Installed on my hp omen desktop. Pretty simple installation. Some of the cords are really thick though and I hate that the SATA cables are multi. Sometimes I just want to run a single SATA cable.

Pretty good PSU for an okay price. I got it because I bought a RTX 3070 Strix and that thing sucks power when it is on the OC. Not only that but everything else is OC in my rig.

Power supplies are normally the least glamorous part of a pc build, but can be the most important component. I upgraded from a 650 watt bronze certified no-name brand to this Corsair 850 watt beast to support my new RTX 2080 with the potential to run SLI in the future. This is a fully modular unit which cleans up the interior of your case and makes cable management a breeze. The cables that come with the power supply are clearly labeled, are all black, and come neatly packaged in a svelt little carry bag. Everything you need to install this power supply is included. Once I got everything installed and all the cables routed, I fired up my computer. This power supply is quiet and power delivery is smooth. I’m very pleased with the looks, build quality, and performance from this Corsair RMx850!

I think this is one of the best sub 1000 watt power supplies available today. Can you get a cheaper one? absolutely. But I think that a power supply is the one thing nobody should ever skimp on, and this one will give you a very clean output. It's fully modular and the cables are very beefy feeling and well constructed. There's enough room for 5 8pin cables so you should be able to connect any power hungry video card with ease. The main 24pin and extra CPU cables have in cable capacitors to reduce voltage ripple under load to ensure smooth power delivery. The one downside to this is that the ends of the cable are huge and very inflexible due to the heat-shrink and hot glue construction. You may have issues with cable managment if you want immediate tight bends after the connector with these cables.

I originally purchased an EVGA Gold Plus power supply from Best Buy to go along with a 2070 Super I owned. When I bought it I noticed a slight coil whine form the card but kept it because It wasn't too noticeable when playing games. When I upgraded to a 3080 the coil whine got significantly worse to the point that I decided to go with something else. This Corsair PSU is vastly better in everyway, NO coil whine, and the wires for your motherboard/cpu/gpu are all braided and look pretty nice. Huge warning - if you're switching form another modular power supply make sure you swap every cable, I made the mistake of thinking PSU used the same cables because they literally fit in the same ports but that is absolutely not the case.

I compared power supplies from Seasonic, EVGA, Fractal Design, Asus, NZXT, Thermaltake, and Cooler Master. This unit was priced well although it isnt platinum cerified, but that is not a huge deal breaker. I have been watching 850W power supplies like a hawk and they are really hard to come by for fair prices and this was such a good deal especially in a time like this. I did a lot of research on power supplies and with Covid many of them were out of stock or sellers were price gouging. I love white themed builds and I never thought I would buy a white PSU because white PC components typically cost more or they are more difficult to get than their other color counterparts. Great quality unit and cables. Comes with zip ties, twist ties, and a little bag to store everything. I guess I got kind of lucky with timing and snagged this as soon as I saw it available. They were cheaper than everyone else and had free shipping. I shipped it to the store and it was ready in 4 days.

I purchased this PSU as I recently needed a bit more power to supply the needs for my new 3090 GPU. This is a great modular set up that allows for less unnecessary cables, easier cable management and it would be perfect for those that want to make their own wiring harnesses. It is very quiet and that is probably my favorite thing about this, even though it’s getting heavy loads from an over locked i9 10900k and an overclocked 3090 that sucks up to 375watts by itself.

I was changing out my ram, adding more lights/fans, added a cpu water cooler, got a rtx 2080, and some new ssds and m.2s. I needed more power because i had a 650, and it was not modular. I really like modular and it had more than plenty wiring adapters and leads to complete my build , except fan controllers, which PSUs dont usally come with as most people dont have the entire set up I have, but it had all the right cords and its silent as can be and it works for what I needed it for.. you can always count on Corsair
