    Noise Damping! It's about time!

The Corsair K70 Core TDK keyboard is a fantastic keyboard with excellent response, comfortable typing, A+ RGB lighting and configuration, and loaded with functionality like Bluetooth, 2.4 Ghz Slipstream low latency connectivity with included USB receiver, and onboard for up to 5 customer lighting profiles. The K70 Core TDK is quieter than previous Corsair, and mechanical gaming keyboards in general, thanks to two layers of noise damping material suppressing the clicks and pings often associated with mechanical keys. The keyboard is compatible with any Windows computer regardless if you are using Corsair’s iCUE software or not. Setup: The K70 Core TDK is ready to run straight out of the box. The K70 can connect via USB with the included cable, connect wirelessly over Bluetooth (up to 3 separate sync partners), and wirelessly over Corsair’s Slipstream using the 2.4Ghz USB transmitter (included). Compatible systems include Mac OS, Android, Xbox, and Playstation. For my system, Windows automatically recognized the K70 Core and allowed it to operate like any other attached keyboard. I easily connected this wirelessly over Bluetooth to my work laptop, wired and Slipstream to my gaming desktop, and via Slipstream to my Alienware gaming laptop. I downloaded the latest version of iCUE from Corsair on my Windows gaming desktop so that I could update the firmware of the K70 and the USB adapter. The latest software also supports the K70 Core. All of my pre-existing Corsair gaming profiles, RGB, configurations, etc… from previous Corsair keyboards loaded find and were fully compatible with the K70 Core. Profiles: I have several pre-existing gaming profiles as well as several theme profiles I downloaded from Corsair’s website that are all compatible with the K70. My personal profiles include Type Lightening with a static backlight, Christmas Tree lighting effects, an Infernal Flames theme, Mechwarrior, Diablo 4, Fortnight, and several others. All of these profiles are three or more years old at this point. The K70 Core worked with them all. I really appreciate Corsair offering improvements to iCUE and their hardware ecosystem while maintaining generational compatibility. I cannot overstate enough how refreshing it is to see a company offer such longevity for their platform. It really makes moving from one generation of products to the next a no brainer for me. Typing and Gaming: I spent about a week gaming and working with this keyboard. For gaming, the keyboard is very responsive. Not once did I feel as if there was any input lag between key depression and screen response. The pre-lubricated MLX Red v2 linear mechanical switches are very smooth and easy to depress for both gaming and all day typing. For comparison, I own an older Corsair keyboard, K65 from years ago, with non-lubricated Cherry Red keys. Both the K70 Core and older K65 keys require 45 grams of force to depress. I can definitely feel the improvements that the lubrication makes. Keys are easier to depress, smoother on the down stroke and up stroke, and help to reduce typing fatigue over longer typing and gaming sessions. Speaking of fatigue, the K70 comes with a matching wrist rest. The wrist rest provide good support, comfortable, magnetically attaches to the keyboard, and looks attractive. The wrist rest surface is parallel with the table top. Meaning the surface of the wrist rest is not sloped at an upward angle from wrist to keyboard surface. Overall, I find this design more comfortable than the angled wrist rests of Corsair keyboards past. Previous Corsair keyboards also had strange connection mechanisms between the wrist rest and keyboard. This could make it awkward when picking up the keyboard or trying to pack it away quickly. The magnets make this process simple and quick. The K70 Core is as easy to game on as it is to type on. The keys have a little side to side play but nothing that impedes the linear actuation of each key. I have several pre-configured gaming profiles setup for my favorite games. These are mostly color coded game specific keys or game functions. The backlighting of the PBT Double shot caps are fantastic. This makes picking out keys in the heat of battle very easy. I work for a living which means I do not have time to memorize every game’s keyboard shortcuts, functions, features, or macros. Color coding the keyboard in glorious RGB lighting is not only incredibly useful to me but it looks amazing when gaming in low light settings. iCUE and iCUE profiles are fully available to the K70 Core when physically connected via USB cable and when connected by 2.4Ghz Slipstream. The test, I created a simple profile of dim red per key backlight with a typing lightening ripple affect that activates with each keystroke. It is a super cool effect. iCUE is not available over Bluetooth. iCUE does have memory for up to five, 20-layer profiles that are accessible when the keyboard does not have access to iCUE. There are also several pre-programed lighting effects programmed into the K70 Core for those times that you do not with to use a custom profile. Finally, Corsair finally made some much needed improvements with their hardware profile editor. It is much easier to use and much easier to move software profile effects to hardware. The caveat is that the hardware profiles can only support 20 layers where iCUE can support many more. To program and upload K70 Hardware profiles you must be connected to the computer via USB cable. The K70 Core TDK has a dedicated gaming mode. There is a special button with a speedometer graphic next to the volume knob. Depressing the Game Mode button will activate RGB red mode, disables the Windows key, all power savings features are disabled, and the keyboard automatically resets to a 1000hz polling rate. This is a high performance, low latency mode. This works wired and wirelessly. I tried it in a few games but had to turn it off because I needed my pre-programmed color profiles to survive my game sessions. However, if you are a high performance gamer, meaning you don’t need the crutch of a keyboard map, then give this a shot. Reducing processing for profiles, non-gaming function keys, and increasing polling rates means the keyboard can exclusively focus on your input without distraction from other non-essential keyboard functions. Noise: Mechanical keyboards loud, and often obnoxious, clicking noises were novel years ago. Today, they are just plain annoying. I am so incredibly happy that Corsair is finally making a serious effort to dampen the noise of their mechanical keyboards. The K70 Core comes with two separate layers of noise damping. The unnecessary noise of high performance keyboards take notice! Your days are numbered. The alphanumeric keys are very well damped. If I were an keyboard audiophile I would describe the sound as dull and uniform across all keys. Which is a good thing. However, the fatter keys like the tab, shift, backspace, and shift keys have a higher pitch and are a bit louder. But not distracting or bothersome. The space bar, however, makes an audible clunk when depressed. I found this distracting as a daily driver for work and, well, writing product reviews. This is not an issue for gaming since I am generally wearing headphones and communicating via voice. The keyboard, in these situations, is limited to keyboard commands. Not the rhythm associated with adding spaces between each word I type. This is also not an issue when I have the music turned up loud. However, it is very distracting when typing on quiet keys in a quiet room; which describes my workday. Final Thoughts: With the exception of the space bar’s audible clunk, I think this is a fantastic keyboard. The size is just right for my desktop space. The keys are stable and easy to depress. RGB is fantastic. Wireless flexibility is great. Corsair improved their hardware profile editing features in iCUE to the point that it is now useable by us common folk. And the addition of wireless connectivity across multiple platforms using either Slipstream or Bluetooth, with the inclusion of a gaming mode, is just icing on the cake. The battery life is rock solid with either RGB on or off. The multi-function knob, which I did not discuss, has some really neat features that are worth checking out. There are several onboard, pre-programed RGB profiles for those who just want a cool looking setup without much effort. Overall, I think it is a great keyboard. If you are looking to get out of the world of super loud keyboards, then you may want to check out the Corsair K70 Core TDK. I hope you found this review helpful.

The Corsair K70 Core TKL Wireless keyboard has been a fantastic addition to my setup. I don't game as much as I type and this keyboard works really well for me as a typist and a gaming keyboard. The build quality is impressive. It feels sturdy and well-made, thanks to an aluminum frame. I love that it has a compact tenkeyless design, which saves desk space while still giving me all the essential keys I need for gaming. I don’t do much with spreadsheets or numbers so that works out really well for me. The detachable wrist rest is a nice touch, providing extra comfort during those long typing sessions. The wireless is a game-changer for me. I was worried about potential lag, but it’s been incredibly responsive. Switching between wired and wireless modes is seamless, which is great when I want to charge it up without interrupting my gameplay. I didn’t notice any latency even when I was using a typing speed game online. None of the keys had any hesitation when I tested them. Now let’s talk about the switches. The K70 Core uses Corsair's MLX Red linear switches, and they feel pretty darn good! If you don't know what “red” switches are, they are non-clicky with little resistance all the way to the key bottom. There isn’t any click feel and they are smooth throughout the entire keypress motion. Whether I’m gaming or working on documents, I appreciate how responsive they are so I can get a dozen more words a minute by forcing myself to not depress the key as far. The customizable RGB lighting is another highlight; it’s vibrant and easy to set up through the iCUE software but I’m not an RGB fan so it was easy enough for me to turn it off. The key text isn’t so “gamer,” so you could easily use this keyboard in an office setting. The keycaps are not so premium. I probably will switch them out for some double shot keys from a custom keyboard brand. Overall, the Corsair K70 Core TKL Wireless has exceeded my expectations. It’s comfortable, responsive, and looks pretty good. I’m stoked that they made a tenkeyless version of the Core keyboard, and I’m sure it’ll be pretty popular. If you’re in the market for a reliable wireless keyboard that performs well for both gaming and everyday use, I highly recommend giving this one a try!

I wish I was joking when I say this, but the truth is that my favorite feature of this keyboard is the wrist pad that it comes with. With a keyboard this thick with keys so large, having a solid palm rest is critical to long use sessions and Corsair provides a remarkably comfortable palm rest. An added bonus is the small magnetic grip that the palm rest uses to stay in place and alined with the keyboard. I’d buy this thing just for the palm rest! The keyboard itself is smooth and responsive to the touch and I enjoy the mechanical clicks and clacks as I type reminiscent of my 6th grade type-writing class, though softer thanks to the dual-layer sound dampening. Tenkeyless. What a great word. I’ve been walking around all day asking people if they have used a Tenkeyless. Most are perplexed by the word.I had to look up its meaning and I think I’ve found my new perfect keyboard size. The word describes a full-size keyboard layout without the number pad, typically referring to having 87 or 88 keys. Love it. Other attributes of the keyboard is the ability to toggle between USB-C connected, Wifi or Bluetooth based on the type of device you are connecting with. The keyboard supports all manner of different platforms. I’m not sure why I would want to connect a keyboard to an Xbox or a Playstation but with this keyboard you can. I’m still old school in my belief that Consoles get Controllers and computers get keyboards. I have not had enough time with the keyboard to understand the value of pre-lubed linear switches and I hope that’s something that will become evident a year from now after heavy use with the thing. This is definitely my primary keyboard for the foreseeable future, you should check it out!

The K70 Core TKL offers an excellent typing experience! The switches are super responsive, allowing you to easily keep up with fast typing speeds, whether you're drafting an email or involved in extensive coding sessions. There are handy knobs situated at the top right, just above the insert keys, that let you quickly adjust the computer volume and keyboard lighting. This means you won't have to mess with software settings, making it super convenient for on-the-fly adjustments during work or gaming sessions. One of the best parts about this keyboard? It's surprisingly quiet, so it won't disturb you or those around you while you work or enjoy some late-night gaming. It’s comfortable to use, thanks in part to its ergonomic design, which ensures that your fingers glide effortlessly across the keys. The responsiveness of the keys is perfect for both casual users and professional typists alike. On the flip side, there’s no number pad, which might be a downside for some users, especially those who frequently input numerical data. However, if you're after a compact 60% keyboard, which is great for saving desk space and enhancing portability, this one's a fantastic pick. It's particularly suitable for those who prefer a minimalist setup. Additionally, the magnetic wrist rest is a fantastic extra feature, especially for those long hours spent at the computer. It offers much-needed support and comfort, reducing the strain on your wrists and allowing you to work or play for extended periods without discomfort. This thoughtful addition ensures that you can maintain productivity or gaming performance without sacrificing comfort.

WOW! I have been wanting a wireless gaming keyboard and this is exactly what I was looking for. This is a great gaming keyboard with its low latency and high polling rate options. The keycaps feel amazing with just the right amount of rough texture to provide feedback. Bonus this also offers a hot swappable circuit board allowing you to swap out the switches without the need for soldering. It comes with two layers of sound dampening to create a great feel and experience (no loud clickety clack of the keys). The multi function dial and programmable keys are a great design. That really add to the experience and puts the media control at your fingertips. In the box is also a cushioned wrist rest that connects magnetically to the keyboard so it wont move around while you are playing. LOVE THIS. This is a compact keyboard that does not have the 10 key side car but that is okay for my needs. I like the space saving design and do not need the 10 key on the side. Included is a dongle so you can connect to any PC right away, or you can connect up to 3 bluetooth devices and you can connect to your PS4/5 as well. AWESOME!!!!! I really like how this has improved my gaming experience and I really enjoy not having a cable connecting me to the computer. The RGB lighting and customization is really cool and makes for an even better gaming experience. You can set the ambiance for the type of game you are playing. This is by far my favorite gaming keyboard.

My first one did have some issues however Corsair was quick to help with getting a replacement out. Once I did get the replacement, I was finally able to setup and use the Keyboard. I've been doing so for the last week or so and it's been fantastic. I've been using standard 104 Key keyboards for some time now and within the last year or so started using TKL/60% keyboards. The K70 Core TKL has so far impressed. I was using another competitor's 65% keyboard and was constantly having issues with typing. I would frequently type extra characters or swipe other keys. Since moving to the Corsair, these issues have vanished. I like the switches in this keyboard. They're not clacky and are relatively quiet when typing. I do miss the traditional Media Keys such as like on the K100 Air which I use for work, I would prefer a rocker over the knob though. The 2000hz Polling Rate you get when using Slipstream Is welcome, though I'm not quite certain why this isn't possible over USB, despite the Wireless adapter plugging into a standard USB-A Port so there's clearly not a bandwidth limitation, unless the polling to the Slipstream dongle is 2000 and then it's only 1000hz from the Dongle to the OS. I've not noticed or experienced any latency with the keyboard with typing or playing games. When it does go to sleep, I've noticed it takes several seconds for it to wake up, but once it is perfect. As for iCUE, this will always be hit or miss. I've never been a fan of it even dating back 4 or 5 years ago. Not much has really changed with its performance, it still eats up resources like they're going out of style. The only issue I did encounter with it is the Murals. If I enable that, I start to get immense system instability. I'm not entirely certain what causes it, but the system can slow to a crawl, or iCUE can stop responding. I've even had it result in blue screens or system hangs. Once it's disabled, all the issues disappear. This could be addressed in a future update though that's a wait and see situation. I also appreciate the inclusion of a wrist rest. It's does have a nice quality feel to it. I believe it's PU Leather that's perforated so it can breathe not get sweaty with extended use. It's also not too firm to make it uncomfortable. It's also magnetic so it attaches to the keyboard. Overall, the keyboard is great. I like the compactness of it while still retaining all the standard keys one needs. Outside of my work, I very rarely ever need the 10-Key and even then, it's usually out of convenience. If you're looking for a compact option that's easy to pack up and take with you on the go, this will certainly fill that need.

The Corsair K70 Core TKL Wireless is a solid choice for those wanting to cut the cord and clutter on your desk, and also for those who have moved gaming to your living room. Powered by Corsair's iCue software technology, you're allowed a huge amount of customization, from per-key lighting to the performance of the keyboard itself. A dedicated game mode button is handy for those who want to quickly turn off RGB animations and turn on the performance features, and the Corsair MLX V2 switches are some of the best - and quietest - linear switches I've ever used. Unboxing and setup: This is packaged well, very presentation-like in how the box is done. The keyboard itself comes with the wireless received and a USB-A to USB-C data/charge cable. You'll also find basic instructions and warranty/legal literature in the box. Setup and use: You don't have to install iCue if you don't want to. I only have iCue because I already have more items in the Corsair ecosystem in my computer. iCue is iCue and I'm not allowing it to change the rating of the keyboard hardware, but certain setups will have more problems with iCue than others. If you're going to use this keyboard wirelessly, I suggest plugging the receiver into a USB port not directly by your Wi-Fi antennas for the computer. If you're doing a living room setup, use the front or top USB ports to help with signals with the receiver. This keyboard can also be wired. Just connect the USB cable between the laptop and your computer, and you're good to go. Both the wired and Corsair Slipstream wireless support 1000Hz polling. Where the typical keyboard checks for keypresses between 125 and 250 times per second, Corsair gives you the option for up to 1000 checks per second. Finally, Bluetooth connectivity is an option. While Bluetooth doesn't support the faster gaming modes available, like 1000Hz polling, it's still a perfectly usable keyboard in this regard and I notice almost no difference in performance. You can also pair with up to 3 different Bluetooth devices, so it's the one keyboard that can rule your phone, your tablet, and your laptop along with your PC. The included wrist rest is a very nice touch. While I prefer to play games on the couch these days, I did try the keyboard at a desk and found the wrist wrest made the keyboard so much more comfortable to use that way. What didn't I like? The lack of a USB-C to USB-C cable included in the package. If I wanted to use this keyboard wired with my laptop or tablet, I had to get a dongle for that connection. For what the keyboard cost, this should have been standard (or a USB-A to USB-C adapter and a USB-C to USB-C cable for that matter). All in all, though, the Corsair K70 Core TKL WiFi is the best keyboard, period, I've tested in a while. While I'm still a bigger fan of clicky keys, this is already proving to be a great option for my living room.

This new version of the Corsair K70 Core TKL Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is sleek and smooth. The design is minimalistic being tenkeyless, making for ease of use both with a computer or if using with a console the size is lap friendly and easily put off to the side if needed. The keys use Corsair MLX Red linear switches which are smooth, easily pressed with minimal effort with subtle sound to allow for the click to be heard/registered but rather light and not over powering. This allows for a beautiful tactile response but not overstimulation with sound which my wife greatly appreciates. The keyboard can connect either by USB connection (which allows it to charge), wireless to device with USB dongle or Bluetooth. I personally have chosen to leave my USB connected to not have to worry about charge with the computer, but the USB dongle and Bluetooth allow for pairing with either XBOX One/X/S or PS4/5. Wireless connection with USB or Bluetooth. The dongle has a holder spot in the back of the keyboard so that it does not get lost when not in use. A newer feature to this model is the right corner dial. This can be togged through functionality using FnF12 and a few different features can be set. I have gone with volume, RGB lighting and zoom. I enjoy having the dial as it is a nice touch and quick to use. Beside the dial is a Game Mode button that activates a gaming mode that can have locking features set (for instance Microsoft button off or Alt F4) which are customizable through the iCUE software. There is also a iCUE symbol button that can be macro'd if desired. Being a wireless keyboard allows for versatility in use along with easy of positioning and decreased wire burden; and a feature of this is being able to be charged and having a battery life which means there needs to be a battery indicator. Corsair has chosen to use the enter key as the indicator for battery life. This means that the RBG light for the enter key shows either red, amber, green to denote battery life at different stages. To show this FN+Enter will display. I personally wonder why there could not have been a separate indicator light versus the key itself, but this seems to be the style of Corsair, which I can respect. Speaking of lights, the RBG colors are beautiful with dark purples, bright orange, yellows and all colors in between which are sometimes lost with cheaper LEDs. Brightness level is also robust. The K70 keyboard uses CORSAIR iCUE software for customization. The software is easily obtained via their website. After installation, I found that I had to reboot the iCUE software once to get it to recognize the keyboard, which then easily installed firmware upon my approval. The keyboard has a Hardware Mode and a iCUE Software Mode that will active if iCUE is active/running on a computer and keyboard is wire connected. FN+ various number keys allows for cycling through default hardware lighting without need for iCUE. FN+F2 allows switching through preset profiles when in Device memory mode which can be customized through iCUE with great options of lighting, key mapping, control dial and performance options. I love having the device memory mode, because it allows for customization to be set up and used with any other device. Macros included. The biggest complaint I have for the keyboard is the battery life indication being the enter key, which if that is my biggest complaint they have done something right. This K70 is compact, lightweight and smooth. In addition to the keyboard there is also a soft wrist wrest included that allows for hours of comfortable, non-carpal tunnel inducing gaming. Very happy with this versatile device.

This keyboard exceeded my expectations. I've had some fun RGB backlit keyboards before and had a laptop that had some RGB built into it that was fun to play around with. What really set this keyboard apart for me was the look/feel of the keys and the perfect keyboard click sound. I fell down a rabbit hole on tiktok with 'creamy' keyboards and the different sounds you can get with the swappable switches etc. but knew that wasn't something I was confident in building or really knew enough about to dig into to purchase my own. This keyboard sounds more like the 'creamy' keyboard instead of the very mechanical click or the typical laptop style clicking. These keys respond well for gaming and made typing comfortable. The sound is super pleasing to the ears and the added wrist rest that easily attaches and detaches with magnets was a bonus. I love that I can easily swap it between my laptop and my desktop as needed. The lights on this keyboard are beautiful too. I like to keep it cycling through the different colors and effects and this keyboard does that flawlessly. It's silly but it's a joy to use between the sound and the light show it provides. I've even tried it out on my work computer for typing all day and this performs as well and as comfortably as the ergo keyboard I normally use. This keyboard is sleek and solid/sturdy feeling without being too heavy that you wouldn't want to travel with it if you pair it with a laptop etc. I can't recommend this enough honestly.

I've spent the last few days using this keyboard, both on my gaming rig and on my laptop. It's wireless bluetooth connectivity makes it easy to connect and no tiresome wires to get in the way. The keys are of the Red variety and the unit employs sound dampening technology as well as the keys being pre-lubricated. This makes for a rather reduced noise level from other mechanical keyboards, but still being slightly louder than a membrane keyboard. Any amount of noise though is enough to make up for the smooth typing experience you get while clicking away on this unit. The RGB lighting is fantastic - yes, it does reduce your battery life when turned on - but for gaming or use in a dark room it's worth any reduction in battery life. RGB is per-key customizable via the Corsair icue software, allowing you to adjust color, hue, and brightness of each key. The volume knob is something that I can't live without anymore. It completely eliminates the need to adjust the volume via slider in Windows - just turn it like the knob on your stereo to raise/lower the audio levels. Definitely a recommended product - Corsair is the brand I keep coming back to!

The TKL K70 is an excellent choice for gamers and typists. The rare combination of both good tactile responsiveness for gaming, along with the wireless flexibility and ergonomics (as well as smooth typing feel) makes this an ideal keyboard for gamers looking for a speed advantage and smooth keypress without the noise of other similar mechanicals, but it does lack the color customizations of the control zones that some more expensive models offer, and the lack of a numeric keypad will be a dealbreaker for some, for others, an advantage of compact storage/desk layout. I used the device mated to my Zephyrus G14 laptop in its cooling stand, and loved the additional control I felt when in shooters that took advantage of descrete differences in my tapping, but found the inability (or at least the OBVIOUS inability if its somewhere in software) to color the key zones for WASD, QWER, and the arrow keys differently than the rest of the board a disadvantage from similarly priced boards when using the keyboard like a big controller alongside my mouse. The board more than made up for it in smooth, quiet key travel and sturdy feel. The control knob on top has a nice rubberized feel and excellent tactile stops, and after days straight of use gaming and working, I don't think this keyboard will get worn down too easily and seems to be made of some quality plastics that wont get shiny and gross if cared for well. All in all, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a compact solution, as long as color customization is just a novelty to you.

Specs This is a Corsair product that I’ve really enjoyed using, even though it can be a little tough to figure out all of the features. This keyboard is wireless with a compact tenkeyless layout that saves space on your desk. With cool features like pre-lubricated linear switch keys for smooth gaming, a strong RGB backlighting system, double sound dampening layers, several different modes, and a customizable multifunction dial. This is the first keyboard I’ve had that has a wrist cushion for support, which I was excited to try due to carpal tunnel in my wrists. Pros I of course love anything wireless, and the size keeps more desk space free for other things. The keys are pre-lubricated linear switch keys for wobble-free keystrokes. Made with two layers of special foam, keystroke sound is dampened significantly. One feature I particularly enjoy is game mode, which when activated, turns off nonessential settings to reduce potential lag. This keyboard is also compatible with consoles including both Xbox and Playstation. The wrist cushion is so nice to have and I can’t believe this is the first keyboard I’ve had with one. It’s magnetic and therefore detachable, making for easy cleaning. Cons At 100% brightness, the RGB lighting significantly decreases battery life to roughly 40 hours compared to 2400 hours when used only in BT mode. It also takes up to five hours to charge, and for someone who regularly forgets to plug in their electronics, this can be a problem. Although I can combat this by turning off nonessential lighting or turning down brightness, I wish the battery lasted a little longer. I also with the keyboard felt a little sturdier, but I know that would compromise on other features, so I try not to be as rough on this one. Conclusion I would recommend this keyboard for gamers at any stage, amateur to professional. It has just enough features to distinguish it from many others, but not enough that it detracts from use.

    Buttery Smooth, Inconsistently "Wireless"

I have used wireless products (mouse and headset) for a while now but this is my first experience with a wireless keyboard, at least at this level of performance. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but have been pleasantly surprised at almost every step along the way. However, there is one glaring issue that I could not overlook in my testing - the wireless connectivity. Positives: Build Quality - As someone who has tried a number of different prebuilt keyboards (never custom build) this one feels the most premium. All of the buzz words (double layer insulation, prelubed switches) are more than just fluff. The acoustics and tacticle feedback of the typing experience on this board is phenomenal. As someone who moves his keyboard around a lot, the wireless aspect is nice. At first, I was skeptical on the magnetic wrist rest (due to moving my keyboard around alot) but it has actually been really nice to be able to position away from the keyboard if needed. iCue - The customization offered with iCue is really great. The individual key LEDs and various profiles are perfect for those who want to be fully in charge of their peripherals. Cons: Really only have one "con" but it is a pretty big one. The wireless connectivity is terribly inconsistent. I don't know if this is a factor of the hardware (only a tiny USB emitter) or what but I tried both the front and back USB ports on my PC and had the same results. Simply put: this keyboard will randomly disconnect completely. I mentioned above that I move my keyboard a bit, but this disconnection has occurred when the keyboard has been completely stationary. The solution to this is simple: plug in the keyboard. However, that seems to defeat the point of the extra $50 you spend for it to be wireless. Ultimately this is a wonderful keyboard that I will continue to use as my primary. I would recommend it but would so so with caution for someone who truly wants/ needs a wireless experience.

This review is on a K70 Core TKL Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. I have been waiting to get a wireless RGB keyboard and this is exactly what I wanted. Keystrokes are smooth, light and quiet with the pre-lubricated linear switches. There is a dampened sound when pressing and it is not annoying. The battery is built in so charging is done by USB-C. Keyboard is a little heavy that I assume is from the battery. Charges in about 5 hours and lasts a very long time. From 40 hours to 2400 hours. RGB's are ultra bright and brightness can be controlled by dial. Activating Game Mode is easy and reduces input lag. Keycaps are supposed to be tough and not crack under pressure. Their logo is on the back of the keyboard and has a nice design. There is a toggle switch to put it in bluetooth, wired or wireless mode. The palm rest is magnetic and holds to the keyboard nicely but not too strong that it can't be removed. It also has a sharp diamond design in the palm rest. You can use the iCue software to load custom settings. One great feature is that the keyboard doesn't even have to be connected to anything and you can setup different lighting effects that you can control just by the keyboard itself.

amazing keyboard with the best typing experience. Not so loud when type. Great for gaming and daily use. Though the ICUE software a bit confusing and switching between modes kinda bad in my experience but overall a really great keyboard.

I have my gaming PC hooked up to my living room TV, and as a result, I need to use wireless keyboards. The previous one I used - a Redragon branded one - worked well, except that the signal would sporadically be interrupted by whatever. I got this with the hopes that it would be a step up, and it ended up being the nicest keyboard I've ever used. There are, however, some issue, which I'll get into in a moment. Feel/build quality: This keyboard feels premium. The keys are thick, with a pleasant texture finish on the surface. The keyboard itself is mostly plastic, but it's thick and sturdy as well, with little flex when you bend it. The wrist rest is soft but not plushy - your wrists sink a small amount and stay that way - they're comfortably positioned. The keys themselves are linear. They're smooth and effortless to press, like gliding through air. They're pre-lubricated, so that likely helps a lot, but even so, it's incredible. I'm partial to Cherry MX Brown style switches, but these are still wonderful and high quality switches, to the point that I don't mind them not being my preference. The RGB is nice looking on the keyboard, too. It's vibrant, there's lots of options for how to customize it, you can run it either directly through the software or by storing a profile directly on the keyboard. It's lovely. Overall, this keyboard looks and feels incredible. Responsiveness and connectivity: There is no notable delay between a key stroke and the outcome on screen, when using the dongle. I normally play games with a controller, but I tried a couple games with keyboard and mouse to see how responsive it is, and it's amazing. Its responsiveness is completely comparable to a wired keyboard, and that's the highest compliment I can give. The other thing is that the keyboard maintains its connection. There's never any lag in my inputs, there's never any points where it stops detecting my keystrokes or repeats one keystroke over and over. It's just like using a wired keyboard in every way. Battery Life: The battery life is great. I haven't had to charge this thing once since I got it, and I've been using it for a minimum of 4 hours each day. It's still in the green, too, so it'll be a bit before I need to plug it in. Sound: I've used my share of annoying and loud keyboards, and I have little tolerance for them. This keyboard, however, is extremely quiet. Very, very quiet to use - to the point that people on mic can't really hear it too much whenever I'm typing. It has a nice, thocky sound - very satisfying to just listen to, in person, at least. Software: This is where literally all of my negative feedback for this keyboard lies. The software isn't necessary to use the keyboard, although it's necessary to update the firmware, adjust RGB profiles and the like. Because it's important to customization of the keyboard, I have to take it into account with the review. The software is, frankly, garbage. I'd already had it installed, because this isn't my only Corsair peripheral. However, iCue didn't detect the keyboard, no matter what I did. I looked it up, and apparently I needed to reinstall it. So I decided to start by uninstalling it, and that proved impossible. I'm not exaggerating, either; it's literally impossible. Here's what I mean. If you press the uninstall button in the launcher of the software, it... starts to reinstall it. It doesn't have the ability to uninstall. If you go to control panel and try to uninstall it, you'll find that it's not there under any name. If you go and try to delete the files manually, you'll find that it stops you, saying that the program is open in another file, even when everything on the computer is closed and you went to task mamanger to ensure iCue wasn't running. If you go into "remove an application," you'll find the "uninstall" button is grayed out. If you dig through the folders and find the "uninstall" executable for the program, you'll find that it simply doesn't do anything when you try to open it. There may be some other methods of uninstalling it, but if you look online, you'll find that this experience is not unusual. The software takes up a gig of space, but it was broken and unable to detect the keyboard, so I had to install it a second time. It now takes up two gigs of space. All of this to make the lights on my keyboard a different color. Removed one star. I'd remove more, but the quality of the device itself is enough to make me second guess that choice. Overall, this is an excellent keyboard. I would highly recommend it, as far as its own functionality goes, but beware of the terrible software.
