Small keyboard, good quality, fast response
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Corsair K65 Pro Mini 65% optical Gaming Keyboard Solid build with an Aluminum, anodized black finish chassis using Corsairs OPX optical switches and a USB 3.0 Type A connection which has a report rate of up to 8,000Hz hyper polling rate resulting in fast response times. The Keycaps are PBT double -shot keycap set of 1.5mm thickness with a backlight. The 65% size results in 12.4(L) x 4.15(W) x 1.41(H) inch dimensions while still having a comfortable key spacing feel. Using the iCue software you can set up tot 50 custom profiles, RGB designs and macro keys. Button smasher games will take advantage of the quick polling and the key feel plus. There is a noticeable difference in the response of the key clicks over a traditional Cherry key gaming keyboard. While the footprint is small it never seemed too small and was comfortable to use. Unfortunately for me a 65% keyboard is still lacking some of the keys I use in several of my games where I could use separate numeric and function keys to program all the stuff I use. Though the keyboard is quite its acoustics are not quite up to the two-layer dampening hype. The sound is not off putting. The overall quality and workmanship are very good. You get an additional space-bar keycap but no keycap puller. The RGB lighting is highly customizable and is pleasant and not overpowering. Though it would be nice if it didn’t go to default rainbow mode when the computer goes to sleep or go to turn the lights off which would be preferable to my usage. I really like the Corsair OPX switchers, the Axon Hyper-processing tech and onboard memory and PBT keycaps. If the keyboard layout meets your needs this is one quick good working keyboard.

Premium Gaming Performance in a Small Package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The K65 Pro Mini is all about economy of space, featuring a 65% keyboard layout that trims the fat while still giving you all the essentials. Combined with the usual wealth of Corsair features, this looks to be one of the best mini layout keyboards on the market. I'll start by listing my favorite features of this board. There's a lot to like here, but these are the board's strongest points . -The optical switches are absolutely phenomenal. They're quiet but provide a nice tactile feel for typing. Travel distance is EXCEPTIONALLY short, though. After about a week with the K65, I'm finally to the point where I don't randomly insert characters while trying. -The lighting is what you'd expect from a Corsair keyboard. That is to say, top notch. The effects and color scenes are fully customizable in about every way you could imagine. One large plus to using iCue is that you can integrate with Hue lights. In my case, this has allowed me to tie lighting for my gaming rig with my entire office lighting. It's been nothing short of a game changer for me. -This keyboard's fn function features are unexpectedly great. You have the usuals here to control lighting, etc. However, there are function buttons to mimic mouse input, for instance. I haven't specifically find a use for this yet, but it's nice to have the option. There's very little to discuss here in terms of what I didn't like. The actuation point being ultra quick makes this keyboard a potential challenge for typing (or in my case software development) until you've had a chance to get a feel for it. This is one area that my prior keyboard, the steel series Apex pro, really knocked it out of the park with user adjustable actuation point. Overall, I highly recommend this board. It strikes an amazing balance between feature sets and compact operation.

The little keyboard that could
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Corsair K65 Mini Pro Gaming Keyboard adds portability with a bit of flair. Upon unboxing the Corsair K65 Mini Pro keyboard, you are greeted with an instruction booklet first then underneath the flap you will find the keyboard. The mini keyboard does have some heft to it. It is surprisingly heavy for its size. You will instantly notice the quality that Corsair put into this device. The keyboard layout lends to quick key response with a satisfying mechanical like click. Included in the box is a replacement spacebar key that has the Corsair design on it if you are so inclined to spice up the look of your keyboard. The RGB lighting is bright and vibrant and is easily configured with different lighting effects. There is also a 3 Meter USB-A- to USB-C cable to connect the keyboard to all your favorite devices. Overall, the Corsair K65 Pro mini keyboard is a great portable device that will provide many hours of gaming without compromising desk space and is very comfortable to have on your lap. Final thought, if you have larger than normal size hands the keyboard will feel cramped and is not comfortable for extended gaming sessions.

K65 Pro Mini Gaming Keyboard is good
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.K65 Pro Mini Gaming Keyboard is a good keyboard Build Quality - Hardware is very good. Keys are very easy to press and accuracy in typing and pressing keys during play is mostly good. Build quality is really good. Gaming is really good, Performance. I have used it with my pc and it is very responsive to gaming. Typing on the keyboard feels natural and for the most part is accurate. Lights. The lights on the keyboard definitely adds alot of flavor to the playing. Especially when the room is dark. Keys - They keys on the keyboard are springy but sometimes the keys duplicate letters. I tried with two different laptops but still found them both to do the same. For the most part the keys type as expected but sometimes I have to back characters out of my work. Stability and Weight - The keyboard is very good, can be used on your lap or on a table/desk without issues. I have used it both ways, on my lap and on my desk. Has a bit of a raise at the top with two short legs, so it definitely gives a good feel when typing. Overall the keyboard is really nice and definitely a fun way to get into gaming and typing in general.

Mini in size not in function
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Corsair K65 Pro mini RGB Optical mechanical gaming keyboard is an ultra portable full functioned gaming keyboard that allows you to travel with your gaming setup. I was able to use this keyboard with my ROG gaming laptop and monitor. Its great to have the option of using this keyboard rather than a laptop keyboard so i can have a little more space on my gaming setup. I also used the keyboard for work and found it quite comfortable to work with. The build quality is great and the brushed aluminum cap exudes high quality. The sound dampening used on this keyboard is great as it would be extremely annoying if the clicking was not dampened during gaming. I also appreciate that the USB cable Corsair created a great pro mini keyboard that is better in some ways than many full sized gaming keyboards. A few things that would have made it better overall in my opinion is ,if they included a USB A to USB C adapter, included some wireless connectivity with a battery to make it a little more portable and improved the customization software a little. Again these are just a few things on my wish list but I would hands down suggest this keyboard to anyone in the market for one

Durable and real charming keyboard. A space saver
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was at first a little iffy about this product since I am not a gamer. the keyboard is shorter than the standard keyboard. It has been operated without incident for a year now and getting used to it was easy It is, by all means, a good replacement for my 40-year-old keyboard, for which I keep buying PS/2 conversions to continue its work. There is a level of durability with this keyboard. It is also an old-fashioned clicking keyboard and gathers very little dust between the keys It's RGB feature lights up my experience even if I'm not tapping away on keys to make games operate very fast I still haven't mastered all its intricate features, like macros and clever shortcuts, but since I came out of the dos age into the Windows age, I like its durability, speed, reliability and space-saving. Colorful presence. A real charmer.

Way too sensitive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard was way too sensitive for me. It comes with linear OPX switches which are like MX Speed Silver. These switches have a very low actuation distance, so even resting your finger on a key could trigger it. If this were hot-swappable to non-optical switches I'd at least be able to get other switches but this board is not.
