The quality of the led strips and software is what you would expect from a company like Corsair. All of the necessary hardware is included and very easy to use. The software is very intuitive and user friendly. You have complete control over led color, pattern, brightness, etc. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to add some lighting to your PC. The only drawbacks that I could find would be that the led strips don’t like to bend at a 90* angle and that the led hotspots are definitely noticeable and leaves something to be desired.

Easy USB 2.0 Header setup. Comes with a basic controller that fits in the back of my PC case. Setting up the Lightning Node PRO was very simple, especially with the magnetic strips and optional adhesive (I prefer the magnets though to prevent sticky adhesive on the inside of my computer case). I love how easy and customizable setting up different RGB profiles are in the iCue software.

Wanted to try some of these to finish off me X99A build. Not a big fan of RGB rainbow vomit but the ability to set a specific color for themed build is nice.

    Taking RGB up a notch

I bought this almost exclusively for the Corsair Lighting Node so I could control my Corsair HD140 RGB fans with LINK. Without the lighting node the fans have very limited customization options. Setting up the lighting node and getting it to function properly with my fans was a slight challenge. In order for this to work you have to install the LINK software from Corsair and add the amount of fans connected to it. Otherwise only one will light up. The lighting strips themselves are much easier to install and look awesome. Only downside is how much space is between strips when connecting them together.

I have a lot of Corsair products and I've bought them because of excellent RGB and excellent sync. I have installed 4 LED strip on the back of my monitor and it looks awesome! If you want to make your PC space looks gorgeous you have to get these strips. Installation is not very hard, but you need to put controlled somewhere outside of your case. So better plan how you gonna do it before buying

I used these in my set up and I love them! Just a tip when you set them up and turn on your PC the two that are not connected to the hub wont turn on. You will need to get icue up then say 2 are connected to each port. It says that no where in the instructions. I love the look they give though!

I have everything corsair for my pc. I thought I didn’t need this and I probably still don’t but if you like staring at your pc just as much as using it than this is for you. You can animate it through the icue software and it definitely adds a nice touch to the case. I got this on sale and it was worth it to me.

I paired this with a new 570x Corsair crystal case. After getting everything hooked up and turning it on I used the I use software to change the lighting. It was working great, then I noticed half of the leds on one strip started randomly changing colors, going in and out, and not following the software or the rest of the led strips. They look great, but I wish they worked better.

The colors are fun and the default lighting option selection isn't bad, although customization does have a bit of a learning curve. If you have used the previous Corsair Link system and lighting module, this one is an improvement over the older version of the product and doesn't require something like the Command module (if using this as a stand alone product). The only reason I don't give 5 starts is a couple reasons, all of which have to do with the iCUE software. The software, you must use to take advantage of this cool little package. When running this software (interface open), my observation is it uses considerably larger amount of resources that my Aura lighting software does. By resources, I mean processor and memory. Processor utilization averages at about 7.8% and memory at a little over 375 mb with iCUE. My Aura software doesn't get over .5% in processor utilization and memory usage is around 25 mb. Now, I'm driving a lot more lighting in iCUE and I haven't gotten in there and unplugged devices to figure out if more devices equals more memory. But if you think about it, that's still quite a difference. The great news is, when you close the iCUE UI, memory utilization drops to around 138 mb and processor utilization...well, that doesn't really change any. More good news is that modern day PC's have lots of memory and CPU cores. So its probably not such an issue. However, I think about the fact that I'm using some Razer lighting for my keyboard, Cooler Master for my mouse, Aura lighting from the motherboard and Corsair lighting for just about everything else. It adds up. The only reason I realized this is I read about how resource intensive iCUE is and I looked for myself. For me, its not been a reason to stop enjoying all my beautiful LED's, but its something to note. Added information about using this with other Corsair products: I failed to do proper research with regard to this product, which I wish to share so that people do not make the same mistake. If you are intending to use this to also drive the LED's on a Corsair Fan, you must have the Fan Controller or the Commander to do so. I was hoping the connectors were the same between the lighting strips and the Fan LED connector and this is not the case. At the time of this writing, the stand-alone fan controller is not available. So if you want to use this module to control fan LED's, you must buy the fan bundle with the controller or buy the Commander module. This information is all over the internet and I simply didn't plan well. This is not intended to berate the product in any way. Just a note to hopefully help you plan better. The lighting node does require an internal USB 2 header. If you are low on headers the Commander module (which also requires a header) supplies 2 USB headers and so it would make a good, albeit expensive passthrough (with nifty features of its own). You may also want to think about an internal hub, like the NZXT internal hub. The hub has helped me immensely with my last couple system builds. I don't have any regrets and I do like the new version of this product over the old. If you purchase, I hope you are as happy with these LED's as I am.

    Unicorn Vomit

These are a bit pricy for what they are but they deliver excellent quality and unprecedented customization. You can have the unicorn vomit look if you prefer with rainbow colors flashing around or you can go with an elegant understated look- whichever fits you better. Installation is really simple as these are magnetic, and you just plug the strips (with optional extenders) into the hub, and then that plugs into your usb header on the motherboard. Corsair Link software could be better, but it's never a question of whether you can do something, rather a question of how long it will take to configure the lights the way you want them. The good news is there's tons of profiles so you can save your favorite modes for later. Also if you install them and freak out because you can't get them to work right away, don't worry- just download the software and then hit the plus button under the lights category to add the four strips so the software knows what you have installed. All in all these are awesome!
