bar key caps, one that’s solid with a small opaque line and one with a grid/mesh of opaque triangles that show off the RGB effects you choose. The font on the keys are bold and easy to see, and there is a decent amount of bleed underneath to see the effects as well. This is a solid keyboard, with a couple of very minor shortcomings for me, but overall I will enjoy gaming with this, especially when I’m away from home as it’s a great size for travel.

Another Hit!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Corsair K65 Pro Mini RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with RGB LED, equipped with OPX switches, is a compelling offering for gamers seeking a compact yet powerful keyboard. Corsair's reputation for delivering high-quality gaming peripherals is well-established, and the K65 Pro Mini continues this tradition with its feature-packed design and impressive performance. As an avid gamer, I've put the keyboard through its paces to assess its strengths and weaknesses. Here's my comprehensive review: Design and Build: The K65 Pro Mini's design strikes an ideal balance between minimalism and functionality. Its compact tenkeyless layout saves desk space, making it ideal for gamers with limited real estate. The brushed aluminum top plate imparts a premium feel while ensuring durability. The detachable braided USB-C cable is a thoughtful inclusion for portability. The keycaps, made of double-shot PBT plastic, feel robust and are resistant to wear and tear. Additionally, the keyboard features RGB LED lighting with endless customization options, enabling users to create their personalized gaming setup. OPX Switches: One of the highlights of the K65 Pro Mini is its OPX mechanical switches, developed in collaboration with Cherry. These switches boast an actuation point of just 1.0mm, making them incredibly responsive and perfect for rapid key presses. Gaming on the OPX switches feels smooth and effortless, providing an advantage in fast-paced titles where split-second reactions matter. While these switches are primarily geared towards gamers, they are also well-suited for typing tasks, providing a satisfying tactile feel without being too loud. Performance: During intense gaming sessions, the Corsair K65 Pro Mini excels with its reliable performance. The combination of low actuation force and swift response of the OPX switches significantly reduces input lag, ensuring a seamless gaming experience. Moreover, the anti-ghosting and full-key rollover features effectively prevent input conflicts, giving gamers an edge when executing complex commands. N-key rollover over USB further enhances its responsiveness and accuracy. Corsair iCUE Software: The Corsair iCUE software, used to customize RGB lighting and macros, remains one of the most user-friendly and feature-rich configurations in the market. The intuitive interface allows users to create complex lighting patterns, synchronize with other Corsair devices, and program macros with ease. The software also offers cloud sync, allowing users to save their profiles and lighting setups for use across multiple systems. Minor Drawbacks: While the Corsair K65 Pro Mini is undoubtedly an outstanding gaming keyboard, there are a few minor drawbacks worth mentioning. First, the absence of a wrist rest may be uncomfortable during prolonged gaming or typing sessions. Second, the compact layout might take some getting used to for those accustomed to full-sized keyboards. Finally, the price tag might be a bit steep for budget-conscious gamers, but the quality and performance justify the investment. Conclusion: In conclusion, the Corsair K65 Pro Mini RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with OPX switches is a standout performer in the compact keyboard category. Its premium build, lightning-fast OPX switches, and customizable RGB lighting make it an excellent choice for gamers seeking top-tier peripherals. Despite a few minor drawbacks, its exceptional performance and reliability make it a worthy addition to any gaming setup. If you are willing to invest in a high-quality compact keyboard, the Corsair K65 Pro Mini RGB OPX won't disappoint.

Small keyboard, good quality, fast response
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Corsair K65 Pro Mini 65% optical Gaming Keyboard Solid build with an Aluminum, anodized black finish chassis using Corsairs OPX optical switches and a USB 3.0 Type A connection which has a report rate of up to 8,000Hz hyper polling rate resulting in fast response times. The Keycaps are PBT double -shot keycap set of 1.5mm thickness with a backlight. The 65% size results in 12.4(L) x 4.15(W) x 1.41(H) inch dimensions while still having a comfortable key spacing feel. Using the iCue software you can set up tot 50 custom profiles, RGB designs and macro keys. Button smasher games will take advantage of the quick polling and the key feel plus. There is a noticeable difference in the response of the key clicks over a traditional Cherry key gaming keyboard. While the footprint is small it never seemed too small and was comfortable to use. Unfortunately for me a 65% keyboard is still lacking some of the keys I use in several of my games where I could use separate numeric and function keys to program all the stuff I use. Though the keyboard is quite its acoustics are not quite up to the two-layer dampening hype. The sound is not off putting. The overall quality and workmanship are very good. You get an additional space-bar keycap but no keycap puller. The RGB lighting is highly customizable and is pleasant and not overpowering. Though it would be nice if it didn’t go to default rainbow mode when the computer goes to sleep or go to turn the lights off which would be preferable to my usage. I really like the Corsair OPX switchers, the Axon Hyper-processing tech and onboard memory and PBT keycaps. If the keyboard layout meets your needs this is one quick good working keyboard.

Premium Gaming Performance in a Small Package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The K65 Pro Mini is all about economy of space, featuring a 65% keyboard layout that trims the fat while still giving you all the essentials. Combined with the usual wealth of Corsair features, this looks to be one of the best mini layout keyboards on the market. I'll start by listing my favorite features of this board. There's a lot to like here, but these are the board's strongest points . -The optical switches are absolutely phenomenal. They're quiet but provide a nice tactile feel for typing. Travel distance is EXCEPTIONALLY short, though. After about a week with the K65, I'm finally to the point where I don't randomly insert characters while trying. -The lighting is what you'd expect from a Corsair keyboard. That is to say, top notch. The effects and color scenes are fully customizable in about every way you could imagine. One large plus to using iCue is that you can integrate with Hue lights. In my case, this has allowed me to tie lighting for my gaming rig with my entire office lighting. It's been nothing short of a game changer for me. -This keyboard's fn function features are unexpectedly great. You have the usuals here to control lighting, etc. However, there are function buttons to mimic mouse input, for instance. I haven't specifically find a use for this yet, but it's nice to have the option. There's very little to discuss here in terms of what I didn't like. The actuation point being ultra quick makes this keyboard a potential challenge for typing (or in my case software development) until you've had a chance to get a feel for it. This is one area that my prior keyboard, the steel series Apex pro, really knocked it out of the park with user adjustable actuation point. Overall, I highly recommend this board. It strikes an amazing balance between feature sets and compact operation.

The little keyboard that could
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Corsair K65 Mini Pro Gaming Keyboard adds portability with a bit of flair. Upon unboxing the Corsair K65 Mini Pro keyboard, you are greeted with an instruction booklet first then underneath the flap you will find the keyboard. The mini keyboard does have some heft to it. It is surprisingly heavy for its size. You will instantly notice the quality that Corsair put into this device. The keyboard layout lends to quick key response with a satisfying mechanical like click. Included in the box is a replacement spacebar key that has the Corsair design on it if you are so inclined to spice up the look of your keyboard. The RGB lighting is bright and vibrant and is easily configured with different lighting effects. There is also a 3 Meter USB-A- to USB-C cable to connect the keyboard to all your favorite devices. Overall, the Corsair K65 Pro mini keyboard is a great portable device that will provide many hours of gaming without compromising desk space and is very comfortable to have on your lap. Final thought, if you have larger than normal size hands the keyboard will feel cramped and is not comfortable for extended gaming sessions.

K65 Pro Mini Gaming Keyboard is good
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.K65 Pro Mini Gaming Keyboard is a good keyboard Build Quality - Hardware is very good. Keys are very easy to press and accuracy in typing and pressing keys during play is mostly good. Build quality is really good. Gaming is really good, Performance. I have used it with my pc and it is very responsive to gaming. Typing on the keyboard feels natural and for the most part is accurate. Lights. The lights on the keyboard definitely adds alot of flavor to the playing. Especially when the room is dark. Keys - They keys on the keyboard are springy but sometimes the keys duplicate letters. I tried with two different laptops but still found them both to do the same. For the most part the keys type as expected but sometimes I have to back characters out of my work. Stability and Weight - The keyboard is very good, can be used on your lap or on a table/desk without issues. I have used it both ways, on my lap and on my desk. Has a bit of a raise at the top with two short legs, so it definitely gives a good feel when typing. Overall the keyboard is really nice and definitely a fun way to get into gaming and typing in general.

Mini in size not in function
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Corsair K65 Pro mini RGB Optical mechanical gaming keyboard is an ultra portable full functioned gaming keyboard that allows you to travel with your gaming setup. I was able to use this keyboard with my ROG gaming laptop and monitor. Its great to have the option of using this keyboard rather than a laptop keyboard so i can have a little more space on my gaming setup. I also used the keyboard for work and found it quite comfortable to work with. The build quality is great and the brushed aluminum cap exudes high quality. The sound dampening used on this keyboard is great as it would be extremely annoying if the clicking was not dampened during gaming. I also appreciate that the USB cable Corsair created a great pro mini keyboard that is better in some ways than many full sized gaming keyboards. A few things that would have made it better overall in my opinion is ,if they included a USB A to USB C adapter, included some wireless connectivity with a battery to make it a little more portable and improved the customization software a little. Again these are just a few things on my wish list but I would hands down suggest this keyboard to anyone in the market for one
