Best decision
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switching from the Audeze Maxwell gaming headset to the CORSAIR - VIRTUOSO was a game-changer for me. The audio quality is exceptional, providing immersive sound with deep bass and crisp highs. The headset's comfort is outstanding, thanks to plush memory foam and a lightweight design. The build quality is top-notch, and the wireless connectivity is seamless. With a 20-hour battery life, this premium gaming headset delivers an all-around impressive experience. Highly recommended

Wow. Just... Wow!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a long and rambly review. I am going to be voicing opinions about this headset, mild critiques, and many compliments. I will not go into techy details as I feel it would be unnecessary for some users. So I have gone through a great many headsets in my time. Including this pair a good 3 times. I've always loved trying out new things all the time, leading me to try Razer, Logitech, Fnatic, HyperX, Steelseries, and finally Corsair. I think I've found my keeper in the Virtuoso SE. So, as I have said, I've had this particular headset 3 times. The first time involved me using this headset very briefly but I initially returned it because it put pressure on my skull in an uncomfortable spot. Prior to that, I had a Corsair Void Pro, which had been a long-time favorite for its comfort.. The Void had a softer foam padding, and after coming from that I was spoiled by the plushy softness. Therefore I returned the headset to pursue another favorite, the Nari Ultimate. Purchase number 2 ended up with me gifting the headset to my brother as he needed some good gear and I still had my Nari Ultimate. Finally, Purchase number 3 came when I figured I would give the Virtuoso a sporting chance to contend with the many headsets I have worn. I realized where the headset loosened and therefore put less pressure on my skull. Overall they still aren't the most comfortable headsets I've worn, my ears and part of my head start to ache after wearing these for hours at a time, but they aren't too bad and are aesthetically pleasing to boot. With the microphone taken out, they can simply look like expensive headphones when plugged into a phone. I then tested the wireless range by going to the kitchen for a drink, a good 25 feet from the PC through multiple walls, no loss in connection which is something even the Nari couldn't boast. A success filled with beer and happiness. Next was a thorough audio test, with me using it in movies, games, music, and ultimately hifi music which I will get to later. Overall the Virtuoso feels very clean, with no muddy sound, sharp precise notes that are complementing to many genres of music, including House, EDM, Jazz, Swing, Metals, Rock, and some hip hop. Of course, they aren't perfect for every situation, lacking the big booming bass of other headsets, but again sharpness wins for me. Are they the ear filling plushy goodness that was the Nari Ultimate? No, but while I don't have the immense audio volume or vibrating haptic sensors, the quality makes up for it tenfold. In Godzilla, I was impressed by the bass. In many Animes, My Hero, Rosario + Vampire, Shomin Sample, the voices are clear and precise, almost like using a center channel speaker. And then came Hifi, or High-Fidelity audio. This fella boasts hifi capability in the wired mode. Mildly inconvenient for a wireless buff like myself, but after using Tidal to give me hifi songs to listen to, this is almost audiophile levels of awesome. I've heard of Sennheisers being high end, but I am thoroughly convinced by the audio coming out from these headsets. As I write this review, I've listened to Heilung's Lifa album, and am currently enjoying Daft Punk's Alive 2007 album. Simply nothing I've listened to in the past compares to this quality. Admittedly, this is only my second experience with Hifi, with my first being with premium speakers, but I am just immensely impressed by the multi-directional audio feel and superior depth of the hifi. BIG win for me. Battery Life is pretty average for a good headset, getting up to 18 hours continuously, or many days spread out a long period of time. I can't attest to the microphone's quality too much, all I can say is that my friends can hear me well enough and that makes me happy. It is a 9.5mm for those who are tech inclined. Basically bigger than most others I've seen. It doesn't come with a pop filter oddly, but again I can't say this is a fault. Now value, these headsets are expensive. $200+ expensive. Therefore, it puts them in a rare category of extreme high end headphones, to which it is a solid contender. My others being the Logitech Pro, and Razer Nari Ultimate. It stands tall with it's Hifi capabilities and great aesthetics, far exceeding that of the Nari. Not as comfy as the Pro or the Nari, but that's a subjective opinion. Overall, it has neodymium magnets, a big plus for premium audio. 50mm drivers, 7.1 Virtual, good and flexible microphone usage, strong aesthetics, so it earns it's high price tag. Overall, I will rate these headphones an 8 out of 10. The Audio quality for Music and movies is overall sublime. Games is just as nice, but comfort is lacking for me. I wish it had softer foam on all the areas where it matters. Ears, crown of the head, as it would cause less pain for me, but for those inclined to try some really nice headsets, I say go for it!

Excellent hardware ruined by terrible software
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.+5 Star build and sound quality. +Very attractive looking headset. +Comfortable, but a bit heavy. Wouldn't want to wear longer than about 2 hours. -Terrible software with awful lag and buggy. I really wanted to like these. I consider myself a fanboy of corsair and own several of their products, from keyboards to pc towers and CPU coolers, but the iCue software continues to get worse. Corsair if you are reading this please take this to heart as its really making it hard for me and others to continue to support you. Ultimately I had to return, and exchange for another brand. Push to talk in discord seemed to be randomly engaging as my guildmates heard a conversation between me and my wife that was clearly not meant to be heard. Mic input was engaged several other times when I was never pressing my push to talk button. When using push to talk and working, there was consistently a 0.5-1 second delay even when wired in. This is unacceptable and almost certainly the fault of the software. I gave it about a week and tried updating iCue, but nothing improved. This is just unacceptable at the $200 price point.

Lightweight and Superb directional audio
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had a handful for different brands of headphones and this is by far my favorite I have let rest on my head. As a PC I get to pair this with windows sonic for surround sound gaming allowing me to hear directional audio better than ever before. The lightweight design and long lasting battery makes for long gaming sessions (8+ hours have yet to exact check) to go with ease. Optional voice notifications from headphones telling me the battery status, when charge complete and when battery is critical to plug back is via usb for an easy charge. Can also have a task bar icon for the battery level. Detachable microphone has been a worthy upgrade in of itself with how clear sounding and high quality it has been described as to me from my discord buddies. Good looking headset too.

Good, with caveats
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brief overview with some good and bad points: Good: Wired sound is phenomenal and able to hit Hi Res levels 96 KHz). Bass is tight and doesn't hit the super low ends, but with tweaking, it isn't bad. Mids and highs are pretty crisp and clean. Wireless is almost flawless, with occasional LoS issues and some sporadic dropping out, but I can walk all around my house and into the front yard out to the yard and they do fairly well. Build quality is really nice, and the connectivity options are solid too (used mainly on PC and PS4 with USB, Switch and Xbox require the 3.5" plug if memory serves me correctly). Really light clamping force on your ear/jaw; compared to some Cloud Alphas I have, these thing barely squeeze my head. But your mileage may vary. Bad: Comfort. While the clamping force is pretty low, after a couple of hours, I either have to adjust these to a more comfortable position on my head, or just take a break and take them off completely. ICue software. It's typical Corsair garbage and barely gives you any flexibility to dial in the sound. It does have EQ adjustments, and side-tone and surround/stereo toggles, but beyond that, there isn't much. I ended up using Equalizer APO and Peace to really dial in the settings.

Great headset, but only usb wireless.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazed at how loud these things get and how good they sound. Only thing that is a little disappointing is they are not fully bluetooth capable and can only connect to the PC via usb wirelessly.

Great headset!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing headset! Clear sound on PC and PS4. Easy setup and flawless wireless. The microphone is clear and no one has issues hearing my voice. It's very comfortable to wear (I have a giant head and glasses and they're not too tight like other headsets). The surround sound on console isn't the best but is passable. There are a couple of annoying thing that are annoying. One is how the mute button doesn't work if you're manually plugged into a PS4 controller via an aux cable. The other is how you can't change the RGB when playing on console. I wish there was a way to utilize the RGB capability when playing on console - even if it had a default color change (which happens when its plugged in).

Great headset!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset is pretty comfortable, very lightweight. The only downside I've come across so far is that the clamping force isn't very strong, if I shake my head the headset kind of wobbles, but that's okay. Sound quality is great, bass is clean and highs and lows are crisp. The range is kind of lacking, won't travel past walls very well.

Comfortable, great sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone that has used a wired headset (Astro A40s to be specific) comfort and sound quality have always been paramount for me. I am easily bothered by pressure on my ears as I wear glasse. I tried other headsets aside from my Astros such as the steel series artics 7s if memory serves, and they were uncomfortable and pinched my ears. Now the Virtuosos are a little more pricey, but you're most definetly paying for what you get. The best sound quality, very comfortable, great battery life (plug them in at night like you do your phone and you'll be good all day) mic quality is fantastic, all while being wireless.

So Far So Good
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had these headphones for nearly a week and and i can happily say that there have been no issues. There are two main reasons why i really enjoy this pair of headphones for my console, the looks and the sound quality. The design and looks of this headset is really top notch. When I unboxed these headphones i did not get any feeling that I was opening anything but a top of the line gaming headset. The gun metal mixed with the oversize ear covers really pleased the eye. Another neat feature i really enjoyed was the onboard (on ear phone) syncing control. The set up was a breeze too. Last but not least, the sound and range of these phones are very impressive. The ear coverings easily create a barrier to the outer world which amplifies the base and mids. The crisp treble is also high quality. When I mix a quality sound performance and a well thought out design, I turn into a happy customer. These are the reasons why I recommend these headphones to anyone in the market.

Nice product, did not work for me
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these for making calls while working from home. All of the office headsets were sold out in all the stores near me. I call through my computer and require a USB headset. I was really hoping these would work - it has great sound and a nice sleek design. Favorite part was that the mic would turn red while muted... It's the little things in life, right?? Plus the mute button was easy to find and quick to respond - I have dogs, so this is a must. They were comfortable to wear. They maybe were a bit tight, but I have a head that is on the larger side and I figured it would break in overtime. It did not hurt my ears. But alas, the call quality was awful. It did a lot of snap, crackle and pop, almost like I had an 80s filter on it. It would break in and out making conversations impossible. My PC tower sits not even two feet from me, so it wasn't a connection issue. Solid product. Sleek design. Great sound quality for music. But ultimately did not work for my situation given the call quality.

It’s...fine...
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset is...fine... While the headset itself works good, my complaint is with the icue software. The sound quality is hollow and doesn’t have much depth. Mids and highs are ok and bass level is slightly better than most headsets. Spatial surround is good and 7.1 is decent enough, but implementation is not. That’s mainly because the software is just not good. Connectivity is sort of poor unless using the wired mode., could be a windows 10 problem mostly. Battery life is unimpressive. While I can’t remember what the advertised life is, I can tell you I’m constantly charging it. The usb-c is a nice touch, the the mic plug is still micro usb, which is not so good. Mic monitor works, sometimes, it’s mostly unreliable and doesn’t work all the time. I find myself constantly fooling around with the settings in icue. Headset wasn’t too comfortable and it made my ears sweat. It’s a nice feeling and great looking accessory but too many headaches for me to keep dealing with.

Great Wireless Head set!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.these are top notch and have great quality just like all of my Corsair products. the fit and finish is was better than i thought and videos dont do it justice. they are loud and the mic is clear. Some people said that they are heavy or clamp too tight but they are not more heavy than the Steel Series Arctic 9x I had for xbox. these weigh around 300ish grams. maybe some people where wearing them wrong or something. they remind me of my wifes beats wireless headphones. they have around the same clamping force. i can easily wear these for hours on end.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They have a good fit. They are a bit heavy compared to my wired headset. The battery last quite a while for long play sessions. When you plug in the dongle, make sure you plug it into the motherboard. I first plugged mine into the front of the PC and had some feedback.

||Posted . Wireless and wired modes. The only thing that takes getting used to is the mute button under the mike by the earpiece. Corsair has of course integrated this into ICUE. Highly worth the price although a little expensive.

Amazing build, subpar audio
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me begin by stating that I'm a huge fan of Corsair products. I've been building my PCs primarily with their components for years, including keyboards and mice. Quality is one of the first attributes I think of when I'm considering Corsair. Those factors are what lead me to buy this product and I honestly didn't have to think twice to make the purchase decision. I wanted a high-quality product to replace my existing headphones and the versatility of this item is the second factor that helped me make the decision. So having said all of that, I was disappointed after a few days of testing these out. Upon opening the product, the quality and presentation is top-notch, arguably equal to an Apple product. Included are a nice case, quality detachable mike, USB cable, 3.5 cable, wireless dongle, and of course the headphones. This is a truly complete package unless you consider a stand part of it because that's the only thing it doesn't come with that could make it truly complete in the eyes of some. The headphones have a switch for setting them to work in either wireless mode and the cable can be used to charge them or using them as a USB headset, which is nice. So, once I first started using them, I was taken aback by how lacking in the deep bass everything sounded that I listened to on any platform. I used them wirelessly, via USB wired connection, and with the 3.5 cable, I used them on my Macbook Pro, my gaming desktop, my iPhone, my PS4, and my Switch. There was naturally a lot of variation between all of these platforms but the one thing that was consistent was the lack of bass depth. The mids and highs are fantastic, let's be clear about that. For some folks, these might have the perfect range of sound once configured correctly. You can hear the bass in a lot of instances, but you can't really "feel" it if that makes sense. in I bought these to replace my Astro a50 (which I was truly disappointed with the price I paid) and those had a fantastic range of sound and deep bass that could be adjusted to taste quite easily. The only way that I found that I enjoyed listening to these was once I purchased Dolby Atmos for Headphones. That made a huge difference. I tried the settings in iCue (which I personally do like that software) but I found those pretty lacking. Which leads me to my next observation. I was pretty underwhelmed by the 7.1 Surround setting. This feels emulated or simulated by tweaking the EQ. That being said, other software does detect these as a supported product for headphone surround. For example, Windows has built-in Spatial Sound settings that detect this headset, as does Dolby Atmos. Windows Spatial Sounds better than the 7.1 configuration to my ears, but Dolby Atmos is far better. That being said, Dolby Atmos is an additional purchase. In my opinion, I shouldn't have to make an additional purchase to make the product performed as expected. I only paid $10 for Atmos and it can be used with other products, so it's not a big deal but it is a factor I wanted to share to make potential buyers aware. One other complaint that I have, which also others have stated, is the wireless performance. I consistently had dropouts, periodic static pops, and the compression is quite obvious. It's possible that driver or firmware updates might address this, but not if it's due to the radio hardware in the headphones or the wireless transmitter. I know this was a long review, but I wanted to help buyers to make an informed decision, especially given the premium price point.

Found this one on sale and am I glad I did. I had a little trouble get the icue software to find it at first but after I reset my computer it found it no problem. The sound quality is great and they are pretty comfortable. The top cushion isn’t as comfortable as my Voids were but the sound quality is considerably better. Great buy and very happy,

Very nice, but ended up returning
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the market for some nice headphones. I have been using Bose in-ear wired earbuds (soundsports) for about 4 years now. I would use them for literally everything; music, youtube, gaming, Zoom meetings, TV shows and movies. They were amazing and versatile, but I wanted something powerful that had impressive sound and a good microphone for gaming and talking to people on discord. After some research I went with these, because I loved the design and most of the feedback appeared to be good. Unfortunately, after just a couple days, I had to take them back. The cons outweighed the pros quite heavily. First of all, these have NO BLUETOOTH. Yes, I knew that when I purchased, but I didn't realize how annoying it was until after I started using them. This makes them pretty much wired headphones anywhere you go, unless you're sitting at your PC at your desk. Another major con of these headphones was that the speaker grill is so close to your ear that it constantly had contact with my ear. The headphone cup is simply not deep enough, and it is flat. They are also somewhat heavier than I would like, after just an hour I noticed their weight on my head causing discomfort. Also, one big thing to note, the sound is not good for the price paid. Sound is very subjective, and I'm not a huge audiophile, but I noticed right away that the bass is very shallow out of the box. The sound has been clearly designed for gaming only, not for versatile use (music, youtube, movies etc.). I may have needed to mess with the equalization settings, but I don't think that would have magically made them sound far better. The reason I say this is because when I returned them I ended up getting the Bose QuietComfort 35 II, which is FAR better in terms of sound and versatility (bluetooth, better carrying case). The only thing is the mic, but I will just purchase a separate mic. I think I made a mistake with not doing enough research. These headphones are very purposefully aimed at heavy gaming/streaming, and I wanted to use them for all kinds of other stuff as well. However, I have to note that the sound and comfort are simply lacking. I would highly recommend going to the Best Buy store and trying them on first (they had some display models when I went to return them). This would tell you pretty much instantly if they are comfortable and if the sound is good to your ears. Good luck with your headphone search and I hope you find the best headphones that are comfortable and sound wonderful to you :)

Great but heavy.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From the build quality to the sound quality it is a great headset. The battery life is average and it is well designed with nice packaging. There are a few downside for me, despite being comfortable it is a bit heavy and it does give me a headache after prolonged time wearing them. You also need to treat the mice with some care, if can get damaged where it connects to the headset and stop working but that’s only if you brutalize them.
