Customers love the high-quality build, comfortable wrist rest, and smooth, responsive keys of the K70 PRO TKL keyboard. Many appreciate the customizable key actuation and the vibrant RGB lighting options. However, some users find the accompanying software somewhat challenging to navigate. The fast response time is frequently praised for gaming.

This keyboard feels great. Stabilizers are tight, so it feels good to type and play games with. It's very quiet when typing, even quickly and the web interface for configuration is actually pretty good. It allows you to configure it without needing the icue software running, saving some resources.
I know the cool thing to do now a days is building your own keyboard, but even people like me who grew up building computers (i'm 38) can care less about investing time and extra money into building a high level keyboard.
Responsiveness of this keyboard is insanely good, too. It feels instantaneous like the corsair optical keys from previous optical keyboards.

I've had 4 different keyboards and this surpasses all of them. I'm very particular considering I'm both a gamer and in cybersecurity. One specifically was $100 more than the K70 Pro TKL and advertised as the "Best on the market." This keyboard blows that one out of the water. I've never felt a smoother keyboard than this and the performance is unmatched. Best purchase I've made in a long time.

These magnetic switches are so butter smooth it made me legitimately switch my entire setup to corsair. Went back and bought a mouse and an rgb deskpad. The response time and the way this feels can only be felt. And Im not a guy who's big on brown nosing a corporation but this product here? Credit where due

I enjoy this keyboard. Upgraded from K65 since this one came with wrist rest. Got at full price then it went on sale and they price matched. Only wish is that it was able to be used wireless.

Great keyboard for FPS games and more!

Important: Update the keyboard to the latest firmware in iCUE to ensure everything is up to date and working correctly. I actually couldn’t get the update to complete on my main computer, but it worked on my brother's laptop. A bit of an annoying experience for sure that might take a bit of tinkering.
So this review called for Counter-Strike 2 players - and I definitely am one with a ridiculous near 10,000 hours in the game! I’ve used a lot of different keyboards for FPS games over the years, and I do think this is the best one for anything competitive that I’ve used so far. Just the quality combined with actual performance makes this really fun to use!
Inside the box: Keyboard, USB-C cable, and a magnetic palm rest (nice).
Highlight features:
- Compact TKL form factor
- Hall-effect MGX hyperdrive switches (main keys only)
- 8K polling
- Dampening foam
- Customizability through iCUE
Design: This keyboard feels like it was designed for me, and I think it’s the best looking K70 yet! The keycaps have a floating design which I prefer the look of over them being pressed into the case. The board is mostly made of aluminum with some plastic bits here and there. It’s fairly hefty though far from the heaviest and most sturdy boards I’ve tried. My favorite part about the design though is how cool the extra dials like the volume knob “stick out” and the magnetic palm rest also adds to everything. You also get height adjustment feet to tune the angle of the keyboard. Oh and this keyboard has RGB that is typical for Corsair and shines really nice through the double-shot PBT keycaps (very nice basic font).
Performance: I will only be focusing how this keyboard performed in Counter-Strike 2 (could also apply to Valorant)
First thing I did was set the actuation point to 0.4mm in iCUE for the fastest possible response times + 4/8k polling. I didn’t turn on rapid-trigger as I’m personally not a fan of it, but it is an option if you want. Right away I really liked how responsive the keyboard felt, movements just felt a tad more faster and I was able to be more fancy with my movement. I did have to get used to the timings of my presses though as I was recently using a regular mechanical keyboard. There were actually times where I felt the keyboard was “too fast” and caused me to accidentally WASD certain keys when I didn’t mean to. You’re also able to save all your settings like the actuation point directly to the keyboard so you’d have no problem bringing this to LANs.
General typing experience: This keyboard isn’t just great for gaming! The switches feel pleasant enough that I really enjoyed them for typing as well. They aren’t on the level of some enthusiast boards but I’m shocked how close it is. Everything feels well lubed, stabilized, and the dampening foam is doing work!
Software: iCUE is a mixed bag (as evident from my opening statement) updates can be buggy on certain systems (even if you turn off other RGB software like they tell you to) and I feel like it was more user friendly a long time ago. Now it can be confusing for somebody getting into it and changing RGB, performance settings, and macros… it all just isn’t as simple as it should be. It also monitors your system for some reason even if you don’t have any Corsair parts installed. If iCUE was better it would highly elevate this keyboard even more!
Build/QC: Build is awesome, no complaints! Minor QC complaint is that some keycap letters look a bit faded like they ran out of ink.
Overall I can highly suggest the K70 Pro TKL! It’s a great gaming+typing keyboard. It won’t become my main keyboard, but I will still be using it a lot especially when I’m playing CS2 and other FPS games.
Pros:
* Surprisingly smooth switches that perform great
* Good looking RGB
* Sleek design
* Build quality
* Extra keys like a volume knob
Cons:
* Software

From an aesthetic point of view, the K70 Pro TKL keyboard looks quite nice, with the multi-functional volume, RGB, and mode buttons being the stand outs. The 70% size maximizes desk real state and allows me to angle the keyboard for a more ergonomic position when gaming. The keyboard is quite heavy and feels like it is built like a tank. The RGB can get very bright but is adjustable. There is some LED bleeding, but it is not distracting at all. I appreciate the included quality wrist rest.
From a technical build perspective, Corsair put a lot of effort into ensuring critical mechanics are in place. The aluminum top plate gives it a premium feel, The bottom tray is one of the best I have seen, with cool designs, the Corsair logo, and the rubberized feet keep the keyboard well in place. The MGS magnetic HE switches are very well-lubed and stabilized. One thing to note is that the function row, arrow keys, and page keys feature red MLX linear switches. Whether you type with fingertips to full digits, the double-shot ABS keycaps simply feel great. Plus, this is one of quietest typing experiences due to the excellent double sound dampening layering.
From a performance standpoint, I am very impressed. Although I have extensive experience with mechanical keyboards, this is my first time using one with magnetic hall effect sensors. There is a lot of key travel, but that is because the key presses activate instantly, allowing for minute movements that truly make a difference when details and precision matter. Playing FPS competitively, I was able to incrementally peek around corners, line up precision shots, do peek-a-boo shots, and move fast on a dime (great with the “FlashTap” engaged). It is even smoother with diagonal movements. It also works great with MMOs for movement and casting combos.
The Corsair iCUE app brings a lot of customization. There, you can update firmware, enable rapid trigger for even faster controls, customize RGB per key, actuation per key, program macros, and more.
If there is any nitpick, it would be that I must tighten up my typing skills. Any light press will produce double key entries. This can get annoying, but I suppose I just need to ensure my keyboard keystrokes are not lazy. Also, the ability to adjust the actuation does help in balancing sensitivity vs accuracy.
It has been a while since a new keyboard has gotten me this excited. Many may feature these options and more, but now that I have tested what hall effect performance has to offer, it is hard to go back.

Premier speed/comfort for gaming & work on the go!

I’m not a Corsair fanboy, I just happen to really like their stuff, especially their keyboards. Over the past several years, I’ve used five different Corsair Cherry-MX-based keyboards for home productivity, gaming, professional work, and travel (a mix of K95, K70, and K60 models with Red or Silver Speed switches). Last year, I purchased the full-size K70 MAX RGB magnetic-mechanical keyboard for my custom gaming rig, and I haven’t looked back—the difference in speed and additional features that Corsair has thrown into their magnetic switch-based keyboards is literally game-changing.
Fast-forward a year and I’ve rotated out a few of my travel and gaming laptops for slightly smaller 2-in-1s as well as added a Steam Deck and Ally X for gaming-on-the-go with the family. As such, I’ve been in the mood for a similarly travel-friendly keyboard that offered more of the same kind of luxurious typing sensation and ultra-responsive gaming performance I’ve been enjoying with the K70 MAX. Enter the K70 PRO TKL…it’s every bit the flexible gaming monster of its bigger sibling, just without the numpad for those of you who want to streamline your workspace/battlestation.
Construction is reassuringly solid—typical of what I’ve come to expect of Corsair’s more premium-level offerings. The aluminum top plate has a subtle, brushed-satin finish…there are no garish patterns or design-work, just a subtle Corsair logo between the arrow and navigation key clusters so you don’t have to feel self-conscious if you want to use your gaming keyboard at work. The braided cable is flexible and feels of high quality with a USB-A connector on one end and a USB-C connector at the keyboard, so if you only have an open USB-C port at your PC, you’ll either need an adapter or bring your own cable.
The only other eye-catching features of note are two translucent barrel-shaped buttons, and a large rotary function dial situated above the navigation keys. The TKL’s streamlined form factor means there are just a few niceties that have been jettisoned such as a pass-through USB port and dedicated media playback keys; oddly, there is also no keycap puller in the box which is a little unusual for Corsair’s pricier offerings like this one, but it’s hardly missed. A comfy magnetic wrist-rest is also in the box which does add a little bulk if you intend to travel with this keyboard, but it *is* legitimately quite comfortable and makes a HUGE difference during long-term use.
Corsair prioritized sound-dampening with the K70 PRO TKL and the results are indeed pleasingly subdued. In action, all you’re generally going to hear is the little “thock” of the keys as (or if) you bottom them out after an otherwise buttery smooth and satisfyingly liquid-like linear keystroke. There is a layer of sound-dampening material between the top plate and PCB, and between the PCB and bottom tray, and the magnetic switches themselves are stabilized and pre-lubed to eliminate wobble and further reduce mechanical noise. Finally, the bottom fold-out keyboard risers are chonky bits of rubber—they keep the keyboard in place on a smooth desktop MUCH more securely than the fold-out plastic feet on my K70 MAX, and they further help dampen the sound of keystroke and keyboard impacts and vibrations. I have used this keyboard daily for a few weeks in an open work environment and it does not bother my officemates at all (and there are a few who would definitely tell me if it was).
So, what about those three dedicated controls up above the navigation keys? One is the speed mode button indicated by a little speedometer (cute). Activating speed mode turns on rapid trigger keystrokes (activated keystrokes, whether partial or full, are reset immediately rather than upon switch reset so that the next keystroke can be entered even faster), changes all keyboard lighting to static, and activates the Win-lock key to avoid errant start menu intrusions. Next to the speed mode key is a dedicated iCUE media key. Its stock function seems to be play/pause, but it is assignable to any function or macro using the iCUE companion app.
Finally, the key cluster is rounded out by a large knurled dial control that both rotates and presses for actuation. It’s actually a pretty neat addition because it’s a multi-function control dial you can use for several different actions that can be changed via the F12 key. Cycling through the dial’s function settings (with corresponding control-scheme colors shining behind the F12 key) gives you incremental adjustments for volume, keyboard brightness, vertical scrolling, horizontal scrolling, or zoom, with dial presses activating different functions based on the control profile (mute, lighting on/off, move to bottom of page/end of line, or reset zoom level). Although you cannot customize the dial’s functions further, you can increase or decrease the number of control dial functions available through iCUE, which is nice if you don’t commonly use zoom or need access to rotary scroll controls and therefore don’t want to bother with having to remember so many color codes as you cycle through each available control scheme.
The MGX Hyperdrive key switches under the hood sport and support some impressive technology and features. Aside from being almost criminally smooth and indulgent to use, Corsair’s magnetic hall-effect switches offer a simply astounding polling rate that runs from 125Hz/8ms all the way up to 8000Hz/0.125ms! Polling rate adjustments can be set within iCUE, though you are warned that polling speeds above 1000Hz/1ms use additional system processing power. I’ve already described the rapid trigger feature above that is automatically activated in speed mode, but Corsair has more to offer those with esports-level keyboarding needs. For example, each individual keystroke can be customized for a different actuation depth that ranges from an ultra-sensitive 0.1mm to a full 4mm keystroke in 0.1mm steps.
Of course, you can also use iCUE to set the RGB of each individual key as well as map a new key assignment onto every key on the keyboard except the FN key and rotary dial. The K70 PRO TKL also supports Corsair’s “FlashTap” function for ultra-fast strafing and other movements when two movement keys are pressed. I’m not a hyper-competitive gamer so I can’t fully envision what’s happening here, but you can activate FlashTap which gives you SOCD (Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions—I had to look it up) movement behavior that prioritizes the first, last, or neither keystroke input. I don't know if that's considered cheating or not, but I imagine it makes sense to a certain population of gamers out there. But the killer function I really like is the dual actuation settings. This allows you to define two actuation points (one shallow, one deeper) for the same keystroke, giving you essentially a pressure-sensitive control so that you can bind two commonly toggled functions to the same key, like walk and run in first-person shooters. That one alone is a life saver for me as it drastically reduces keystrokes and finger movements during a frantic gaming session.
I suppose some might bemoan the lack of any alternate-colored/textured keycaps in the box for WASD or MOBA customization (which have been common pack-ins for Corsair keyboards over the years), but overall, you get a heck of a lot of capability and customization for your hard-earned dollar, with truly cutting edge features for speed, accuracy, and longevity, all with Corsair’s typical bullet-proof build quality—definitely recommended if you are in the market for a TKL keyboard!

The CORSAIR K70 PRO TKL is solid ultra customizable keyboard that I did not know I needed. I thought I was fine using my base-level keyboard until I tried this one. First of all, the colors are amazing! I have not seen a more beautiful array of color display on a keyboard. More importantly though, the keyboard gives results where it is needed, upping my gaming against my competition and making RPG and sandbox games so much more enjoyable.
Being a tenkeyless board, it saves a lot of space, which is great because the palm rest takes up a lot of space and having both would make the whole set-up look cumbersome. It also allows me to fit my large mousepad on my desk and still have a decent amount of extra room left.
The palm rest is made of a pleather-like material and is extremely smooth and comfortable. I am prone to carpal tunnel, and this has helped increase my ergonomics and decrease the chances of ending up in pain after long hours on the PC. The keyboard has decent height, so the palm rest is necessary for proper posture.
The keyboard, besides featuring a stunning display of color, is a quality build. It is pretty heavy with thick hard-plastic keys and shell surrounding a metal base. The knobs are made of metal as well.
The keys are so smooth and fun to press, with MGX Hyperdrive magnetic switches that are made to withstand repetitive overuse. They are linear rather than tactile, thus allowing the dual actuation to work effectively.
I can customize actuation per-key, giving me so much control over exactly how I want my keyboard to work according to my tendencies and which game I am playing. Also, as mentioned above, it also allows two actions to be set for each key.
All of this is customized in Corsair’s app iCUE. The app is very intuitive, simple, and easy to explore. The app allows key assignments, actuation, control dial customization, performance, preset setups, and Murals to customize the RBG setup, among other things.
Honestly, I have been having so much fun trying different games with this keyboard. The accuracy and speed of the rapid trigger response is amazing and gives me the upper hand in first- and third shooter games, from Battlefield to Fortnite. The fact that competitive gaming can be turned on and off with game mode makes me love this keyboard because my kids play RPG and sandbox games, as well as use the PC leisurely, and I don’t need the keyboard to be constantly responding at my set hyper-polling rate. Besides that, the fluid and linear keystrokes make using it extremely enjoyable.
In the time I’ve been using this keyboard, I have not found a singular problem with it. Its customizability is incredibly useful, the RGB display is mesmerizing, and the performance is next level. This is overall a worthwhile investment to complete a PC setup.

The Corsair K70 Pro TKL is a pretty slick gaming keyboard with lots of cool features. I love how simple it looks, it doesn't look like a crazy rgb keyboard but a very clean and professional one. It's got special switches that work super fast and options to set it up for PC, Mac, PlayStation, or Xbox. You can even pick between black or white, with two types of keycaps (ABS or PBT) that look and feel great. While I got the black keyboard, I can definitely see the white keyboard looking amazing with the right aesthetics.
The design looks really sharp, especially the floating keys and aluminum top plate. It also includes a comfy magnetic wrist rest and a big knob for adjusting volume. I love the magnetic wrist rest, I've been using a separate wrist rest that wasn't magnetic before and wow is the magnets very convenient. The wrist rest is firmer than I thought it would be but I actually ended up really liking this, my wrists dont sink into the wrist rest but are still nice and comfy.
Some things could be better, though. The space bar isn’t always tuned perfectly, so it might not sound great to everyone, and not all the keys have the “hall effect” switch – only the main typing keys do, while others use different switches. Plus, if you’re the type who likes to modify or “mod” your keyboard, this one isn’t easy to open up. That being said, if you just want to switch out your keycaps, that process is simple enough (only the main typing keys are hot swappable). Corsair's IQ software isn't perfect, but its definitely alot better than some other manufacturers out there. The layout is confusing but all functionality on there works and its pretty customizable if you can find what youre looking for.
Overall, though, the K70 Pro TKL is a good deal for what you get, especially with its super-fast performance. It’s built for gaming and lets you save settings directly on the keyboard, so you don’t need the IQ software running all the time. It’s a solid choice for gamers who want a lot of features at a fair price, but with just a few small issues like the space bar tuning and limited mod options.

The Corsair K70 pro keyboard is by far the most impressive keyboard I have ever owned.
It is so weird to me what a difference it makes having a keyboard that has keys that feel right versus one that has cheap keys. These feel so smooth and quiet. That would be especially helpful to people that stream/game so you don’t get everyone that you are playing with laughing at you for the constant key clicks they hear through your headphones.
But what is the best for me is the smoothness of the keys. Honestly they are so perfect.
Other then that the lights are awesome and beautiful and there are many ways you can make them illuminate, ohh and it’s seamlessly easy no need to download an app if you don’t want to all you need to do is press on the two top toggles next to the volume control and it’s done.
The arm rest is so soft and magnetic to the keyboard so it can be removed or you can keep it attached. I very much like it.
Any negatives? I am used to the number keys on the right hand side of the keyboard but with a compact keyboard you just have to use the top number keys.
Overall it’s a keeper and my favorite by far and love it.

There used to be a time when a gaming keyboard was just a gaming keyboard. You chose what you liked in terms of mechanical key feel, it hopefully had some fun lights and a little customization, and you banged on it until you wore it out and needed a new one.
Those days have changed - and changed for the better. I probably had no idea what I was getting myself into when I installed the Corsair iCue app and dug deep into all the bells and whistles of the K70 Pro TKL but now I get it (and what the TKL Hall Effect even is LOL)
The difference between this keyboard and most is that it uses magnetic dampers to pick up keystrokes, and the effect has a high magnitude of variability that you can start tinkering with key by key. Need to adjust the rapid fire on a specific key? Got that. Need to change the depth at which the primary actuation point triggers, or even add a secondary one (think of the new iPhone 16 Pro camera “button” as kind of an example)? Got that too. Lighting effects, not only for your keyboard but other coordinating Corsair products? Still got it.
I have simply never seen another keyboard that lets you tailor so many of these things to your gameplay style and it brings new meaning to the concept of “trigger fingers.”
Some may find the lack of a number pad a limiting factor especially if you use your keyboard for both work and gaming, That’s a trade off you have to decide on for yourself but so far I’m living with it pretty well and I kept my old keyboard just in case.

The Corsair K70 Pro TKL Hall Effect Programmable Keyboard offers top-tier performance and impressive build quality in a wired, tenkeyless design. The smoothness of the keystrokes is remarkable—almost like pressing down on responsive clouds. This effortless feel translates into a comfortable gaming experience, even during extended sessions, with the keyboard’s responsiveness enhancing every interaction.
Corsair is known for producing quality products, and this keyboard is no exception. From the keys to the knobs and housing, everything feels premium. The tenkeyless design is a welcome feature, freeing up desk space for my mouse, which is especially useful in gaming setups where room for mouse movement is key.
The wrist pad, though not a universal favorite, provides just the right height for comfortable, natural hand positioning. As someone used to a low-profile keyboard, I appreciated the added height, which helped position my hands at an ideal angle without straining my wrists.
Corsair’s iCue software is where all the macro and lighting customization lives, though its stability can be hit-or-miss. Thankfully, I encountered no issues specific to this keyboard during testing. Overall, the Corsair K70 Pro TKL is an easy recommendation for those seeking smooth, responsive keystrokes, high-quality materials, and the benefit of extra desk space.

The K70 Pro TKL Mechanical Gaming keyboard is the best keyboard I've ever used with its great sounding switches to its stunning looks. The keyboard also comes with a pad which prevents carpal tunnel from long hours of gaming or typing.
Another little yet great feature is that the keyboard is shorter taking off the number pad and other keys that are not really needed for gaming this frees up space on your desk to put other needed items.
The K70 Pro TKL Mechanical Gaming keyboard also has advanced features I've yet to experience. Full customization of the actuators. Meaning how much of the key you can press before the key is actually sent. From barely touching it to all the way down. When milliseconds count this could really benefit a players style if they take advantage of it.
The last feature I want to add is a game mode for gaming if you press the white button farthest to the left of the volume dial the keys become red and eliminates flashing light distractions.
If you want a keyboard that looks amazing, sounds fantastic, makes free space on your desk, can eliminate distractions by just pressing a button, and has optimal comfort with its pad this keyboard is for you there is nothing you would not like about this stunning keyboard.

I recently picked up the CORSAIR K70 PRO TKL and am thoroughly impressed—this keyboard has elevated both my gaming and daily typing experience.
From a technical standpoint, the magnetic Hall-effect MGX Hyperdrive switches are a standout. They allow adjustable actuation from 0.1 mm up to 4.0 mm, enabling lightning-fast keystrokes or more deliberate presses as needed
These switches feel incredibly smooth, and the keyboard supports polling at up to 8,000 Hz for ultra-responsive input.
The build quality is also excellent: a durable aluminum top plate, sound-dampening layers, pre-lubed stabilizers, and a comfortable detachable wrist rest make it feel premium.
Customization is robust too—via the iCUE software you can program dual-actuation keys, remap macros, and tailor lighting. The RGB looks fantastic and adds a clean aesthetic touch.
On the flip side: it’s wired only, and while the software is capable, some users find it less intuitive than competitors.
Overall, if you’re serious about gaming performance or want a top-tier keyboard for both work and play, this keyboard delivers. Highly recommend!

The Corsair K70 Pro TKL Hall Effect Keyboard is an interesting little beast. It has all of the best features I’d expect in a gaming-centric keyboard and all of the comfort of a higher end enthusiast build.
The build quality is solid and heavier than I would expect for gaming specific hardware. It’s sleek and has nice style with the brushed aluminum top plate and the overall construction is pretty beefy. It’s not exactly silent, but the construction definitely aims to dampen sound, and it does a pretty good job. The magnetic switches are smooth and consistently responsive. I always love a good aluminum volume knob too!
Setup is super easy since it’s just plug and play. Download Corsair's iCUE software and you’ll be able to tweak with the colors, key assignments, actuation points, control dial functions and more. It doesn't matter whether you are a casual gamer or a pro, the K70 pro is legit.
The K70 Pro TKL includes the Corsair MGX Hyperdrive magnetic switch with Hall-effect sensors that use magnetic activation instead of your typical mechanical switch. You’ll get responsive and precise typing without issue every time. Although I didn’t really notice a difference in the feel, the magnetic switch is where the actuation and other programable features become possible.
The Corsair K70 Pro is excellent and I’ve made it my daily driver for work and gaming. The features that come with the hall effect switches are a nice touch and really shine when you take the time to configure multiple profiles and configurations. The build quality is great with no flex and rigid construction. If you like the gaming aesthetic and want a truly customizable next generation software controlled keyboard, the K70 Pro might be the one!

This Corsair Hall Effect Keyboard is going to give any gamer a serious edge over the competition. The Hall Effect switches on this keyboard are incredible. I’ve never used such a keyboard before. The magnetic switch technology means that you can customize actuation points per key, which means you can have both hair-trigger gaming keys and deeper-pressing typing keys. Gaming on this keyboard was so much better than on my old standard keyboard. Zero delay and instant registrations is something that I’m going to have to get used to after using traditional mechanical switches. I was playing the new COD Blackops 6 and I set up this keyboard to play with it and I was doing noticeably better than when I play with my old keyboard or the PS5 controller. The key response rate was just ridiculous.
You can customize the settings easily on this keyboard using the Corsair iCUE software. Which means key remapping, profiles, and per-key RGB programming are a snap to do.
The keyboard maintains Corsair's reputation for premium build quality; this thing is rock solid. The tenkeyless (TKL) form factor strikes an excellent balance between desk space efficiency and functionality. However, if you also do a lot of data entry you will want a traditional keyboard with the numberpad. This is a gaming keyboard first and foremost. The keyboard is charged via a detachable USB-C cable and there are large flip-up feet to provide stable typing angles.
This is a premium gaming keyboard that looks stylish and feels high quality when typing on it. I highly recommend this keyboard if you are a serious gamer or just want to be on the cutting edge of technology.

I will not lie, I’m not a keyboard enthusiast as some others are, BUT this keyboard is surprisingly good. Great for competitive gaming while also being nice to type on. Awesome lights, quality keycaps, and a good software make this easy to recommend.

Hall Effect keyboards are freaking cool! Back in the olden days when keyboards were all mechanical switches we had the option of swapping switches when you want a different “feel” for your keyboard, seeing that come back and mechanical keyboard in a big way has been incredible, but technology stops for nothing and we have finally come close to realizing the perfect keyboard for a vast majority of people.
Hall Effect Keyboards are mechanical switches that act like analog dials. Basically think of the difference between the micro switch on an old arcade cabinet control panel, vs say a Hall effect trigger on a ps5 controller. On a keyswitch this allows you to change how the keyboard feels with a simple software tweak.
So here’s the good:
Want to try typing as fast as you can? Crank the activation height as high as you feel comfortable and let your fingers dance across the keyboard where the lightest touch will activate the key, or say you’re playing an rts game, where mistype could mean the difference between a macro that does 6+ actions or opening the wrong menu. Crank that actuation height nice and low you really have to press keys for them to activate, it’s an incredible gaming keyboard coupled with the implementation of SOCD or “snap tap”, ultimately the keyboard presents a compelling package, however there’s the catch.
The bad.
Corsair software; honestly, if you can’t google the issues with Corsair iCUE et al, I won’t color your opinion, compared to other brands HyperX and Logitech have lighter software, but iCUE also supports rgb control and other cool features, so it’s a trade off.
But its biggest sin that detracts the most is, the keyboard doesn’t exclusively have HE switches?! The main keys are, but the f row etc are all regular switches. At least when you go with literally any other brand at least you get all the switches you paid for…
Finally it’s not hotswappable?! in this day and age?!
Ultimately, if you’re satisfied with the keyboard hardware, which is decent, and can handle the software, it’s a decent purchase on sale. It’s cheaper than the Razer competitor, either at the same price or higher. However, I recommend going with Razer because the hardware quality is slightly better, and you’ll get all the switches you paid for. If you prefer Hall effect switches and want more control over customization, the Keychron K2 HE is about $70 cheaper, and all the keys are Hall effect as well.
Overall, this isn’t a “bad” keyboard, but more of a “why does this exist” when it’s just the Razer Huntsman but worse? They fill the same niche, and they both have their own brand of nonsense. So choose your brand of nonsense and go forth and argue online, I guess.

This keyboard is great. It's not very loud. The response is great when gaming. And now I have a lot more space on my desk. I haven't fully explored the Hall Effect since it's the first time I own one with it.
