Customers are impressed with the VIRTUOSO MAX Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox's sound quality, battery life, and active noise cancellation. Many appreciate the easy-to-use volume control and the immersive Dolby Atmos experience, along with the balanced bass. However, some customers feel that the headset could be more comfortable and lighter. Additionally, a few have concerns about the headband padding.

Well, I’ll start off by saying this is a great sounding headset. I first heard it at the Best Buy demo station. Sounded better than all the other headsets.
In real life, the sound is indeed excellent. Love the Dolby Atmos. I was hearing details I never heard in any of my other headsets. Bass was decent. Software was simple and not weighted down. Mic was pretty good. The two things that stop this head from 5 stars are the uncomfortable ear cups (which you can swap with aftermarket) and most importantly for gaming IMO, a true chat mix. The volume rotaries are pretty neat, but one is for USB connection and the other Bluetooth. I would have thought the one volume control could have been enough for both of these in its perspective mode and make the other one a chat mix. Maybe one day?
I ended up getting some Audeze Maxwell’s while I had these and the are just a very tad better in every category and have a chat mix. If chat mix isn’t a big deal and these are on sale, jump on them! (Were on sale for $100 off when I purchased)

I have been using the Audeze Maxwell, Turtle Beach Stealth Pro, and Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless over the past two years. Sound quality wise, these are on par with the Maxwells, maybe even better due to the ANC with the right EQ adjustments. Also, the mic is very clear and works very well. The only negatives are (1) it can create some fatigue when wearing them for up to 4 hours straight and (2) there is no manual so you have to figure out how to do everything through trial and error. Even the Corsair website did not list this model (at the time of writing this review on 10/15/2024).
Regardless, overall a really good headset and I plan to use this as my main daily driver.

Seriously Impressed!
Okay, so I took the plunge and bought the Corsair Virtuoso MAX after seeing all the features listed on Best Buy. And let me tell you, I'm absolutely blown away!
First off, the sound quality is incredible. They weren't kidding about those 50mm Graphene drivers. Everything sounds so clear and detailed, whether I'm playing a game or listening to music. I can hear subtle nuances in the audio that I never noticed before with my old headset.
The Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio is a game-changer. It's so immersive! I feel like I'm actually in the game. I can pinpoint exactly where sounds are coming from, which is a huge advantage in competitive games. It's also fantastic for watching movies – it really adds to the cinematic experience.
The microphone is crystal clear. My friends say I sound like I'm right next to them, even when there's background noise. I haven't had any complaints about static or muffled audio, which is a huge plus.
And the Active Noise Cancellation? It's amazing! It blocks out all the distractions, so I can really focus on my game. It's perfect for those late-night gaming sessions when the rest of the house is asleep.
My Verdict:
Honestly, I'm really impressed with the Corsair Virtuoso MAX. It's definitely worth the investment. The sound quality is top-notch, the microphone is clear, and the noise cancellation is fantastic. If you're looking for a premium gaming headset, I highly recommend giving this one a try. I'm so glad I did!
If you're on the fence, just go for it! You won't be disappointed.

I was looking for a headset that could connect to Xbox, PS5, and PC. This headset does just that and more.
Initially, I made the mistake of purchasing the non-Xbox version.
Connecting to devices is quite easy using the provided dongle. It also has Bluetooth functionality.
Xbox offers Dolby surround sound, while PS5 provides 3D audio.
Although it is a bit pricey, I consider it well worth it considering it eliminates the need for multiple headsets.
The audio quality is top-notch, and I would even say it surpasses that of Apple Beats.

I love this heeadset. The sound, noise canceling, and build quality are top notch. My only complaints are the weight causes pain on the top of my head after an hour of gaming. No chatmix and mic is ok.

Has a great ANC. Great value. Use to game and or listen to music. Great sound quality. Easy button layout. I was able to still hear game from bedroom upstairs to downstairs cement walls. It has very great long range radius. Nice light up to know when your device is on mute. Comfortable ear cuffs

This headset sounds incredible. The audio is clear, the bass is punchy without being muddy, and the spatial sound works great for gaming. It’s extremely comfortable for long sessions and the build quality feels premium. The mic is crisp too. Easily one of the best wireless headsets I’ve owned.

So far, these have not disappointed me - I purchased them specifically to use for Arc Raiders after having issues with a previous pair. They've performed well. Sound is good, noise cancellation is fine and the mic seems to work well enough. They're more comfortable than others I've tried, but do sit slightly looser than I wish on the head. The price point is really what keeps these at a 3 for me - $350 after taxes is just a lot of money for headphones that "don't disappoint". I would want them to blow me away, and these simply don't.

This headset is exactly the same as the PC version, however, it doesn't include Corsair's SoundID plugin like the standard PC version does. I would recommend this headset for Xbox only users and the other version for everyone else.
