Instant Return
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking forward to this as it’s a refresh of the series, however the fan made a horrible noise as soon as it started spinning when in a game. Took it out to make sure nothing snuck in during install that could cause the sound, but everything looked fine. Used some air to spin the fan manually and low and behold, there was the a sound. Definitely seems like a faulty bearing, so it is being returned for a Seasonic GX-850.

Blew up on power-on
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bad unit from factory blew up on power-on. Store had no replacements in stock. Since we were in a hurry, we accepted store credit on an upgrade which has worked perfectly. Good overall experience despite flawed product (from an otherwise excellent brand).

DO NOT BUY THIS POWER SUPPLY!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve purchased two and should’ve learned my lesson the first time. I legitimately hate this PSU. Not because of its functionality - it works fine, but because the wires are absolute trash. This is a PREMIUM priced psu but contains the cheapest modular wire set you can possibly get. It’s like a kid getting a D in a class but still passing. They work but they’re horrible. They’re stiff and hard to work with and the PCIE connectors are monstrous looking. I spent an extra $45 on Amazon to get a set of 3 cablemod 8 pin pcie wires which fixes the problem, but my point is, at $150, there shouldn’t have been a problem to fix to begin with.

Does the job but flexibility of cord is terrible
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only thing I bought for my build that I was disappointed with. They work as intended I suppose, but there is an awful still rubber wrap that they put about 1 inch away from the connector causing me to hardly be able to bend the cable.

Many Downgrades, Higher Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some of the connectors don't click in. It feels like a mushy connection. The selection of cables are a downgrade from the previous iteration. 2x CPU->3x CPU but 6x 8pin->4x 8pin, and 10x SATA->14x but 8x molex->4x molex. The quality of the box and packaging have been significantly downgraded. Flimsy box, less foam packaging for the PSU unit, and no reusable/resealable bag for the modular cables. And now it costs $5 more.

Died within 6 months
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1st issue I have is the cpu cables being break apart 8 pin. My X570 board requires an 8 pin and 4 pin for CPU, and the way this power supply is set up you split apart one of the 8 pins, and because there's literally no slack or extra cable, the extra 4 pin just dangles there looking ugly. Second, it just died within a few months. With no warning. Went to power on the PC, and nothing. Just dead. Had to drive out to get a replacement so could use the PC. I'm not a hardcore gamer, nor does my PC get abused or overworked. No storms or surges. It just died.

Posted .Hi,
Sorry to hear about your experience. The 8-pin CPU cable does not have to be split apart - though since it is already, you should be able to tuck it behind your motherboard tray and out of visibility. Considering our RMx PSUs carry a 10-year warranty, please get in touch with us - we'd be happy to get you a replacement: support.corsair.com

Arrived dead
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mine arrived dead. I hooked up my old supply and the computer fired right up. After searching the internet I learned this is pretty common with these, so I am going with a different brand.
