I have the older of course, they're virtuoso for a few years, and absolutely loved them. The only downside, what's the pleather, a headband and ear cups that started to peel. However, the max does not have those. It is cloth all the way around and seems to be very durable. And they are extremely comfortable. They don't sweat and stick to you like the pleather. And the audio is fantastic. I will definitely recommend them.

Build quality feels good. Bass is deep and the ear cups are comfortable. Removable mic is a plus. Noise cancellation could be better, but when you have a game, video or music going on, outside noise is negligible. I personally enjoy the iCue software, but I get that it's not everyone's jam. A bit expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

Great improvement from the last gen. Comfort is so much better and they do not feel as heavy on the head. Sound quality is much better too. Mic sounds great as well.

I transitioned from the Virtuoso XT Wireless headset because I accidentally left the headset on the roof of my car, and the device flew off the car on the trip to my work.
While dealing with the depression of losing my beloved Virtuoso XT Wireless headset at work, I noticed that this brand-new headset had just been released. I loved how the Virtuoso XT Wireless could seamlessly connect three different ways simultaneously via aux cable, Bluetooth, and USB Dongle.
I expected the same experience from this headset. Which is where I would like to give the pros and cons to this device:
Pros:
The headset sounds excellent. The "Sound ID" application is nice, where you spend around 3 - 5 minutes going through different tests to where it will set on giving you a clear, connected sound.
Sound cancellation - The addition of sound cancelation is excellent for someone like me who has ADHD; turning it on helps mute out the sound of my PC fans running in the background or someone moving around. It's not too upfront like other headsets, where it will feel like your ears are being plugged.
Further USB connection distance - I had issues with the Virtuoso XT disconnecting from the USB dongle while sitting right by my PC, which tended to be annoying. This headset can connect throughout the house, and the "50 feet" disclaimer is a conservative estimate. Though this is nice, there is a con about the connection that you will want to read below.
Cons:
Comfortability - **BEWARE Glasses Users** The headset is made to last; that is a fact. The headband is made of different leather, which will last much longer than the Virtuoso XT headset, as mine started chafing after 1.5 years of use. However, the added durability lessens the comfort. I transition from contacts to glasses regularly, and I cannot wear this headset for longer than 1 hour with glasses on. Due to how little cushion is provided on the earmuffs. This is a new device, so no third-party accessories have been made yet, which may make the headset more comfortable.
Consistent Connectivity - This is the biggest downside of the headset and the reason why I will be returning it for a different device. The Virtuoso XT Wireless was seamless, and I expected the same from the MAX... Boy, was I let down; if I'm in a meeting and using the headset with the mic, the Bluetooth suddenly causes all audio I hear to sound like robots or like others are underwater. I will try to disconnect and reconnect the headset, which will fix the issue for maybe... 3 minutes, but then everything reverts to plain lousy audio. The same thing happens with the dongle; I will be playing a game, and then suddenly, the audio just flat-out gives up, and I have to turn the headset off and back on.
A recent update, v. 0.34.411, seemed to fix most of the dongle issues, but the Bluetooth problems are still rampant.
TLDR:
It was going from a device that had three ways of connection that worked seamlessly (Virtuoso XT Wireless) to this device removing the auxiliary port and struggling with two forms of connectivity.
I will advise you to steer away from this headset. For the price, the lack of comfortability, and consistent connection issues with Bluetooth and USB dongle.
Save money by getting the Virtuoso XT RGB Wireless and get a fantastic pair of earpads from WC Freeze that will improve your experience with the headset.

Sounds amazing. Feels good. Amazing battery life. The ANC works wonders. The mic sounds good. ICue software allows you to change the settings to adjust the sound based on what you like such as more bass etc.

Excellent battery life. Voice notifications when battery is running low, tactile volume controls, LED indication to show when the mic is on or off. Honestly couldn’t ask for anything more in a headset.

These headphones are worth every dollar spenr, from the quality of the headband to the earcuffs feeling like they float on your head. Its amazing at what sound can do especially with tehse! And even the free dobly service that comes with them to enchance the sound. Something i dont hear spoken enough about is the siund test. It allows one to set up there own custom hearing with corsairs software to ensure your gaming standards are met!

The Corsair Virtuoso is an excellent gaming headset and easily ranks among the top five I’ve ever used. It delivers outstanding sound quality with rich, immersive audio that enhances both gaming and media experiences. The build quality feels premium, offering a comfortable fit even during long gaming sessions. While the microphone is decent, it doesn’t quite match the high standards set by the rest of the headset. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice for gamers who prioritize audio performance and comfort, but those who rely heavily on voice communication might find the mic a bit lacking.

This headset exceeded my expectations in every way. The audio is crisp, with deep bass and clear highs, making it perfect for gaming, music, or calls. It's incredibly comfortable, even during long hours of use, and the build quality feels solid and premium. If you're already a fan of Corsair, this headset is a no-brainer—it delivers the quality and performance you'd expect. Definitely worth the investment.

Super comfortable and I'm a big fan of the woven ear muffs, sound quality is exceptional, and while I had some issues where the program for the equalizer wouldn't let me have access to the controls I was able to get access and customize the sound to my liking. Overall a really great buy!

I’ve always been a fan of Corsair, and these headphones have lived up to my expectations. Only complaint is they are a bit heavy, and there’s no dedicated interface; however the iCue software for updating the firmware and customizing the lights is quite intuitive.

Great headset! Quality of build is fantastic! Sound is great! Comfortable! Drivers are easy to install! Dolby Atmos recognizes headset with no key needed. BUT... the mic is subpar at best. If you don't care about microphone sound quality than this is your headset!

Amazing wireless headphones, I love the fact that I can connect to my phone and pc at the same time. I will say you have to watch the padding the first set I had the padding came apart only after a couple of months of using it. Best Buy replaced the headphones for me without an issue. Overall GREAT product.

I would love to give this headset 5 stars if it had a wired mode like my old Virtuoso XT headset. Despite that design flaw, the sound quality is much more improved along with build quality, and the sound is superb. The noise canceling is ok. This is mostly because I personally get a headache when it’s activated but that’s just a me thing I guess. The transparency mode is amazing when your content volume is low but it’s not apple air pods max great. If they could improve the transparency mode and offer various noise cancellation frequencies to choose from, as well as a wired connection mode, this headset would be the king of gaming headsets.
