Go ahead and upgrade to the thousand watt, so you don’t have to keep switching out wattage that’s what they told me that’s what I did and it’s working perfectly

This is a great concept, I have currently used in 4 builds but I have a warning. If you use the cables it provides it's kind of a pain to cable manage mattering on the case you put it in. For example it gets really tight on a NZXT H510 but it's fine on a Hyte Y60. This is really designed for people who get custom cables at custom lengths like cable mod cables.
Other than that it works perfectly as a 1000w PSU.

I recently purchased the shift for an all white build with some white cables from Corsair only to find out they updated the standards again on this model. This model is only compatible with Type 5, gen1… what a crazy standard to have multiple cables not backwards compatible. I reached out to Corsair and they dont even sell that type yet. For and $200 gold psu the cables should be sleved better and be compatible with what is available in their own store. Bummed.. my fault in the end for not doing enough research. This rating is based on the quality of the cables and the proprietary cable replacement being unavailable. Liked the design but very disappointed.

Replaced my old Thermaltake 750w (10+ years old) that couldnt keep up with my new 3070 TI. This is plenty of modern power for most of the newest cards. The plugs that go into the power supply are so tiny, but seems to be fine so far. I have a Fractal Air Pop and the cables coming out the side of the PSU work good and fit in the case. It does get a bit conjested.
Only Con would be I wish they had PCI-E 8pin to 8pin for graphics not the 8-pin to 16-pin leaving the extra plug dangling is ugly.
