Solid power supply and fully modular making cable management super easy. First power supply that gives a sense of ease knowing it’s a quality product.

I had 1000 W blowup and so in a pinch. I went over and bought this one and it has everything included was fully modular and worked perfectly right out of the box and continues to do so to this day. Lots of connections come in the box.

So i dont like giving bad reviews for good products, this however is the exception. Call it user error, or maybe the manufacturer believes in one cabke fits all- they dont. VGA power cables should not be daisy chained especially on anything high end in the last few years. Its a great product, with terrible cables packaged with it. Picked this up on sale and then returned it for another brand 850w PSU. I cannot stand the horrible VGA cables corsair included in this package, an 850w with daisy chained vga cables is not worth it, just buy a 1000w psu that has single 6+2 vga cables over this one. Save yourself the headache of system bluescreens and awful noodle looking extra cables hanging off the GPU if you use both the daisy chained vga cables. Or be prepared/warned and buy some custom cables ahead of time.

I replaced a bunch of components at once and needed a higher power supply. 650W was good for what I used to have but with a new CPU and GPU, the power draw demanded a larger power supply. Can't go wrong with Corsair.

My previous smoking box released a puff of grey smoke and stopped working. This new magic box works well the small smoke god has been happy in his new computer. I pray that he does not escape again Legit it’s a cheap useable power supply that’s modular what else do you want ?

Always go modular. This is a fully modular PSU "built by Corsair" but it's not. Another company, Cable Well Technologies (CWT), makes this as well as many other PSUs on the market. They are a great manufacturer backed by a 10year warranty.

Good 850w psu. Pretty future proof although if I plan to upgrade to the 5000 series once it comes out I’m probably goin to need a 1000w one

    Usual Corsair quality PSU

As expected, this has so far been an excellent PSU. I have a Corsair 850W PSU from 2010, and it's still going strong in an older build that i have. Of course, the RM850x has the Japanese capacitors, so that extra level of expected quality should ensure this PSU lasts equally long. The modular cables are fine, although as reviews sometimes note, the in-line capacitors do add some unfortunate bulk. But, in my case, I used RGB cable extensions for the ATX and GPU connections, so you don't see them anyway. Connecting cables to the PSU is pretty easy, although sometimes you have to struggle a bit if your PSU is already installed in the case and good leverage isn't there. But, good to know once they're clicked in, they are really locked in. Fan is definitely smooth and quiet. The maglev fan is buttery. I think the price is right for the category.

I bought this to put in a prebuilt computer to upgrade the video card from a 3060 to a Radeon 7900XT. The box was damaged so we recorded the unboxing incase we needed to return the power supply. We changed drivers and started gaming on COD MW2 with maximum settings turned on. About every fifth game we would get the blue screen of death and the computer would restart. We downloaded software to show us critical faults and ICue to show the usage. Critical fault was power issue with video card and the card was only using about 80%. Changed the card back to the 3060 and no issues at all. I returned the 7900XT and kept this power supply in the computer still pushing the 3060 with no issues.
