Great Looking RGB Kit, Make sure on QVL

ASUS ROG Maximus X Code mobo i7 8700k OC @ 5ghz 1.31 Vcore To start, these dimms look amazing. the rgb is bright, and with the iCue software, you can change colors, and lighting display with more than a handful of options. Let me say, I bought this kit on a whim while picking up another item, because I got them cheaper than listed price at the time. With that being said, I DID NOT check to see if this specific kit was listed on my motherboards QVL for compatability. After installing the kit, and going into BIOS/UEFI, I enabled XMP, and nothing more. Saved settings, exit...and NOTHING. I reset the board a few times to see if it would train. And loop after loop, always back to POSTFAIL- safety mode. After alot of reading, even more trial & error attemps at changing settings I was able to get into windows, more attempts, and eventually running stable. This was the first time I've had a RAM kit NOT work on XMP right away. HUGE PAIN, let me tell you, as I've overclocked & delid cpu's, and oc GPU many times, but never had to mess with ram before. Ive read countless guides and articles about ram overclocking, timings, etc since, and im actually testing oc stability on another set of RAM i just recently picked up that is samsung b die IC kit because of all ive learned since. TL;DR; If you dont have the time or want to go down the rabbit hole that is RAM timings, and settings, CHECK YOUR MOBOS QVL before buying to make sure its listed so no headaches! If you're like me, and love every aspect of overclocking, get a kit that has Samsung b die IC's, and read, read, read, and practice! *This Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO kit CMW16GX4M2C3000C15 vers 5.32 cl 15-17-17-35 uses Hynix CFR (c-die) IC's*

*results are subjective and limited to a single hardware config.* System specs: Ryzen 1700 @ 4GHz Asrock X370 Taichi EVGA SuperNova 750 G3 With Ryzen depending on the speed of DRAM to increase performance, I wanted to get the fastest RAM as possible (and compatible). Several kits from G.Skill, PNY, Corsair, and Geil have all failed to pass the bare DDR4 spec of 2133MHz. Even my previous kit of PNY Anarchy X 3200MHz could just manage 2400MHz at very loose timings ( 20-22-22-40). I have had enough time to tinker with this new kit, and I am very impressed. So impressed that I plan on buying another 16GB kit to round out the RGB lighting. The rated speed is decent at 3000MHz which worked out of the box with no issue. However, these sticks were pushed to 3466MHz at tight timings of 17-18-18-35 and still survive a full 24 hours of AIDA64 at full burn. Just from 2933 to 3466, my cpu gained 14% improvement across the board. TLDR: As of time of writing, the price of DRAM is only decreasing and finding a similar price/performance kit still costs $50+ over this kit. Temps are fantastic, and they're a beast in performance. Oh yeah, the RGB is the only downside; the LEDs shine through the opaque cover.

I purchased this memory on a bit of a whim because I had returned another unrelated item and this was on sale. I've always wanted RGB RAM even though I know there is no real benefit to it, but this was an upgrade of my 8GB of slower RAM. Capable of doing 3000 MHz, I thought it might bump up my FPS slightly but more so, I was hoping it would help with some multitasking I've been doing. All-in-all, it was a great purchase and I'm happy. However, I made the stupid mistake of NOT checking that my motherboard supports 3000 MHz RAM (and it doesn't), so it's not running at full speed. Still, it's been great and was super-easy to install!

I bought this memory to finish upgrading an old setup. I thought about going with the basic memory without the RGB but decided to spend a little extra to get the "flair". The install was as easy as expected. I went into the bios and set the speed and gaming is super fast. Granted its not all the memory but my old setup had 1600 and I definitely notice a difference with the 3000. I dont understand some of the reviews that "shrug" at the RGB aspect, it's not the memory's fault you decided to go with the more expensive version with the lights. You can get the same memory without the RGB for less if that's what you want. Setting up the lighting pattern was easy as well with the software that was included with the MB.

First and foremost, there is currently a bug with the latest BIOS drivers on AMD's X470, and possibly other, chipset motherboards where the RAM doesn't appear in Corsair iCUE. If you encounter this issue, you can rollback your BIOS to a different driver, or you could just not, because it's RGB RAM lol. Corsair is aware of this issue and they are working on a fix. Also, on AMD motherboards, you will have to change the Overclock Tuner to D.O.C.P. and select D.O.C.P. Standard in order to get 3GHz. Intel motherboards should do this automatically. After that is done, this RAM is amazing. I've used it for roughly a week and have not had any stuttering on Black Ops 4 and Battlefield V.

Hands down worth the money for the Corsair aesthetics and overclocking. I came from a 2133mhz hyperx single stick and going to dual channel 3000mhz has had a far more significant impact then I thought it would. Paired with a Ryzen 5 I gained upwards of 20 fps in my games from the old single channel 16gb. I don't know alot about timings but as far as I can research corsair vengeance has pretty solid settings. Overclocked to 3300mhz and havn't tried more or less. I don't think I can benefit anymore from it. Even the 3ghz seemed like I wouldn't be able to utilize it but cpu intensive games love these sticks. Also had an issue with HyperX where I kept having to reseat the ram every so often which seemed solved with these corsair sticks.

I have had this in my new pc for a few weeks now, and I must say it’s just amazing !! ( Pros ) Keeps cool , runs fast , does everything it suppose to do . ICUE lets me change up the look effortlessly . ( Cons ) Doesn’t show in my BIOS that it’s running at 3000mhz .. but it’s also not listed as compatible ram for my MB . But in my systems screen in windows it shows as 3000mhz.. not a deal breaker ! Asus strix z-370 MB 16GB Corsair vengeance rgb pro Samsung 970 evo 500gb Nvme Samsung 960 500 ssd EVGA ftw2 1070 Antec case with rgb features I wasn’t sure if I was really going to use the RGB with this new built at first but after messing around with the software and getting things setup I really enjoy having it .

This is my 2nd purchase of this ram, running 32gb total in the system. Very fast, stable, no problems to report. The only trouble I had was with the corsair ique software that is supposed to control the lighting. It was consistantly using 10-12% of my processor(corei78700k). Obviously ther is nothing in this small utility that could use that much processor so it must be causing a conflict somewhere. I set the lighting the way i wanted it and uninstalled the utility. Lights work and cpu usage dropped from 12% at idle to 2%. Not a big deal, not worth spending a lot of time on to find out what causes the high cpu usage. Still a good product

This RAM is another quality product from Corsair. Once I got it working, I could get it to look how I wanted very easily with the iCUE Corsair software. It did get a little bit of work to get working though. I had to rollback my motherboard's BIOS to the previous version before the iCUE software would recognize the RGB LEDs. To be clear, the system worked and the full capacity was recognized in Windows at full speed, the only thing that didn't work before the BIOS rollback was control of the LEDs.

Upgraded from vengeance lpx 2400mhz ddr4 ram so let's be honest I didnt notice a major difference in performance if I did it was an unmessurable amount so... however i did not buy these for the purpose of RAM I purchased this for its rgb properties which work well I feel like the software is either off on one or it doesnt respond the same as the other one however an extra light lights up once in a while on one of the sticks where as it does not on the other. Might just be mine but it is noticeable my OCD hates it as well...

First off, do you need these sticks with all their flash and fashion? Not likely. You can buy cheaper DDR4 sticks with no flash or fashion. But do you need these for your tempered glass gaming PC case? Absolutely. First and foremost, these are fast DDR4 memory modules and easily overclockable. Second, the way these things look, are just tops! No silly slits and slats to make them look like a nightclub neon sign, just a nice full faced LED cover with awesome customization via iCUE.

This selection is a staple of quality and performance among builds with Ryzen processors. The frequency is optimal and superb synchronization needed for the chips infrastructure and platform. On top of the excellence in craftsmanship and engineering, you're also awarded class in design and visual aesthetics which in my opinion is unparallel to any other. Buy a pair and tug them one by one out of the package as you experience the finest selection in memory money can buy.

Speed is decent and I dont notice any drawbacks. The only thing I will say is the RGB sometimes inside the ram looks sluggish or you can notice in the pair that ones brighter than the other in certain colors. I have 4 sticks in my pc atm so its fully lit and I can see some partial differences but not all the time. Could be just that stick, so I am not too worried overall I love how it loks and the customization in iCue is really good and easy to use

I recently decided to upgrade my current computer from an older LGA1150 socket to the AM4 socket. In doing so I needed to upgrade from DDR3 to DDR4 ram. I am a Corsair Fanatic with all the peripherals. Out of the box these things performed extremely well and with a little turning I was able to get the same performance as the 3200 mHz version while saving some money! Looking forward to eventually getting 4 sticks of ram and having a block of color in my case.

This RAM is a great choice if you're looking for something reliable that'll also add some flair to your PC. It's been perfectly stable with XMP enabled, I tested four sticks with Memtest86 and it passed with flying colors, and the RGB lighting is very customizable through Corsair's software. My one annoyance is that the RGB lighting stays on when the PC is in sleep mode, but that's not enough for me to knock a star off.

Has Hynix C-Die if anyone was wondering. OC's fine to CL14/3200MHZ and stable for over a month. 1.4-1.45v for memory voltage and 1.1v for SOC. I brought this due to RMA'ing two sets of G.Skill memory and was quite annoyed and didn't want to wait on shipping again, so I brought locally at Best Buy. Colors add a spectacular show with Ryzen's RGB heatsink as well. Recommend a windowed glass case.

I trust Corsair with my RAM, that being said, these will run at the advertised speed of 3000mhz. The build quality is top notch, the heatsinks are excellent and the RGB lighting is beautiful. I was going to go with GSKILL Trident Z till Corsair came out with these and I don't regret it. These appear to be much higher quality than GSKILL. Only Con is RAM is still pricey but that's in general, this is about $40 more than non RGB ram of the same size 16gb.

I LOVE the way this ram looks in my custom PC! I debated between going with these or the cheaper non-LED versions. You could do either- but I knew I'd regret it later on down the line for aesthetics reasons. Controlling the colors is easy, the options are plenty and the ram performs VERY well. I'm using this in conjunction with a GTX 1060 and a Ryzen 5 1600x- flawless performance so far.

I have two sets of these installed on my Asus Z-370E and have them set at 3200mhz with timings of 16-18-18-36. Voltage running at 1.35. Passes memtest with no issues after over 5 hours of running. I control the lighting with the Corsair iCUE software. Overall I’m impressed that this ram can easily handle the settings I have them running at. And the lighting looks awesome once I found settings I liked.

I got these to compliment my new RGB gaming build. The lights do their own color cycle unless you use some other software to control them. I use Asus Aura sync for most of my pc, but unfortunately these are not compatible with that, so I had to also install Corsair's own app. With more sticks you can do more cool effects. I wish they were a bit cheaper and Asus Aura compatible, they'd be 5 stars if so.
