High pitched coil whine and noisy fan at low loads

In order to even hear the whine, you had place one's ear near the PSU in the rear. Afterwards the whine got progressively louder at idle which could now be heard over an arm's length away from the case. This was exacerbated by slight load. Now when the PSU fan turns on, it's louder than all my other case and cpu cooler fans. Presently waiting on a support ticket from Corsair at the moment.

Corsair with few questions accepted my RMA but now have to pay $23 to ship it back to them, lucky me

After the 2nd one went out I called an electrician to make sure it’s not on my end. The low review is because of Corsair customer service. They wanted to charge me ahead of sending the RMA. Any brand but Corsair.. they are not what they used to be.

If you wanted an advanced RMA, you'd indeed be charged in advance while the faulty unit is received by us. You'd also have the option of a regular RMA which wouldn't require any payment for a new unit.
